Am I missing something or are the Bengals 7-4 and almost came back to beat us? To call Dalton terrible based on his play so far...Tannehill by the same scale is even worse? And I think anyone could tell where my interests lay...Ronin lives in Cinci yet is a fin...I don't know his history but I smell draft day hatred + jaded fan convert.
Get real dude! I am not saying Dalton is amazing or even top 10! I don't even care for the guy. But you guys coming out saying he sucks and is terrible, based on his stats and production, his team record....is just nonsense.
Listen I respect the knowledge of a lot of people on here. Please tell me what I am missing on Ellerbe. He just seems to always have a lineman on him and never near the line of scrimmage when making a tackle. What did he do today that was impressive?
I've been saying it since early this season. For all the crap Wheeler takes...he's playing better then Ellerbe has. Ellerbe should be taking much more wrath especially on a team that has a consistent history of good MLB's. Shouldn't be putting up with crap.
Thank You. I keep on thinking that I missing something when I see him play. Just think he is miscast in this defense. He is super slow to react and even slower shedding blocks. I really want to like this guy but after each game I really have not seen much to like. Please don't give me tackle numbers because they are so overrated . Tackling someone 7 yards down the field is the safeties job... Not your middle linebackers
Dalton is garbage. Eight int's the last three weeks. Tannehill is better. Sent from my Galaxy S3 using Tapatalk
I'm not getting into an argument over the Bengals QB, but he isn't garbage. Someone posted his career numbers already. Look at them. That isn't garbage. He's a middle of the pack QB.
I would love to see tape of every deep ball. Several times that he has missed it seemed like there was someone in his face, that he couldn't step up. I know that's shocking since Jerry is blocking in front of him. I also think w/ a little more effort at least a couple of those could have been completed which would really have a positive impact on his numbers. Yeah, part of it went right through here North of Columbus. Sirens and the whole bit. No idea what if any damage. Guess we'll find out tomorrow.
Agreed there, Tannehill just didn't put enough on it. He's super accurate up to like 25 yds it seems. Hartline i've always rooted for, but honestly i'm getting sick of some of his flaws. Drops, the balance of a one legged donkey. I'm thinking Gibson and Mathews might be a better combo after a good #1 reciever.
Exactly, the problem starts with the protection. Wallace isn't Calvin Johnson he isn't going to out jump anyone, although he should try. I live in hilliard and the winds were zipping.
Come on man...I just got done getting my pitchforks out of the shed...Now you say calm down?!?!?! ANDY DALTON IS SERIOUS BUSINESS
Look at his games. I mean actually sit down a watch a few. You'll change your mind. He's bad. Sent from my Galaxy S3 using Tapatalk
To put things into perspective regarding Tannehill....he's 5.5 QB rating points behind Luck, he's a higher rated passer than Luck by PFF standards and he has big wins against Seattle, Indy, Atlanta (before they lost all their players), Cincy and now San Diego. Does he have things to work on? Yes. But if we knew he'd stack up statistically that close to Luck (especially with our historic o-line issues) on draft day 2012, I think we'd have been satisfied with that.
See, I don't know about that...some overzealous Dalton detractors here sure made it seem like I was a moron for thinking a decent QB is decent so...yeah...oh and Hi Pariah, didn't notice you there... You really think this is because of my love for Dalton..or..maybe my appreciation for common sense?
No one said you were a moron, they just don't understand that they're wrong about Dalton. Look around, there are a bunch of anti-Tannehill people here. OUR quarterback. Take that venomous knife of yours and go stab those people in the *****. Metaphorically speaking, of course.
First of all what exactly is draft day hatred? I'm not a convert. I've interned for the Bengals and have worked for the only Hall of Fame Player in their organization's history. I'm probably privy to information about that franchise that 95% of Bengals fans don't know. By no means would I ever want to be a fan of that franchise. From the way it's run from Mike Brown on down to the equipment staff, it's horrid. Some of the things Mike Brown has done and is continuing to do are flat out contemptible in the football world. As far as Andy Dalton goes, clearly you've not seen him play very often if you're simply going to toss his volume stats and the team's record out there. Watch some games of him against good teams. Go back and look at the teams the Bengals have beaten whilst he's been under center. The list of good ones is not very long. Take away A.J. Green from that roster and Dalton is riding pine. There's a reason that 90% of what you hear and read around town as it relates to the Bengals is whether they should, or shouldn't, draft a quarterback next year. And for the record, it's Cincy if you want to abbreviate it, or Cinti if you're mailing Andy Dalton a letter. There is no "Cinci".
Gee, that's encouraging. Well I guess i'm here for the rest of the 2013 season, guess I should keep tight lipped on Dalton in the meantime. And you know what sucks? I have a huge Andy Dalton shrine in my basement and an 8x6 of him I keep folded in my wallet, and now you are telling me I can't defend my all-time favorite player...it's just disappointing. Btw...Dalton > Marino, Elway, Young AND Chad Henne.
Biggest problem with Dalton is he can't get the quick out pattern out to the receiver. This is a staple of their offence which is turning into interceptions.
I think it's just bigotry against gingers that's going on here. I'm ashamed of you all. I thought this behavior left with Richie.
