This is classic.. I'm not going to jump on the "Mike Wallace is a bust" train just yet because we can all recall BMarsh not playing very well his first year with us as well. The fact that when he does get the ball thrown to him it's as if his hands are made of concrete, is not helping the cause.

Anyways, I just though this was a little funny and worth showing.

Can tannehill overthrow him? Serious question.

I know he has a strong arm, but...

I feel like yesterdays game had to have made Tannehill realize that he needs to just really lead the sh** out this guy in order to not under throw him. I feel like the under throwing will be brought up as a concern this week when looking at film and is something Tanny will be able to correct moving forward.

The problem is his throws are late. Not leading in any sense of the word.

I believe Tannys first deep pass attempt to Wallace was over thrown, and he had a step or two on the CB.

I think a problem is, it happens once a game.

The biggest crime isn't Mike Wallace is being mis-used, it's that he hasn't lost more time to Brandon Gibson and Rishard Matthews, because he's been godawful this year.

It's not just arm strength. It's recognition and release too.

I really think all Wallace needs is one big game and everything will shape up for us. He just hasn't had that game yet.

Because he doesn't throw with anticipation. And that's something you can't survive on the NFL without.

This is inaccurate. The problem most times is elongated play design. I tend to think that you cannot pass deep to Wallace out of play-action due to his speed. He is simply too far downfield by the time you are ready to throw. I still think the best way to use his deep speed is recognize a one on one matchup, check out of the call, three step drop and throw it downfield...exactly what they did on the Cincy PI call.

As well, when you only use him outside and throw to the wide side of the field you almost ensure that the pass has to be perfect for there to be a completion. Personally, I think he is being misused in this offence.

Maybe you two don't know what anticipation is. Show me where I'm wrong. Show me where he throws come backs, curls and out routes before the break. He doesn't. He does not anticipate the opening right now. It could be something that comes later on, but he doesn't right now. Which is why he's not a great thrower in the middle of the field.

If he throws it a second sooner to the exact spot, he's leading the receiver to a TD bomb. The timing (and often accuracy) on the deep ball is not there at the moment IMO.

Has Pennington worked with him in the past year?

    Penny's skill + Tanny's athleticism = **** in my pants.

I can't give you exact plays, but I have seen him throw the ball before a wide receiver makes his break on many occasions. Specifically the comebacks and out routes.

As Maynard aptly puts it, at this point in time we're just not sure Tannehill can get balls deep.

Tannehill needs to stop aiming and trying to drop it in, and just let it rip!

I don't blame Tannehill. Hell I would look for Clay, Matthews and Hartline before Wallace.
Everyone needs to remember Giibson was our best weapon on offense before his injury.
Wallace is just flat to me. He doesn't want to scrap out yardage.
Sure the deep ball is frustrating when it doesn't connect.
His job description should be more than that. Or is it?

its hard to feel confident in the pocket and wait for the big play when you have the worst Oline in the NFL... just saying.

off the top of my head the 1st TD throw to Mathews in the TB game showed wonderful anticipation of him throwing him open behind the zone
