I'm really starting to feel like the narrative is being pushed by anti-Philbin/Ireland people now.

A scumbag like Richie Incognito should never be in a leadership position. This entire saga shows that the Dolphins have zero vision or leadership in the franchise.

if we lose draft picks because of this whole thing, that really is the final straw for me.

Here's what I love, so to speak. Let's say two or 4 weeks ago a headline came out saying that Incognito had been asked to work with Martin in order to "toughen him up". Who would NOT have been in support of that?

Or a headline about how Pouncey/Wake had been asked to work work with Jerry on his conditioning. People would love it. But this time it didn't work out so people get to pound their chests and feel smart talking about how it was a terrible idea and Philin should've known better and Ireland should be fired.

    It's comical.

I would't be surprised. The media has its sharp claws all over this, and if there is a relentless bully, it's the media.

This entire ordeal also shows that Stephen Ross really has no business owning an NFL team. He doesn't know anything about football.

So is Marc Trestman an idiot for allowing Marshall to be a captain?
Andy Reid and Chip Kelly with Mike Vick?
Brian Billick or John Harbaugh with Ray Lewis?
    Bengals with Vontaze Burfict?

Again cmon now. We're acting like Miami isn't doing what others are or have.

The Dolphins coaches had every reason to believe Richie was changed.

But again THE MOST IMPORTANT THING is the PLAYERS voted him a leader and viewed him as such. What else arw the coaches to think?

That's the locker room managing itself.

Not sure I agree. The media and so forth are trying to make it sound like Philbin looked the other way with all this stuff b/c he had no control of the team. To me it sounds like nothing more than an NFL head coach letting his team act in a manner that's consistent with the NFL for the most part, which is not how the rest of the employment world acts. Unfortunately the law doesn't distinguish, so when a coward like Martin publicizes it, Philbin can't act any way but in accordance with the law.

    No chance.

Obama told Goodell who told Ross who told Aponte who told Ireland who told Philbin who told Sherman who told Turner who told Incognito.

The problem is that the message transformed from "praise him", as in boost his self esteem, to "haze him". Talk about a costly game of telephone

Philbin knows the answer of the question: How many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Roll Pop?

    The answer? One.

The irony is that he leaves the wrapper AND the stick on the field for rookies to pick up after practice!
