Tuna wants "his" types of players, what does this mean for our beloved ZT and JT?

At least they have the football passion that BP speaks so highly about, but what about the size of ZT in the middle and JT on the egde? They clearly are not Parcell's typr player he talks about having on his team.
IMO he should consider keeping them on the roster for there leadership, passion, and they obviously have allot of football left barring any injuiries. Further more the work ethic they would show the young guys would be a great asset to have. Now I know all this would come with a huge price in terms of there salary cap numbers, and this is a decision BP should take his time with....
    Whats your opinion guy?

Parcells had the same issue with Dat Nguyen that he may have with Zach as they are of a similar build. Nguyen stuck around with Bill so maybe that has dashed his perceptions. I can't think any coach would discard JT even if he is ageing.

    Live from the Internet.
Parcells wont get rid of Zach.
He may not fit in his schmees, but he know damn right that Zach gets the job done.
    No matter what.

JT will be gone only if Parcells gets multiple draft picks for him because he is the type of player that is great for the system Parcells runs which will be run because he is going to likely hire one of his proteges. At this point I don't see Zach coming back.

Zach has the passion. JT I think has lost it or maybe never quite had it the way Zach does. I think JT just wants his title before he rides off into the sunset to bigger and better things, like an acting career for example.

Right now Zach is playing the game the way he does because of his love for it, and a Super Bowl win is a close second for him on his list of priorities. JT on the other hand wants his Super Bowl win first and has let things other than football become more of a priority for him in his life I believe.

What all that means IMO is that Zach is more likely to stay than JT, both for these reasons and because JT is much more easily tradeable for something fairly valuable.

I guess the real question BP has to ask himself aside from the fact that these 2 vets are obviously passionate, but can i get the same production from a cheaper younger player? And lets face it guys the injury bug is becoming more of a factor as they get up in age. (JT's foot, Zach's head)
If it were up to me, I'd play them till they break down but from a front office standpoint there salary wouldn't justufy keeping them if they cant finish a season regardless of there level of play, this more so reflects ZT than JT.

they were just talking about this on ESPNNews,

The belief is Zach will be kept because he's a great leader, and JT (while the type of player Tuna likes) will be shopped because he can get multiple draft picks.

That's exactly right. Parcells' "type of player" is a guy who is passionate about the game and makes plays. Both of those guys have survived several changes in systems because of their abilities. Obviously there's no promise for tomorrow; but my own opinion is that Parcells' first option would be to keep these two on the team.

What about there salary cap numbers, I think JT is like 9 mill and Zack is like 6 mill. Maybe restructuring would be an option?
But in the past when the FO approached them to restructure it was for a run at Vet talent and a promise of a SB run, now were not even sure they'll get to the playoffs anytime soon. So i'm assuming they would reject that if it was offered.

I don't know what the cap hit would be if we moved either one of them but you have to consider that before you do anything with them.....I really think that JT would be the first one to go if the cap allows it and Zach has been getting hurt often the last couple of years.....I got a Zach jersey so I hope he stays but he could be gone too.

    Ozzy rules!!
