So if Tannehill leads him Wallace was going to make a play on the ball? It was essentially a desperation Hail Mary thrown to his "playmaking" wr that once again was waiting for the ball to land in his lap. I'm not sure if Tannehill is the answer but I am sure that Wallace doesn't give a **** and is collecting a pay check. He can't get off of this team fast enough

Disagree, to me we have the skill positions on lock down, the problem is offensive linemen who can play football well, those are found easily enough...IF the GM knows what they are doing.

Ireland doesn't, the irony of Jon Martin is not the drama, it is Ireland believed in him and he was a terrible offensive linemen.

I thought if Tannehill had not panned out it would cost Ireland his job, who knew Martin/Jerry/Clabo will be the source of his downfall

    That and alienating Veterans.

He has a sort of fetish for cap friendly young players, not guys who can come in and play Day #1

Yeah I blame Wallace as well...He's worthless...Should have just re-signed Clyde Gates to fill the role of decoy....Could have saved 65 million at least...
    Watched the whole game tonight....

2 Bright spots were Ryan Tannehill and Rishard Matthews....That is it. Everything else was pure dog crap! Oh yeah Sturgis made his field goals....Thats a good thing.

Thing is if the blame isn't on Wallace then how is it Ryan Tannehill can connect with every other receiver he has thrown to since he's gotten here? Bess, Binns, Hartline, Fasano, Clay, Hell...Keller until the injury, Matthews (stud in the making)....Something is wrong with Mike Wallace and I think it's a case of being way overrated due to his days in Pittsburgh, and the fact that he's basically a one trick pony...Guy has no balls what so ever and can't make a play over the middle to save his life. No heart, no balls, horrible pickup for us...One of the worst free agent signings I have ever witnessed.

Mine isnt. He's inconsistent right now, but so is our OL, and our coaching/playcalling. It's tough for him to succeed in that situation.

I'd clean house though, let the new GM/Coach decide. If the GM decides to keep Philbin, so be it... I think players are going to not want to come play here though if Philbin is back, considering all this happened on his watch.

It's a lack of leadership. You know what they do when they have a long break. wack off. No dedication and it shows. Stupid undiciplined PF, Fielding the ball on the 5 yard line and getting a hand slap congrat from a team mate, 2 rushing yards, unable to stop rookie RB's and Rookie QB's. It's a poorly coached unprepared team that's all.

    Unless Jeffireland is still here....

Then it will be a defensive lineman.

But we also need some serious help at Lb. They cannot tackle for crap

Why do we put Thigpen back there? He's ****ing awful, absolutely ****ing awful. I'd rather we just let punts go and have someone that just downs kickoffs than having him back there. How do we still play him?

Wallace isn't trying, I don't care what he makes, I'd bench him if I was head coach. The tackling on defense was terrible too.

2 ****ing yards rushing?? I could run for 2 ****ing yards and I stand by that statement, I could literally run for 2 yards in the NFL, this is disgusting. Tampa is terrible and they tried to handed us this game and we didn't want it.

CLEAN HOUSE, this team is unwatchable.

yup, as bad or questionable as Martin & Incognito have been at times, their backups obviously have got to be worse. Clearly it made a difference in the ground game.

How do we send a message to Ross? Who continues to support Ireland? I am torn about Philbin. I haven't felt this bad about this organization in a long time. And I have supported this team for 40 plus years.

and he wasted assets while doing it. Could have signed him preseason didn't, and eventually had to trade for him, and lose a draft pick, which IS and asset we don't have now in case we need it to move up by bundling it with a higher pick.

The whole team has been mismanaged and it rests at the feet of Ireland. You cannot escape that.

This can't be fixed in one season but I say o line first. Then see how the running and QB play is with a repaired o line. If it is a huge improvement, go from there. If not, start looking at QB etc. Factor in the coaches - perhaps get rid of offensive coach and see how a new one with a new o line works.

It's the offense IMO. The combination of the quick hit offense were supposed to be, combined with the ****ty OL that never gives the QB time to actually go downfield. He checked out a long time ago. He signed for the big cash, then he got the gameplans and playbook and went... uh... what? This isnt me... **** it, im out. Im getting paid, its all good.

THill is fine, thought he played a good gm tbh.

The offensive line is a disaster, Garner and McKinnie did alright, can't win w/2 yds rushing and an offcord who runs plays not suited for his players.

If you gave Tannehill Brady level time in the pocket we would have scored 40 points. With no running game.

Yep, it is as if the whole season has been "catchup", which is typical Ireland.

"OMG..it's not working, so let's just add the guys I've rejected..."

3 yrs of this is about enough, to many losses then "we need to change things.."

    Where is the urgency.

Philbin has had this train wrech for 5 preseason games and 9 regular season games and has been able to find no answers. He has presided over a franchise that has become not only a laughing stock but an object of contempt. He is a monumental failure on the scale of a Cam Cameron. It will take a decade or more to recover from this, because no one will want to come to play or coach here. We all need to understand the scale of this disaster.
