well, I am probably the worst guy to ask that of. Collectively? Yes, our fanbase probably did post Buffalo game want him gone. Me? I think Ron Rivera has always been a GREAT X and O guy and he is a players coach. He was always so vocal about growing and learning applied to him....that I always bought it. Ron Rivera has coached now 36 games....and lead in the 2nd half of almost all of them. I think we are seeing his growth....b/c he use to simply apply the "textbook" call in every key scenario. He also had holes in 2011/2012 that made "textbook" calls actually big gambles. That lead to lots of losses late in games. You can see the clear growth with him.
There can be only ONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE KRACKENNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!
It's about the release, the celebration.. Byron bell, Carolina's right tackle, gave up 4 and a half sacks against buffalo.. Flush and finish this dude.
He's now out definitely. Might give our OT's a bit of a breather. http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/10018019/charles-johnson-carolina-panthers-vs-miami-dolphins
did you know Hardy was called the Kraken before this week? I didn't know Wake was.... that sums it up I think, NFC/AFC teams that play each other every 4 years or so... that said, most sacks in a head to head game should keep title
Indeed it is, but it's not as good as it was with CJ in it...I'll take any positive for us pre-game. Your Panther's DL was very scary before, now it's just scary.
I know that hardy has referred to himself to the beast before this week, the real Kracken got his name three years ago when we the fans appointed it to him after the movie came out alongside his sack celebration.. If you study the celebration you will then understand, if you look up all numbers pertaining to pressuring the Qb over the past four years, you should concede..
Heyyy DJ... Check this out.... http://www.carolinahuddle.com/boards/topic/94165-cameron-wake-is-the-only-kraken-says-miami-fans/
I know, should have said front 7 instead of D line. Tbh, I think it's a huge miss for the Panthers with Johnson being out, just like it was for us with The Kraken being out.
Mu guess....you see a little more of calculated blitzing. Davis our LB and Mitchell our S our probably the best blitzers. We don't rely on them much but they probably have half dozen between them. Considering how many sacks you have given up and the fact we are down a man....I think we bring an little extra to make sure we get home.
Those two rookie DTs are the reason our line has made a leap this year. Star is either going to win or finish second to Alonso for DROY.
I will always call Wake, "The Kraken" Plus anyone who gives themselves a nickname is kind of sad. That is how you get DRAIDS.
You are going to be starting a backup C likely with a host of other backups.. Star has been one of the best DTs in the NFL against the run. Our other rookie isn't a starter....he gets situations reps. We have 4 DTs we rotate in. Hardy also is is our most disruptive lineman.
I really doubt your offense is preparing for our defense with that same mentality. I hope they are, though.
Not saying our line is good....but, Tannehill has been sacked 9 times in last three games. Cam Newton 7. So...its not like theres this huge difference.
Look...Miami has given up a league high 41 sacks. I think it is fair to note such. I think you cherry picking 3 games and claiming you only had 2 more sacks therefore we can just call the whole thing a push.....is a poor response. you are about to face one of the best overall defenses in the league....and are mixing in all sorts of backups on your line. I think the matchup favors us there even down Johnson pretty clearly
How is picking the last three games cherry picking? I know as a fan for any team I would rather look at the last three games than the season overall. It is how you can see trends.
Because our line has improved. If you want to ignore that fact...be my guest. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
The Dolphins actually pressure the Qb better then one other team in the league. The Panthers are actually middle of the pack. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
Is it me or are Panther fans talking a lot of trash about this game? I live just outside of Charlotte, NC and I swear every Panther fan is mentioning "Panthers" and "Superbowl" in the same sentence. Even on their little forum nobody has any respect for Miami. This game will be good, a game that Miami can win. We may be 5-5 and holding on for dear life for a playoff spot, but we could very easily be sitting 9-1.
Yep..but not all of them. There have been some really good posts by Panther's fans the last few days. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
Nose tackles don't get a lot of sacks. Pouncey being out is going to hurt the running game more than the passing game.
At the beginning of the Season they were playing with a HUGELY terrible Clabo and a pretty terrible Martin. Now they are playing with a just bad Clabo and a decent McKinnie. While I am not saying they are a good pass blocking team, they are better than the beginning of the season.
