Through ten games, look at how similar the stats are this season. Tannehill actually has an edge in completion percentage and yards per pass. Brady only has a 2.1 point edge in rating. I'm not saying that Ryan is becoming a HOFer, but it does look like Tom is coming down to Earth.

(edit, sorry it didnt grab the stat headers like I thought it would. They each have 14 TDs. Bradys thrown fewer picks).

Look at the team records and who is most likely to lead his team from behind to win the game.

Take away a few completely blown blocks by the right side of the OL, and the Fins are tied for first place. And thats not even considering the officiating in the New England game.

In fact, he's been pretty bad at times. Yet he's playing better then Ryan and his team is in first.

Some reason this thread reminds me of the Culpepper vs Brady thread we had years ago.

I think its absurd to make excuses for a first ballot HoF QB when his numbers are pretty similar to a QB with 25 career starts.

You can't compare Tanny to Culpepper either. Tanny has clearly survived more sack/pressures than Culpepper.

They are this year's numbers. I'll judge at the end of the year. Brady has played poorly yes. But take away ALL OF his weapons that kind of happens. When Amendola went out, and no Gronk, they were terrible and still are. A little more competitive now.

Last two games he has QBR of 150 and 91. Again, I'll wait until the end of the year.

It pains me to say this... but I think if you put Brady into our offense with our WR's, and Ryan into the Pat's offense with that group of WR's... I think you'd see a drastic change in those numbers... and not in Ryan's favor.

While Brady hasn't been as sharp as usual, he's struggled, no doubt, but that supporting cast hasnt been good all year.

Nothing against Ryan... i think he's done a fine job with the mess he's been in.

This is going to mess up comparisons of modern day qb's to older qb's forever. Not only the rules for DB's, but the fact that when you played QB back then you took real hits, stuff that today would result in a flag.

I disagree with you here. Not saying Tannehill is better than Brady by any means, but I think Tannehill would do better in New England than he would do here. And Brady would do worse here than he would in New England. Pats went 11-5 without Brady in 2008. I think a lot of Brady's success is the complete team and organization he has around him that makes him look a lot better than he actually may be. Yea he's cool under pressure, but he also cries a lot when things don't go his way.

That i think Brady has been sacked more this year already then last year total. Brady has never really been consistent when he is actually getting hit ~

When Peyton Manning had that horrible stretch a few years back throwing 3-4 picks a game people thought he was done.

Brady will be done when his arm truly turns into a noodle. He's never had a strong arm to begin with.

What I think this shows more than anything is this is a team game. Brady's numbers would look even worse without that Pitt game. Both have had trouble with guys being healthy or playing up to the level they need them. I think this also shows that Tannehill is better than others give him credit. He is not a HOF player but he has shown alot this year already by not getting shaken with all the hits. Brady has shown that the hits hurt and will duck them later. Lets see how the year plays out. Brady may have another game coming up against Denver.

This is true. He does look like the same player. Much of his drop has to do with performance under pressure. Which begs the question...what would Tannehill's numbers look like if he wasn't playing behind a historically bad line (SD game excluded)?

You dolphin fans are hilarious. Tannehill couldn't sniff Brady's jock strap.

Because the last ten years and last seven losses to the patriots haven't proved to you that Brady doesn't need a strong arm.
