    Here are mine:

    Pros
    - Wake is back
    - McKinnie seems like an upgrade in run game and pass pro
    - Patterson may be back
    - Tannehill-to-Wallace glacier beginning to thaw
    - Coaching staff was backed into a corner and ran the ball more... Maybe they continue to do so.
    - Young team, so they are likely to play better the more games they have experienced
    - still have 4 div games ahead of us
    - easier schedule than first 8 games, which we managed to go .500 on

    Cons
    - Clabo or Martin at RT still gives one doubts
    - Does the coaching staff really get it, or will they revert to the run
    - Staff still loves Daniel Thomas' boner-erect running style.
    - No room to lose, or we begin to become a longshot
    - Some winter road games
    - Considering the last point, I wish we had a kicker I trusted for those snowy games
    - Lost Brandon Gibson, and it showed with only 13 offensive pts scored

    What are yours?

I'm not convinced the staff "loves" Daniel Thomas as much as they likely believe in the committee approach and Thomas is what we're stuck with.

and on 3rd down, we use Thomas because Miller has been very good as receiving anything beyond a dumpoff.

Quietly, Egnew and Clay have become an combination at that Te/Fb role.

Egnew has earned more playing time, and really is no longer "eggnog" and the guy who is always inactive.

I'd like to see him get more targets as he is a man child athletically

We need to stick with the run but our passing game has to improve or we won't score enough points to win most games. We lose to Cincy without defensive scores. Can't count on that

I think the biggest problem with the passing game is that we had no running game.

Happy Saturday morning, that win keeps us hangin in there Bk, feels good to watch college ball after a win ya know..

Pros..our best football player is healthy and got some national publicity, I think he will respond with that notoriety with another level of play..

Just because Mckinnie was in the block, doesn't mean sh@&, imo, and I really dug deep into him this offseason, he was insulted by the offer by the ravens, and shut it down, I would bet money that he was in better condition to start the season then he's at now...he wanted a multiyear deal in the worst way and was determined to play at a probowl level..he's a very large upgrade on a few levels...and just for fun, I think when your part if the U, and you come home, it could change things.

The evolution of Dion Jordan and how he is being developed..all over the field hopefully...he just does to many things well, and has shown glimpses of something we may have not ever seen before..space...he covers more, which allows others to cover less..

Put apb on reshad jones...this sucks man...wasn't the biggest fan but I thought he would be more solid than this, maybe him hanging out with gold diggers in Atlanta affected his offseason training..I'm not positive, but he doesn't seem like he's real sharp, so studying of the craft and your position needs to take priority at his age..nothing wrong with getting some strange, but he better stay focused considering the contract he received.

Man are we a rhythm based offense..like holy sh@&..this is who we are, this is what our Qb is best at, and hopefully because of the continued reps with the new additions, (Wallace, Egnew, Matthews, Miller,) this timing offense and Qb will start to look better with more reps and better protection..I mean it's not rocket science, obviously in a rhythm/timing based offense you must have proper protection to have it flow..we haven't got that to get that chemistry, but this is where Mckinnie makes everyone better along the front, the rest of the line doesn't have to worry about the sieve on the left side, they can focus more in their own responsibilities.

More Charles Clay please...you know what I like doing??. I was one who missed on the evaluation of Charlie Clay, but I like going back to their college stuff to see how I missed it, I'd like to see him lineup everywhere, I'd like to see him pound the rock for a few carries, I mean just because he lines up in the backfield doesn't signal run..

Rishard Matthews is gonna be a good football player...he's got great hands, he's super strong, and no'one takes him down on the first tackle, you wanna have some fun, just go back and look at that kid playing with Kaepernick, he did some freakin cool things, you will rarely see him get tackled by the first guy, and I think once this dude learns the game, he can be better than Gibson..

Mike Egnew becoming Publix worthy eggnog???. Could it be???maybe I shouldn't talk like that or the nflpa will have to investigate...lets hope he continues to develop, interesting how we take players who are good at certain things and make them become more versatile while sacrificing what they were good at.

Will Yeatman is the name I want to bust thru...his technique is very good, and I think we should throw him in the fire at first site of trouble on the right side.

Would like to see Jordan at outside backer, Ellerbe on the other and Misi in the middle...best players on the field right?.. I know it's a big change but why not tinker this offseason.?

Padre...your boy Thigpen...I've been done for a while..offseason target for an explosive returner is on..should of signed my boy Trindon Holliday when we had the chance..

