This is the defining moment for this regime. If the players all pull together and win, then Philbin still has the locker room. However, if they make stupid mistakes, seem unprepared etc. it will be the end of the Ireland/Philbin era. This game is their careers.

Personally I think they win, and this gets swept under the rug.

I hope it doesn't get swept under the rug. I don't really feel like explaining why right now, but I can if I have to...

Gunna have to agree. Some people criticized my dislike for the bucs and disagreed with my sentiment this offseason that they would go absolutely no where this season (winless.. lol). If we lose to the winless bucs it is VERY VERY much so over. Soooooo over. They are much worse off than we are..... Definitely more than just a game at this point. Prime time too. Sheesh. It saddens me that I'm really afraid of this game.

Funny, I've heard things like we band together and beat the Bucs 40-3 or something like that. Or, we fall on our face because of the distractions and lose 35-0.

When, my feeling is, in typical Dolphins fashion, we probably eke out a 19-17 win against an 0-8 team, and the game is symbolic of nothing.

    (BUT... I'll take the win!)

IMO winning is the only remedy to take the edge of this scandal .There are coaching jobs at stake and they want to show their next team that they worth taking a chance on.

Well I definitely don't think we should overlook the Buccaneers. They flew to Seattle, scored 24 points against that defense at their house. I think this game will be tougher than we think.

I honestly think we're going to stomp these mother****ers out if we can stop the run.

I know the players, specifically Wake have had it with the media bull**** and just want to play. I'd assume the media distraction is only making them angry.

The players will pull together. Its ****** me of that the hard work our players have shown can be undermined in one week. That's not going to happen imo. 51 Dolphins will be doing what they have done in 8 games inspite of 2 players, the press and opinion. If there was a time to get behind those guys its NOW.

Going to say the same thing. Don't sleep on them. They have lost 8 games but they have been very competitive in 5 and could have easily won 3-4 of those games. The NFL is a razor thin game with momentum and desire taking over. There is no doubt we could lose this game.

I do think it's a big game for the coaching staff and would be regardless of the Martin-Incognito situation. But, ultimately, I don't think this game and that situation are as related as many others do. The reality is, it all comes down to what the league finds. If the NFL finds significant negligence on the part of the coaches - there will be problems for both the coach and GM.

But, if they don't find any real negligence and chalk it up to mostly Martin being mentally troubled - then their future really comes down to wins and losses.

Don't overlook the Bucs. But give them a beatdown. Play smart and angry. All about statements.

I've been preaching for an angry mindset for this team for a long time, to bad it had to resort to this to get them there.

All of my closest friends here are bucs fans, seeing as I live in bucs territory, And Ive seen every game. The team is full of talent and is suffering from bad coaching, bad play and the general dislike the players have for the coaches. There is no reason to NOT overlook this team. Even if they lost every game by 1 point. I know any given sunday blahblah. They are still 0-8. They find ways to lose worse than we ever have. They play BAD. Im talking 150-200 yards in minor penalties bad. The talent they have on the roster is the only reason they arent getting blown out of every game. They did almost beat seattle... horse shoes and hand grenades guys. We DID beat Seattle. Mind you it wasn't this season but it was still in their house last year... and it really didn't say much about us as a team in the grand scheme of things. Like I said before im only afraid of this game because Dolphins. A game like this couldnt have come at a worse time and if we lost.. circus would be putting it lightly.. but wouldnt surprise me... because .... dolphins.... please rally and win.

This is the kind of game the Dolphins' have lost the past decade and a half. We're always the ONE, the opposite. So if they lose on Monday it's going to suck, but it won't shock me. Numb to this already.

I actually think a game like this couldn't come at a better time. We need a win in the worst way. The Bucs are 0-8 and could find ways to give it to us. They have their own dysfunction they're dealing with, and if we win, NFL pundits still have to bring the Dolphins up every time they talk about the playoffs. Plus, even though posters are correct in not taking the Bucs lightly, I think we could still not play our best game and come out with a win.

What I would hate is to have to fly up to New York/New Jersey with this tempest swirling. That, to me, would be "coming at the worst time".

It's probably too early to ask this question, but say we were to beat Tampa and get to 5-4... with all these distractions still flying around. After that, we have two home games.

What do you think would be the fan support on the next game Sunday versus San Diego (two, at this point, Wild Card contenders facing off) at Sun Life?

Thats a different perspective as well. Point taken. I just see a loss here as being typical for us

There's a judge who will have to remain nameless sitting in Tampa who still has a "go for 0" shirt from the last time the Bucs had a perfect losing record. This judge lives, breathes and bleeds the Tampa Bay anything; it normally permeates the whole courtroom. But the judge is threatening to dig the shirt out of wherever it is. The frustration and disgust with the Bucs is all over the Tampa Bay area. I really, really don't want us to be the first team on which they take out the frustration, just on general principles. That would be pretty close to bottoming out.
