Actually looking at the season so far I think you can say that all games were pretty close and it came down to small things when we lost, taking out the Saints game of the equasion. So what actually do we need to change for next season, I break down my point of view even though it might be early but this season is nearly lost for me:

QB: Tannehill is improving in my point of view, he should stay at the helm next season, but try to trade Moore for something and draft a competition(QB classis qute good), gives more cap room as well

WR: no matter how disappointing Wallace is so far, he will stay considering his contract, Gibson was a great signing, Hartline has good chemistry and Matthews looks like a good 7 round pick and great depth, therefore I would say dont change a lot , maybe invest another late pick on a high upside guy

TE: actually Unit is ok, Clay is more consistent than before still needs to improve and cut down drops but I believe he can do that, Egnew improved and should stay, Sims too. Keller would have been great but I am against trying to resign him because he is too injury prone. I would sign a TE in free agency with experience and let the others develop, maybe a Dallas Clark type. Or pry away one of the Ravens FA TE in Pitta or Dickson( both would be ok even though Pitta is better but will cost more)

RB: I think Lamar Miller can be a good running back behind a quality offensive line and was a good pick considering where he was taken but needs a good compliment running back to share the load, Thomas is a total bust and should be let go, give Gillislee a chance to prove himself maybe still this season( even though he probably wont do alot with this O-Line), than draft a Guy late as compliment to Martin, a hard/tough runner or sign such a guy cheap

O-Line: Ok, here is the big issue on Offense in total for me, it isnt sexy but we need to replace 4 starters here, Incognito and Martin wont see the field again for the Dolphins,Clabo sucks as well, Jerry sucks for the scheme, so if the coaches arent replaced he needs to be let go too.

Pouncey hopefully can stay(legally speaking), so I would sign a quality LT either Albert or Veldheer and one Guard(maybe someone like Matt Slauson? he played with toughness and passion last times i watched the Bears) and draft two there in the first two rounds: One tackle for the right side and one Guard maybe the Alabama Tackle Koundijo(is wrong spelled I fear) or James Hurst, Guard preferably Gabe Jackson

keep Garner and Yeatmann as backups, actually i am not sure about McKinnie, he plays quite good with a banged up knee, so I probably would keep him if he would sign for 2 years cheap as a backup :)

    Defense:

DE: make Jordan the starter opposite Wake after a hopefully healthy offseason for him, keep Vernon as backup and draft a guy late

DL: Odrick stays, keep one of Starks or Soliai, take a flyer on a high upside guy in free agency cheap and draft someone in a early/middle round

LB: hm probably keep Ellerbe, Wheeler and Misi as a lot of money is invested in them but coach them up and give them real competition, draft a guy in the middle rounds and give Jenkins a shot, maybe sign someone as well cheap and allow competition, if competition is better than bench the high prized guys

CB: tag Grimes or try to resign him, let Carroll go, I actually would keep Patterson and pray he stays healthy, let Taylor and Davis learn and play late this season look what you have in them, get another guy in a middle round/late round

S: you are stuck with Jones now, Clemons is actually quite good so far in my Opinion, so resign him as well for 2-3 years, draft a guy as competition and sign someone

    Special Teams:

Kicker: keep Sturgis, I think he is not to bad
    Punter: keep Fields
    LS: keep Denney

Return Guy: get Thigpen competition somehow

    Draft Outlook by positions:

    Round 1: OT
    Round 2: OG/DT either or
Round 3: OG/DT draft what you have not addresse in Round 2
    Round 4: LB or CB
Round 5: CB/LB what you havened addressed in Round 4
Round 6: WR/RB someone who can contribute as a return guy
Roudn 7: probably lost in the McKinnie trade

    Sign:

    a LT
    a OG
    a experienced TE
    a big RB

    resign:

    Clemons
    Starks/Soliai
    Grimes

ok Guys, what do you think, please do not flame, I know season isnt over yet, just my two cents and would like to know your feedback :)

    In a word?

The culture of this team needs changed. They expect to lose, and they coach that way.

    It starts at the top.

I'd take a speedy WR in the draft that we can develop.

Are the taxpayers in LA willing to build them a new stadium to relocate? Because that is what is will take to entice the Dolphins or any other NFL team to relocate to LA. As far as I've read, the taxpayers out there have no interest in building this new stadium. Perhaps you know something the rest of us don't in regards to a new stadium being build to bring an NFL team back to LA.

I'm not sure I agree that the tight end position is settled or ok. Yeah it's fine, but I'd really like to see a big, quick TE added to the mix. My dream TE is Jace Amaro, but I'm having a hard time believing he slips out of the first round or maybe high second at best. I haven't gotten into the depth of the TE class. but if you can add someone like a Jace Amaro or a Travis Kelce that have good hands and can run the seams, you'd be doing Tannehill a huge service.

Yea, Tannehill was 0-6 in passes over 15 yards last night. The offense felt a little boxed in, and it doesn't help that so many of the routes are ones that turn back towards the QB.

This offense needs some YAC in the worst way. Rishard flashed on that TD. But we need to put Wallace in YAC position a lot more, imo (or he just sucks and has to do it himself). And Miller needs to get better separation from LBs if he's going to go down on their first touch. You'd think his size/speed would be a mismatch in space in the passing game, but it just hasn't quite happened yet.

It always looks like Tannehill is working so damn hard to move this offense because (a) his OLine is awful and (b) he has to generate a huge percentage of his passing yards through the air because the scheme is tight and the playmakers are just not doing much with the ball in their hands.

    Mostly everything need to change.

Back when the Dolphins last won a playoff game when I was in middle school & Bill Clinton was President and the Twin Towers dominated the NY Skyline, I never thought I might have to wait until I hit my 30's to see them win another one. Which is sadly actually a possibility. Yet the f----ng Arizona Cardinals, a team with more losses than any other NFL franchise, have been to a Super Bowl...and the former 'Aints (whose fans invented the paper bag that's become a bit of a staple in Miami this decade) have won one, and with a guy leading them that the Dolphins passed on (TWICE!).

I remember in 2004-2007 thinking, "Oh, well they're going through their rough patch now. I'm sure I'll see them be a Super Bowl contender in a couple of years....Maybe a couple decades or so is more like it.