Don't see how 142 yards constitutes no running game, unless you're referring strictly to the 2nd half. Bengals were only giving up 91ypg avg before Thursday night.

    That's one of my cons:
    1. we don't make adjustments at halftime, our opponents do, and we are lost in 2nd half because we have no answers for opponent halftime adjustments.
    2. Sherman's play calling hasn't adjusted well at all IMO to our injuries and we are way too predictable.
    3. Tannehill is a fairly decent QB but he isn't good enough (yet) to put team on his shoulders and overcome adversity, teams smell blood in 2nd half against us and we get eaten alive, we were ahead by exact same score last two half times and did nothing in second half, only bright spot was Tannehill drive for tying FG with 1:18 left vs. Cincy.
    4. If we couldn't beat the Bills at home, how are we going to beat them in Buffalo?
    5. McKinnie has helped OL, but Turnstyle Clabo (TC) is back at RT.
And why the f*** aren't we starting Nate Garner at RT instead of TC?
Also worried about Incognito not coming back, anyone hear what his neck injury is and when he's expected back?

    Pros:
Wake is back and Vernon seems to me to be improving over last year,
Dion Jordan should improve his pass rush as he gets used to the NFL level.
Lamar Miller finally showed he can have a 100 yard game, and Daniel Thomas has been reasonably complementary, if wean only convince Sherman to not abandon the running game every second half

No I wasn't clear. I meant the biggest problem up until the Bengals game. sorry about that.

the problem with our passing game against the Bengals was no Gibson.

I think the coaching staff is slowly (very slowly) realizing that we don't have the ability to run the type of offense they seem to be in love with. Right now we need to control the clock and play defense. If Tannehill has to throw 40 times he's going to turn the ball over with our offensive line. Our return game really, really seems to suck but thankfully we have a really good punter to play the field position game. I think we have the makings of a really solid team that plays defense, runs the ball and hits some big plays here and there but it remains to be seen if the coaching staff is going to be stubbornly trying to pass the ball more and more.

The loss of Gibson is huge, he was possibly our best player on offense and really was becoming a borderline star in our offense. He was THE goto guy in clutch situations I think his loss is going to cost us a game or two which might keep us out of the playoffs. Hartline has shown he can shoulder the load at times so hopefully he can carry us with some big 3rd down plays. I could see us being 8-8 with some very close losses that Gibson could have made a difference in, we'll have to see.

    Pros:
    - Miami has an extra "mini-bye" ongoing right now due to playing on Thursday and not having their next game until MNF. I hope they take advantage of the layoff.
    - I think Miami has changed their running style, for the most part, for the better and Lamar Miller is getting more involved.
    - Charles Clay, Michael Egnew, and Dion Sims have all shown strides one way or another over the past month. They need to stay involved.
    - Rishard Matthews appears like he'll get more involved in the offense.
    - Getting Cameron Wake, Paul Soliai, and Dannell Ellerbe back healthy should provide a boost to the defense.

    Cons:
    - Miami is 4-4 and has to step through the minefield carefully if they want to make the playoffs. They still have the same coaching staff.
    - The Mike Pouncey subpoena. Do we really know what's going to come out of that issue?
    - The NFLPA has basically launched full into the Jonathan Martin deal. Miami has until 4pm Tuesday to add him back to the roster or he goes on the NFI list.
    - If Martin doesn't come back, Tyson Clabo is back at right tackle.
    - Miami's defense is not very good as an entire group. We've seen individuals and individual units have good games. 7 straight games of 20+ points allowed. Yikes.
    - Losing Brandon Gibson is going to sting for a while. It will be compounded if Miami struggles to run the ball.

Sort of with Gibby, Matthews and THill have chemistry, he had no problem tossing him the ball and Matthews repaid that via catching the darn thing.

To me, it all comes down to the OL and THill not turning the ball over making things even harder on the Defense.

Heh, I'll still defend Thigpen Deej, to me overall ST play has slipped since Don Jones caused that fumble, blocking, kick coverage, field goal kicking, all slipping

Kind of cool, PFF has started covering Special Teams in their excellent "Third Phase" series

    https://www.profootballfocus.com/blog/2013/10/31/the-third-phase-week-8/

Basically, Thiggy is running to darkness, when he needs a longer return he breaks outside as there is nothing happening up the middle of the field.

