No you don't. You get called trolls when the things I pointed out happen. I've seen plenty of people lay out detailed reasons for their negative takes and they don't get attacked or called trolls. Ronin is a good example of that. His take on the team & staff is not a positive one.
If you write, "LOL!" or something when something bad happens to the team then you are a troll. If you call people who don't agree with you "Idiots", "Blank lovers", or any other insulting words, then you are a troll If you start a line with, "Ireland lovers...." or "Where are all the apologists" then you are a troll If you only show up when things are going bad, then you are a troll If you only use the word, "Horrible" to describe a game where the Dolphins beat a playoff team, then you are a troll. If you think something, then someone points out how you are wrong, and you keep on writing about it for no good reason, then you are a troll. There are plenty of people on this site that are negative that are not trolls. It is actually really easy. Just don't be a dick and don't act glad when the team loses and don't insult people who think different than you.
This is not a positive only board. This is a "Don't be a dick" board. Boards turn into zoos if you allow people to just be *****.
It does, however logic will tell you being negative on a site full of people who are fans is going to be treated more harsh. Other than the trolls, we all want Miami to win.
I do too, but the fact is we've been mediocre save for 2008. That's a fact. I (along with others) are tired of the crap.
The worst thing that trolls do is to keep harping on some ridiculous thing that will never, ever happen. Like benching Tannehill for Moore. Only a 10 year old would think that there is a snowball's chance in hell of that happening. That is a troll. But they will post it over and over and over. It is allowed and even encouraged on other boards, which makes this the best board online.
The trolls? When we try to point out a possible reason, it goes south. I see it as a release/ venting of the anger that comes from crappy football.
Not true. I have NEVER posted something like that, and I have participated in some good Ireland threads. I have gotten shot down.
Sorry, but this is the perfect example of a troll response. Its an absurd statement that has no actual facts or evidence behind it. If you've been blasted for similar statements, then frankly, you were being a troll. Nothing that has happened has EVER suggested Ross is satisfied.
What gets shouted down is poor analysis of our current situation with tons of bitterness from the past.. I always know when I value or devalue a posters opinion on today's game..when they include the past into their present analysis I pretty much skip their posts, not saying that's you, just really debating what you said about the board.
And I remember when gas was a $1 a gallon, so what? Everyone fears a bad season and no one is satisfied with 8-8, the difference is some people can't put a sentence together without being critical and predicting doom and gloom. It's can get pretty annoying for those of us who like to actually root for our team to succeed.
You guys are getting over sensitive about opinions of other people. Stop trying to convince each other that your opinion is better than others just because you disagree with it and everything will be fine. It's a public message board and not everyone has to see eye to eye. You guys are behaving like Colts' fans banning everyone that says anything remotely negative about Luck.
We can't be critical if they are 7-9 for example? If that happens yet again, it means there are many holes on the team. Fans. (not trolls ) aren 't going to be happy in that case.
I don't think there are many people like that at all here yet threads like this pop up all the time. This should have been moved to the rants section probably. As for your 'so what' past experience is absolutely relevant to current perception and the reasons should be obvious. Theoretically the Cubs should have as good a chance as any team to win a World Series some time in the next ten years or so. Ask some baseball fans though if they think that's going to happen and see what they say.
I have yet to put anybody on my ignore list. I even read the stuff from posters with huge egos and they think their crap doesn't stink. Sometimes I agree with them and sometimes I don't. I give everybody a chance and no one is wrong 100% of the time. I've gotten better at not responding to certain posts just to avoid conflict. It's not worth getting upset at someone on a message board.
Point taken. 7-9 would be a huge disappointment but I don't see the point in making up hypotheticals, negative ones especially, when we are just hitting the half way point.
Basically some people want the team to prove to them their good and can win, and some people want to support the team while analyzing in the process.
This whole bloody thread has been nothing but a waste of good electrons... Shame on all of you! Somewhere starving pygmies in New Guinea are looking for electrons, and here you go wasting them!!!
They shouldn't even exist IMO. If they do want them to exist... then they should either expand active game day rosters, or every team should play their thursday game after a bye week. It's bad football on Thursdays. Too many guys are forced into action for Thursday games far before they are ready, thats if they are on the injury report or not. It's just irresponsible IMO for the league to say they want to protect players, then have them play on a Thursday, after a Sunday game.
This is what I call trolls / not normal people wanting better than 8-8 on a daily basis here relax we all do.
