With Martin's spot open, and with the current issues on the OL (Incognito injured?), what do the Dolphins do roster wise? Is calling up the practice squad kid enough at wr? A few roster issues as the team gets ready to play Tampa, who will be either defeated or ready to kick someone after losing to Seahawks today, having had a big lead.
Clabo. Srsly. And how can Dallas Thomas be so bad he hasn't whiffed the field amidst the OLine carnage? Astounding to me. Either Ireland picked a dude who is a project, or Turner ain't a great OL coach. Or both. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
I liked what I saw from Garner and Yeatman. I am guessing we will see something similar against Tampa. I am not overly fund of the way Ireland has responded to wr situation. And he may have gotten a little lucky with the OL situation. Not that I had great confidence in him anyway, but his personnel shortcomings keep biting the Dolphins.
TBH, what I've noticed about Speed Bump is he is moving out on pulls like a mad man, it is semi impressive to see a 300 pd guy pivot on his foot and haul balls behind the front and hit someone. As for who replaces who, Clabo is getting the big $$, and Richie is fine. Last two games, our rushing attack has discovered it's heart beat. As for Tin Man Martin (funny one gameday thread I mentioned he looked like the Tin Man, stiff, mechanical, but his feet wear moving quickly) This Staff is odd tbh, Thomas maybe could play fine, Garner we know what we have, but barring a veritable lightning strike they make no changes.
That's going to be the title of our NFL Films 2013 Highlight Video. They'll probably keep it for 2014 as well, barring the staff getting replaced.
I am guessing we will be reminded by those who are paid to make football decisions that we do not understand. That our call as fans is to make changes to the point of instability. Well, chances are we are at extremes and the answer is in the middle (some change, done smartly)
If you're hinting at what I presume you are, it was "some change" that landed Miami where it currently is.
I guess it is not a matter of just change, but the timing, the necessity, the goals. I have not always understood Ireland's intentions as a fan. I continue to hear other football people question what his intentions are. It would be nice to know, but he certainly isn't going to explain himself. I have never gotten that impression from him.
I don't think they have much of a choice. Clabo at RT and Garner if Cogs can't go. Egnew has been a pleasant surprise, I think he and Clay will see increased snaps with more base personnel looks and fewer 3 wide.
Pretty obvious the line will be McKinnie - Incognito - Pouncey - Jerry - Clabo with the active back-ups being Garner and Yeatman.
Clabo played better last week. Here's hoping he keeps that up. Over his career ( not this year) he's been a solid RT. I like using Yeatman on the line. Guy was a blocking TE two years ago.