Hopefully Matthews can turn into a good replacement for Gibson, Matthews is a nice big target and is fairly quick. He did catch what? Three passes vs. Cincy I think. If he clicks, we might not miss Gibson as much as I expect. Problem is the time it may take for Tannehill to develop the same chemistry with Matthews as he had with Gibson.

Sure hope we resign Dustin Keller and Brandon Gibson in the offseason, they are both on one year deals. Gibson has earned an extension. Keller likely won't cost too much because he still has to prove to us and the league that he can be a top tier TE.

thigpen is running everywhere there isn't lanes..he's running up the backs of his blockers, he needs to change his attacking angles and that only comes with vision and clear thinking..he's been pretty poor all season, #15 average for kickoffs..#27 for punt return...below average..

I thought that at first, but I think it's that they somehow don't trust Miller enough or something...He was hardly used after the fumble and the offense showed it... I like having a guy to 'spell' the main guy, but this back and forth just doesn't seem to be working, or are we, the fans, the only one that sees that ?? Give the boy the ball...

OT: The OL HAS to improve in order for us to go anywhere. Tanny can pick apart D's well enough, but needs a little time that he is just not getting now.

The running game has looked up for two weeks. Keep it going...

The DL isn't dominating like they've shown they can do consistently. They smothered Cleveland, but since then they've been so-so. Coyle has to adapt better in-game for us to be successful.

Clay is turning into the Keller guy we had hoped for, except now they are holding him back to chip and help the OL. Feed him the ball more...

2nd half and in game adjustments - This was the major difference I saw between Sparano and Philbin last season. This year, this team comes out ill-prepared in the 2nd half. Hope we aren't going to be ill-prepared by the staff for the second half of the season...

4 division games, not 6... we already played 2 - losses to bills and pats.

    8 games total left.
    6 conference.
    4 division - @stej, pats, @buff, and stej
    2 NFC - @Tampa and Carolina
    2 AFC - SD and @PB

Agree on the loss of Gibson, but Matthews made a few catches. Hope he can pick up the slack going forward.

    I could see:
    W Jets
    L @Jets
    W @Buff
    L Pats
    W Tampa
    W Carolina
    L SD
    W PB

9-7 Record. Probably the same record as whoever gets that last wildcard spot, but lose out on tiebreaks.

#15 is actually slightly above avg in a 32 team league

One thing I have noticed, he att's more deep kickoff returns from the EZ then I'm accustomed to seeing in the pansy NFL of today

I can't believe people believe Ryan is a disappointment. He's 10th in yards, 13th in TD's 19th in rating and completion % and unfortunately 5th in interceptions. We have a quarterback who in his second year is a middle of the pack QB. Hell we've been begging for middle of the pack with what we've had the last few years. The only way he can be a disappointment is if you really expected Dan Marino's 2nd year. Here are a few of his numbers through 8 games last year and this year. Granted he was hurt in the one Jets game so that affects his numbers a bit.

    Year 1
    Yards: 1,977
    TD: 11
    Int: 9
    Comp %: 60.6

    Year 2
    Yards: 1,762
    TD's: 5
    Int: 7
    Comp%: 50%

Also in Dolphins History he is 6th in passing yards 7th in TD's and 8th in rating. If he hits ESPN's projections then he could very well move up to 4th in Yards tied for 5th in TD's and his rating would stay the same. He is the best quarterback we've had since Marino and Pennington's one great year, and he is improving and progressing. I sure as hell haven't been disappointed yet.

Also in his first 8 games last year he didn't throw a TD pass in 4 of them. So far this year he had his first 0 TD game in game 8.

So if Tannehill continued at the current pace he'd finish

    Year
    Yards: 3954
    TD: 22
    Int: 18
    Comp %: 60.6

Not unacceptable, though for me to be happy, I'd like to see the INTs at 15 or less.

One thing I've noticed is how he's slowing down as he approaches his wall..he's trying to get to the hypothetical Los and make decisions then...can't do that, decisions must be made way before you hit that line as to where your going and it must be done at full speed..good returners see things in angles..soon as he catches it, he sees one, runs full speed, one he sees he has to change his angle, he changes it at full speed, and so on and so forth.

The staff is certainly going out of their way to make sure Daniel Thomas is productive. When I rewatched the game vs Cin, I noticed that Lamar Millar did his damage with only 5 OL in the game. When Thomas was when in the game, they went 6 OL or pulled some crazy misdirection in order for him to gain yardage. Miller probably ran out of that 6 OL formation only once or twice the entire game.
