DIRECT quotes: Tom Jackson: "Incognito is a Racist, a Bigot, a low-life that should never play again." Keyshawn then echoed it. Chris Carter had a rather funny anecdote of coaches that care about their players...mentioned...Nick Saban...Bill Parcells..... Meanwhile...Chris Carter is one of the biggest *******s on EARTH. Surly to the media, fans, humans.
Screw em. The 2 idiots causing all this and the detractors who are making the "team" look bad. Im more bothered about the 51 other players who wear the jersey.
I just watched that too, and reminded myself why I don't like most of the talking heads on BSPN. The Fox News of the sports world.
I thought to myself, every one of them, including Berman, have an ax to grind with the Dolphins. So even though I am embarrassed and disheartened by this episode I still found myself feeling defensive when it was outsiders criticizing them.
btw Richie Incognito is a racist, so there is no slander. Why on Earth are you trying to defend him ? Philbin has basically said he is done as a Dolphin, and he has brought disgrace to the organization. Misplaced priorities on this one.......
So his teammates love him....so they are racists too. You root for a racist team. and they are not the Redskins.
and have you taken a poll of the team and come to this conclusion ? Using that word in a text is damning. Under no circumstances do you use it. Icognito hasn't denied ownership of that text either.
Actually Imo, they are far worse, when one tunes into a "news" channel, one expects to hear whatever political slant they have, which I'm fine with, it is a market of ideas after all. What makes BSPN more insidious is they are allegedly "the world wide leader in sports", yet they have -0- problem doing political interviews, and stories with political slants under the cover of the "World wide leader in sports". This is why when I hear "..oh BSPN is doing a spot on Tannehill.." I smirk, I used to be so naive once myself.
Unbelievable.......I really can't understand people these days. You've read the text surely, and yet you think he's being railroaded ?
Dolphins fans hate ESPN but having browsed several other team forums, some not from rival teams like the Bears, they're loving this Incognito stuff from ESPN's MNF panel and they want more. That's why ESPN does what it does, and will look for more.
Glad this team corrected the direction of the team by getting rid of all the wrong players and malcontents and non producers like BM. Any action now is forced and not proactive , how much fun will it be to be thrust in the football nations negative spotlight ... again . Of course there really hasn't been enough time to right the ship has there?
So wrong it is not even in the same ballpark. Incognito used a slur, that does not mean he is a racist, the two are very different things.
Incognito has now become another..
If you want to get technical, so has Martin. He has brought disgrace by not bringing this up any earlier.
and do you know for certain they had read the text of that message before Abramson asked them? The answer there is - you don't know, because you can't or haven't actually spoken to them. I wonder how many African-American players back him after reading that ?
You have your timelines messed up. The content of RI's messages were reported yesterday, maybe even earlier. Abramson was asking them today during media availability.
Absolutely, he is no saint in this whole episode. But the real culprit is the person who didn't do his homework, didn't check out the rumors that Martin had attempted suicide 3 times before being drafted and if he knew about it, why would you draft that person ?!?!? Well all know who is at fault here, but some just continue to bury their heads in the sand.
They are sticking their collective docks I'm his throat, telling him they witll slap his mother, and finish by calling him a rookie and they will kill him. Irony
We also know that Philbin told the players today to tote the company line - many of them I am sure value their jobs too. Off the record I really doubt they are too happy with Incognito.
Nope this is all part and parcel of the problems on this team. Strong leadership from the GM and coach and the right players in the locker room would have prevented this from happening.
Exactly, this is about the team and not just these two individuals. Neither of them are worth the heat this organization is taking at this time. Cut Incognito, and work out a settlement with Martin and get on with building a winning team in South Florida. Neither of them have played that well this year I figured that both their positions would have to be upgraded in the off season anyway.
meh incognito brings it on himself u are what your reputation is just ask T.O. etc 1st thing he does when he got accused of this whole thing was threaten one of the main espn nfl media guys on twitter lol I mean come on bro
He is going to end up being the scapegoat in this entire mess. Thanks to Martin's law dog mommy and daddy getting into his ear and telling their baby boy how he is going to handle things. If I were an NFL GM, I'd be very cautious about drafting any lawyer's kid from now on. He'd better be a super blue chip player to make it worth the risk.
I looked over my file on Jonathan Martin from draft day.....5 write ups..none of them mention any character red flags.
