First, you guys have a really good team and had a great game plan today. Your defense is no joke and you were a 4th and 10 stop away from winning this game. Tannehill has a cannon for an arm, he is going to be a very good QB! I came away impressed by the Dolphins and feeling bad for the fans enduring the type of loss Panthers fans are all to familiar with. The absence of Charles Johnson definitely affected this game, I'm not sure Wallace has time to get deep twice if he was on the field. Our defense still played great football though and holding the Dolphins out of the end zone after the 2nd qtr turnover was also critical to the win. I felt like the Panthers played their best football on offense and defense when it mattered most. Regarding the refs, this was a fairly poor officiating effort. I would have wanted a flag for Luke's hit in the end zone if the roles were reversed. Neither Wallace's first catch or the challenged catch were catches by NFL's rules of possession all the way to the ground. There were fairly important holding "no calls" on both sides, but hey you can call holding every play right? Finally, the personal foul on Newton on the final drive was iffy, but in the ref's defense they called what it looked like. Hopefully one day the NFL will allow challenges on penalty calls. With that said the Dolphins had plenty of chances to hold on that final drive, don't blame the refs. It was a great game, and the Dolphins could have easily won, you could make a case that they should have won. Thanks for having me on the forum. Over and out.
Well VD took three steps against us, then dropped it and after review it was ruled incomplete and not a fumble so I think Ron was just riverboating hard there.
Great game? Bah! Great from the perspective of the winning fan base. I never have and never will say good game or great game for Miami after a loss.
