Wheeler fined 21K for that "roughing" the passer penalty on Monday night. The league must have some special kind of hate towards the Dolphins, and/or must be some kind of messed up when a head butt to a helmet-less player gets no fine (so far as I know), but a love tap to the QB cost you 21K. I understand you call that in the game, but was that play despicable and dangerous enough to warrant a 21K fine? Really?
Tannehill must have drawn million upon millions of fines on defenders then, right? Right? NFL doesn't hate the Dolphins, right? Right?
Wheeler's got plenty of cheddar to spare. What is Miami paying him again? He's committing highway robbery; might as well have to pay the toll.
Hold your horses. Fine and suspension likely for Walden http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap20...ik-walden-could-face-suspension-for-head-butt Unless you're talking about the one to Rishard Matthews. I missed that one. If so, Dolphins (or Wheeler) should send the NFL the tape.
Yeah I was speaking about the one to Matthews. I have not seen anything about a fine or suspension on that.
you know I am getting fed up with the favoritism that the nfl has . I think the dolphins should find a way to piss off the networks and the nfl so maybe Ross will get pissed off and sell the team to a owner who will man up to the anti dolphin public .
It's bull****. Our guy was defenseless in every sense of the word. Not even wearing a helmet! This league is a joke. Meanwhile, our QB is a human crash test dummy for late hits. And nothing on that end either; but it's been over 10 games with that going on so what are ya gonna do at this point? Just pray he survives the year.
That one was done by Goldson, and as thin of ice as he is on with the league, getting no fine would be surprising.
I think getting a fine for roughing the spasser penalties is pretty much automatic these days. Guys are just going to have to learn to not hit the Qb, and they have to be especially careful late in the game. That penalty was really big at that point in the game. The refs are going to call those hits its just the way it is, we can argue about whether we like it or agree with it or not but its what the league is doing now so players have to adjust.
And did I read Pouncey was only fined 7k? If true, that's egregious cause Pouncey's penalty was much more blatant.
Not in today's game, that gets flagged all the time. I agree that the leagues needs to take the head shots out of the game, but the league has gone overboard.
I agree with you there, stupid on his part. He could have stepped to the side, he didn't need to do that.
Goldson finally suspended for helmet hit. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap2000000284209/article/dashon-goldson-suspended-for-one-game-by-nfl But for a hit on Roddy White.
