This season is a bust, even if we make the playoffs we aren't going no where.. So I ask what do we want.. Obviously fire Ireland... Then what? New linebackers, new o line, I don't think joe survives.. Do you want to clean house and start over and another few years of 6-10.. Do you want to stick with what we got and build around it... Tann has shown he can be effective when giving the time... We need a running back that can find holes, miller is nothing more than a change of pace back.. If we clean house we will not be good for a few years, if we keep joe and staff they will eventually find some plays and players that make plays... Is a new gm really gonna turn this team around? Are new coaches gonna be better than what we got? Do we draft o line? Do we sign Starks? A lotta questions and a lotta opinions.. But what are the right answers? Forget the draft a qb replies cuz after all is said and done tann is better than anyone we could draft at 10-20... Tann can be great, Wallace can streach the field assuming we try, Mathews showed promise, gibby will be back, Keller? What do we do...

I say we bring in a new system, defensive minded, hire an offensive guru to help, championships are built on defense and tonight we showed how bad we are over paying our d line... A good gm will recognize that and hopefully draft as such... It's time we give up on buying a mlb and draft one in the first round... They make all the difference... Starks or solei or both has to go.. Draft one first round.. Secondary isn't terrible but push is the problem, draft a de first round... Three years three very well scouted defensive draft picks and fill in the holes with free agents and sleeper picks and by then tann will be a good qb, the system will be implemented and players will have bought in to it.. After three years start drafting wr's rb's and te's first round, reach a bit for a skill position player, maybe a free agent, but one that fits the system and is unselfish.. Team first..

if we keep joe and staff we will never be able to stop anybody, and scoring 1000 points only gets you so far...

To think that our season is practically over during the first half of November is almost unbearable.

The best thing we could hope for is a winning record these last 7 games and a wholesale cleaning.

No more Ireland. No more Philbin (he showed tonight with 11 days to prepare that he can't be an 0-8 team). Keep building around Tannehill and get a coaching staff that can see his talents and utilize them. Spend every resource you can in the draft to revamp the Oline. If someone is willing to take Wallace, send him packing. He's terrible and will eventually flip out. Teach Ellerbe and Wheeler how to tackle. Surround Ross with people who know the Dolphins. Never let Brandon Fields go.

we need 4 new starters on the oline next season. idk how you do it. but you have to.

Unless we see some drastic changes, Ireland and Philbin are gone. Ireland for many reasons. Philbin because he's flat out refusing to try something different. He might be the most stubborn coach ive ever seen. Rookies don't play, you let your OC make stupid calls every week, Oline doesn't experiment at all, have we even tried a trick play on offense under him? Just no inventiveness or creativity. This game is about fooling the other team and we stick to a script every week.

Let Soliai AND starks walk. Opens up money for others. Have to keep grimes. Getting Brandon Albert should be our #1 goal this offseason. then draft pretty much nothing but olineman.

With philbin gone, sherman and coyle will be gone too. Others have said, if we just had coordinators who used their personnel better, we'd see better results.

When I say the season is over I mean there's no way we are winning the sb.. Idk what you think is a good season but anything short of a sb is a complete failure.. That being said I did not expect to win it this year but I expected to be a high powered offense that scores a ton of points and challenge ne for the division.. Now I'm all for keeping joe and trying to work this system but my plan above seems more solid..

The problem is, if you let Starks and Big Paul walk you'll need to find two starting quality defensive tackles. I'd let Starks walk, sign Paul, find a starting quality tackle somewhere.

We may need 5 starting lineman, depending on Pouncey's legal issues.

Odricks looked just as good as starks most of the season. You really just need to replace soliai, who absolutely disappeared tonight. Idk if we can find someone better but we can find someone of equal talent and pay a lot less for him as of right now.

I still think our first round pick should be a well scouted mlb...

Does anyone think drafting an OL in the first round in 2013 would have made any difference thus far?
Cause if were thinking of going OL in round 1 in 2014, that's a serious question that needs answering.

there will be a day when we're thrilled Dion Jordan is a miami dolphin, I have no doubt of that.

    I just assumed he'd be playing a lot more...looking at you Coyle/Philbin...

If it were that easy, then 50 points in the NFL would be the norm. You can't just put out a poster saying, "Offensive guru wanted!"

Besides, how many of our four wins came from this defense? How many of our five losses came down to the final moments because of our defense? You don't take a front seven who have played way above average all season long and decide to fire them all after one poor performance. Especially in light of what's transpired over the last ten days...

Joe is an offensive minded coach, remember that, then think why would Ireland draft a de after trying to build around philbins strengths.. Complete failure...

He showed me tonight that he couldn't get his team ready to play with all the distractions going around. Not making an excuse, because as a head coach, you have to be able to tune out the distractions and focus on the task at hand.

Hard to say at this point.
As far as the 2013 draft I look at what we could have gotten instead of dion jordan and I don't know if anything sticks out.
I mean is lane johnson even doing well? I have no idea he's a o lineman

Hope for new system, new qb, new playmakers, new GM with established record (Coughlin). I'm hoping we can trade Tannehill for Tyrod Taylor and him play the rest of the year I'm hoping for a lot.

Joeckel and Fisher, yes, draft them at #3. Lane Johnson was not worth that high of a pick tho IMO. Dion Jordan was a good pick.

You have to think they got rid of long cuz they felt Martin could step up... They draft a de after trading away a pick and he is usually Mia... Of course Ireland didn't draft a tackle first cuz that would be admitting that he was wrong about long..

According to PFF, he's got the 2nd to worst ranking of the 32 first rounders.
    https://www.profootballfocus.com/blog/2013/10/29/first-rounders-in-focus-week-8/

also, just going off those grades, Jordan is the #3 ranked first rounder...wtf philbin/coyle...wtf PLAY HIM!

Shoulda drafted Ansah if he was so bent on DE. That was a no brainer. Otherwise, Tavon would've been nice.

A defensive player taken #3 overall is not a work in progress.. He starts day one, an plays every snap...

Pugh was a reach where the gmen took him as it was. Granted, hes playing well, but that would have been a pretty awful pick at the time. Using hindsight to prove your point with drafting is useless cause it just leads to "why didn't we draft Brady?" Banks is doing alright but again, we've seen pretty much nothing of Jamar Taylor. I couldn't tell you if hes any good or not and neither can you.

well he DID have surgery in the offseason.

But nevermind that, he should be playing every snap at this point. THAT falls on the coaching. Its not him, because hes flashing. doesn't make any sense.
