Unlike what a week of bridge jumping trolls trying to say how this team has fallen apart at the seems and is history. Here's Tannehill saying we stuck together like a team a got threw this one. Sorry it's not over yet. There are good pieces on this team to build a good future yet. http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-playe...nehill-We-stuck-together-and-played-as-a-team
But if it looks and smells like a troll ? Genuine dolphin fans unable to help stop themselves from throwing tantrums and always morphing every topic into another phase of their ongoing ranting..... That's what he was referring to, you got awfully defensive. Not surprising. The phins are at .500 And will ride this little high for ten days as they prepare for Bucs on Monday night. I just hope everyone who gave up last week is enjoying basketflopBall season. Looooozerssssss. Just like everyone that was complaining about the team in the stands last night, and left early. Your Pathetic ! Knee jerk this !
Funny how this gets said every year [after year]. while I do agree, the question that remains is, when will the future finally get here?
Exactly,I hope they are right but please dont pat yourselves on the back when you have been wrong the last decade or so. In saying this it sure felt good to win last night and I expect a win in tampa but the theme of this team in the last decade has been when you expect them to win they let you down. I am sick of the troll comments also we don't want to be right all we do is want to win.
Yeah that was a spectacular, history making, last minute drive for...a long field goal...to tie the game. Almost as spectacular as the two failed posessions in overtime, or all the 3-and-outs in regulation. The offense just scored 10 points in 60+ minutes and it was the defense that won the game. Regardless of what you think of the team as a whole, the wheels are falling off the offense.
We don't score 30 points a game.. We are not a throw it around the field team.. I think we found 2 aspects of our identity last night.. We are a running football team, aggressive corners that bait qb's, and tann is best working out of the no huddle once the run has been established... That being said, the buc are not a good team! Someone tell sherm that don't mean give tann some air play... Run the damn football.. My signature since I joined this great site....
We are all hungry for a strong consistent team it just gets old watching little stories explode into total failure marathons as we have to watch the year unfold.
This team has always been a team with spurts. It did feel good winning last night but I tend to keep things in perspective for what they are. A lot of folks may not agree with my perspective but hey, it is what it is. We are too much of a Hyde and Jeckyll team and have been for way too long. we started out like no body could beat us and then reality strikes again. I've not been able to figure it out but look at all the top notch FAs we've signed over the years. great players with another team and suck here, only to leave and be better somewhere else. It is bad ju ju or something, for sure. The talent is there but we're just not consistent with anything other than the fact that no matter how good we're playing, it will head south at any moment. Maybe Dade County should get a new water source. Couldn't hurt.
well we win one game and these idiots come out of the woodwork and they pretend we are a good team they will then blame people who are honest and realistic. when we lose .
Which would be fine if last night's performance was an anomaly, which it was not. Miami ranks 25th in yards per game, and 20th in points per game. We're a West Coast Offense that can't execute short routes, can't succeed through the air, and have stumbled onto a new-found power running identity that we abandon when we're winning. Talk about a mess.
Well, the original poster doesn't know how to spell brigade, and you don't seem to know how to form the possessive. Maybe it's just because I'm a teacher myself, but I find that disheartening.
Maybe after 15+ years of average to bad football, some of us thats been around since the 70's just are not that excited anymore.
I remember a time when being a .500 team was well below what was expected of the Miami Dolphins. Now people are gloating about it and trying to get people who fear a "bad" season to come eat crow. My how things have changed in the last ten years or so.
I didn't even say eat crow to anyone we limped threw a win. I was referring to how when Martin had his episode how a few posters out of no where come up with the locker room has come apart, the team can't work together all coaches and players are bailing on one another ever one is pointing fingers at total failure. I say to them go #%@! yourself. Learn to support the good and if your just a troll get outta our face.
How many times in one thread do you need to point out that a word was misspeleeed? And for your spelling bee, your smart enough to figure the word out and it won't be my last misspelled word either. Try and stick with the topic it's a bit more mature.
The topic was totally immature, basically calling anyone who had criticized the team a troll. Talking about spelling is preferable to discussing how you just insulted everyone who disagreed with you.
According to this thread... If I think Mike Sherman is a bad offensive coordinator, which I do, I'm a troll. ...Jim Turner is out of his depth and should be fired, I'm a troll. ...we don't attack the middle of the field enough, I'm a troll. ...we don't run enough screens, I'm a troll. ...we don't move Tannehill around enough, I'm a troll. ...our defense is horrific on 3rd down, I'm a troll. ...we are bad against the run, I'm a troll. ...our kick returner is a moron, I'm a troll. ---our GM should be fired, I'm a troll. Starting a thread to say "look, everything is fine, we won a game, anyone who criticizes the team is a troll" is hilarious. This team TRIED to piss away a 14 point lead in a game we should have put away. They did piss away a 14 point lead the week before. They have gotten killed in 2nd halves for two straight weeks. Saying "everything is fine" is the EXACT attitude that has us in the place we are, mediocrity. 7-9/8-8 year after year in the NFL is a death spiral. Eventually, you get capped out trying to retain the players who actually are good, you overpay for free agents, rinse and repeat. 3-0 start and we are 4-4. I'm not celebrating. 7-9/8-8 means the staff is likely retained and Jeff Ireland gets another year. That should not be celebrated, it should should lead to concern.
I'd hardly call myself a troll, but I still stand by 7-9, 8-8 at best. That won't get us into the POs... Seriously, looking at the schedule, IF we can split the AFCE games and pull the Bucs and Stillers out, we could be 9-7 but will that get us into the dance ?? I don't think so. This team would have to play like they did against Cleveland to win more than that. Think of it, our fantastic O scored 13 points against Cincy. Now, Cincy has a pretty good D, but 13 points won't win too many games... This O has to step it up and so far, they haven't....
Forget what year it was, but the Dolphins went 6-8. Shula's first losing season as Dolphins HC. I wanted to die, it was aweful. Think we lost to Minnesota to finish out the season. Losing has taken a toll on all of us.
UT...how do you organize the variables when concluding 8 and 8 is rubbish when this is the 2nd year of the new head coach..question?? Do you believe when you hire a coach the franchise must allow the patience for that coach to fill a roster with his type of players?, and how long do you feel is a fair timeline for that to happen?.. 2 or 3 years? 8 and 8 would be an improvement on the last year which is only the 2nd year of the new head coach, and if you think the organization should allow three years to show how he builds a football team, then why break things up if the improvent is there from first to 2nd year, don't you give any creedence or residual affect on contuniuty?
That's the problem with this board. If you don't kiss the teams ***, you're shouted down. No room for differing opinions.
And none of the members of that team are around anymore. Hell, even the owner and logo have changed. I just don't see what they have to do with now.
I have to agree Deej, 8-8 isn't rubbish, but for the Fireland crowd, it'll be yet another reason to bash anything and everything he does or this team does...
Once again, no its not true. You get attacked if your arguments have no facts or if the extent of your posts are 'fireland" "ireland sux" or any other emotional rant. You want to say Ireland sucks at talent evaluation then back it up with actual evidence. If he sucks sooooo bad it shouldn't be hard to provide tangible evidence as to why he sucks, instead the same old things get used every time, pre 2011 acquisitions, record during Sparano, etc. Also, since when is telling someone they're wrong an attack?
I got called a troll from the couch GM on here a while back because I didn't agree with his opinion. Funny stuff.
