Despite Florio's desperate attempts to keep the narrative that Cogs is the Big Bad Wolf the comment section is saying otherwise and its significant because since this started the comments have been strongly negative towards Cogs and Miami but now public opinion looks like its swinging and its no surprise, the public hates getting duped.

And it will probably sway back once word gets out what Martin's text about killing his family really was.

At this point, I almost think the right play for Ross is to cut ties with all in power and when they can, get rid of those two players as well. Rip the band-aid off

Did you even click on the link? It shows the meme and the comments are still negative towards Martin.

At the end of the day Incognito is a guy that sexually harassed a female volunteer at a team charity event. The tide isn't changing on him any time soon.

Actually no. The sentiment now is with full knowledge of how the message was conveyed.

The problem is when someone is so steadfast in their position on such a subjective issue (as both you and Florio seem to be), your contribution to the discussion is either met with skepticism or is out right disregarded.

Nah. As a rule I don't read Florio articles or click on his links That information is relatively newer and seen by a lot less people at this point. My guess as this gets out, that people will start to question Richie again.

To he honest, the best thing for me was simply watching football, and I think our fan base in general, can't have Monday Night get here soon enough. Hopefully we win so that we can start to talk about the team's performance on the field...and how much we all hate/love Daniel Thomas.

This issue is to the point of saturation.

People do actually create most memes. Just because it's a picture current mean Martin didn't text it.

i think it has. you will always have people in the media like florio that has a pre determined bias, with an already chosen angle and slant that will continue to hammer the dolphins and incognito no matter what. the likes of florio will always find a context for jonathan martin all the while there will never be any context for what incognito was saying, and he will always be the kkk card member who worships adolf hitler.

Cornwell has issues of his own...

And apparently it is ok to send someone a message in a "meme" saying anything at all as long as you don't actually type it out... lawyers...

I guess this was Martin's way of saying "Hey look! A puppy!!"

If there's one person I'd love to see standing next to a deep puddle as I go speeding by, it's Mike Florio.
If he were my neighbor I'd train my dog to sh-t on his door step.

    Dafuq Cornwell?

Apparently, there's a bunch of texts sent by Martin that are pretty lewd, so this meme may not even matter in the long haul of things.

Even assuming all that is true, the media narrative will just change from "Richie Incognito is a racist psychopath" to "the NFL's toxic culture must change -- starting with the Dolphins' locker room." And that narrative will carry the day, no matter what gets posted in internet comment sections.

That Martin's was in the form of a meme is barely relevant, if relevant at all. The profanity and mock threats were clearly part of the friendly banter between them. 1,100 texts between them in a year? Does anyone text someone they aren't friends with 1,100 times in a year? Or even 100 times? I might have texted girlfriends 1,000 times in a year (because the alternative is having to call them that much, LOL) but I don't think I have texted any male friend more than 100 times in a year.

And I think it is notable that we haven't heard the audio of the Incognito "threat" voicemail and that the transcript of it is supposedly only a partial transcript. I suspect his tone of voice and laughing makes it very clear that he was joking around. Martin clearly didn't take the "threats" seriously, as he didn't file a police report or tell the team (other than to play it in the locker room and laugh about it). I would love to have Martin on the witness stand under cross-examination . . .

No way a man texts another man who he isn't friends with over 1100 times in a year IMO.
