Police reports are public records and you can obtain then through a public records request. Miami Dade may just have them online

Maybe a payment from the team kept her quiet.

Maybe..but if thats the case..we will never know the deal on this situation either.

It just begs the question. What is it with this franchise that it seems like their is never ending drama.

I can't wait to hear the justification for this one.

You can make records requests in Florida. It's pretty easy.

    Edit: Beaten. Thanks, schmolioot.

It just shows a. how little the Dolphins are cared about nationally, and b. how the beat writers here are pretty tame for all the crap we give them.

The thing to take from this is no matter how BS Jonathan Martin's claims really look, Richie Incognito is not a sympathetic figure in this escapade.

class, dignity, intelligence, respect, nobility, honor, all things not actually needed to play football. I love the sport but it requires none of these things. Who he is in the locker room, the weight room, and the field is all that matters.

braylon edwards gets a DUI, then starts on MNF. Vick went to jail, then became the eagles starting QB. Ray lewis kills someone, then becomes super bowl MVP.

Richie is not sympathetic at all to me. The man is not stable, and if Ireland/Philbin or other "leaders" intentionally sicced this dog onto Martin as reported, they should be fired. Richie has no sense of "the line" - were it is, when it about to be crossed, when it is appropriate. He is not deserving - at all - of any defense that he is getting here, regardless of anything done or said by Martin.

You know, Shula should have sued Czonka for putting an alligator in his shower. That's really dangerous and scary.

I know Shula laughs about it when he recounts it. But that doesn't mean he isn't experiencing trauma and that Czonka should not still be punished. Maybe reutrn his perfect season Superbowl ring.

The point is, I think it's hard to argue that Martin faced extraordinary bullying and that this organization is wildly different. I mean, TIMES have changed. We
are more litigious. More politically correct once something is public. But really, it's all of football that's the problem if these environments are unacceptable.

Football culture literally needs a drastic overhaul. Less brutality physically and emotionally.

And I'm not sure the sport survives it and remains as popular. People LIKE the brutality..

really? was with you until the overhaul business... why don't we just play flag football & impose rules to assure women of their rights to play the sport? see how many tickets you sell. the game is predicated in brutality, it is a contact, blood & guts sport. you would change this?

if that's not what you want to watch, you can follow tennis but please leave the football alone.

the only thing you can change is yourself... the sport is what it is & will remain so or dissolve unsanctimoniously, that's how people like it & that is how the game is played.

I really don't think some of you guys get it. This is not about Icognito so much as its about the Miami Dolphins organization. The NFL is coming here to find out about Incognito but they are also coming here to examine the whole darn place.

If the NFL finds that this incident was not addressed at the time and has now become public, you bet that the NFL will be asking Ireland & Philbin about it.

Boik how many more of these are we to expect ?

I pretty much agree. I think if they want to solve the ethical issue they have to castrate football. And I agree, no one wants to watch that version of the game.

I really don't want to see football die, but it seems like it is less and less in step with our societal laws and ethos so there is definitely a big collision
course coming for football culturally over the next few years imo.

hypocrisy & gossip are unbecoming & a real danger to our franchise. everyone knows how football is played & that Incognito is not a racist, simple as that...

    what is the real agenda?

I suspect it's more about getting Ireland (by his detractors) than what allegedly went down between Martin & Incognito. obviously, the media hacks are always turning out garbage to sensationalize their columns. that's what sells.
there is always a feeding frenzy with anything negative about the Miami Dolphins... no shortage or envy & dislike amongst our NFL counterparts.

Why would Ross care about what the media says about his employee? If he makes a hire or fire based on what fans or the media thinks he is not the right owner for any franchise...

unfortunately much more can be damaged than the front office, coaches & locker room. the franchise has been on thin ice for over a decade. Ross is a businessman & the owner. he can do what he wants with the franchise. :hang:it may prove to be in his best interest to sell-out or slip into the night, like Daddy Irsay & the Colts did in Baltimore. think about it as you contribute to the lynch mob mentality & negative innuendos that prevail.
this is a contrived & manipulated event that if allowed to be quietly & judicious handled by the NFL would behoove everyone in Dolfandom.

    P.S.
Ross is an excellent owner but a media hound.
he does care about the media & very much so.
he's all about business & he knows perception is a reality for most.
the fans will be the one's to suffer in the end of the day.

Incognito took the O-Line to strip clubs for meetings?

No wonder they were one of the worst O-Line's in NFL History...like they actually accomplished anything in those meetings! You have one job to do...you can go to strip clubs on your off days and offseason. And this was one of the "team leaders"...I doubt a real leader Peyton Manning does that. I'm going on the assumption these were supposed to be football related meetings, not something just during their free time.

And by the way, after this mess and some of the previous ones, it is no wonder why Peyton wanted nothing to do with Jeff Ireland & the Dolphins had to fly to his house for a courtesy meeting.

I used to investigate claims of workplace harassment for a living. Martin's claims look like the genuine article to me, they fit the pattern I have seen many times of people who have actually been harassed. We'll see in the long run how it turns out but dismissing his claims as BS right now is extremely unwise.
