That's true. Brady > that Peyton in cold weather / big games. But then again, Brady also plays in a better system with better coaching. Not to knock John Fox, who is also a decent coach. I just have a harder time picturing Brady being more successful plugged into this Dolphins team than Peyton Manning. I could be wrong, just an uneducated gut feeling.

Only problem Larry is that all roads lead back to Ireland. Mediocre coaches or coaching --> Ireland. Mediocre players or talent --> Ireland. Ireland certainly isn't the only problem but he is definitely not the solution.

And there's the game that gives us hope. Will they crush it again when they face Pittsburgh, as this team has done so often this season and in seasons past? I hope not.

Well, I could type all this over again or just bump this. This team was the definition of mediocre this year for all the reasons I outlined above. After the patriots game some of you insisted the team had turned a corner. I hoped so badly you were right but feared you were wrong. The last 2 weeks have confirmed those fears. Hoping for the continued employment of Jeff Ireland is to support continuance of mediocrity. As far as the coaches I have no idea. See number 4. I can only hope Ireland is fired and a competent GM makes the right decision. I take no joy in being "right" about this team being mediocre. I wanted playoffs so badly I would tolerate Ireland for another year. I'm severely depressed. This team suckered me in and gave me hope again. (See 3). The only way to bring some hope to this offseason would be to see headlines detailing the firing of one Jeff Ireland very soon.

Happy New Year guys, pour some beer on it and try to feel better.

I generally agree with this and did when they were posted.

The one thing I would say about Tannehill is he's better than he looked today and he had a raw deal this year with the offensive line fiasco and the coaching staff is not that great.

I just can't buy into a college-level QB coach. Don't think that has really been of help to Tanny. And the OC has been atrocious.

I thought we ran the ball well.. I didn't like the 4th and inches call.... Tannehill should be able to sneak it behind his "pro bowl" Center... Problem is Pouncey being a solid center does not provide enough push in my opinion, he's not very strong at the run game.

In the end, when your conventional offense has done nothing but 7 points in 6 quarters, at half time you make an adjustment and go no huddle the rest of the way. I saw Green Bay do that today, they got stopped a few times and Rodgers mixed up a bit of no huddle to keep Chicago from making substitutions.

Tannehill had a good season. But he ended with 2 terrible games. He was part of the mediocrity. The line played a huge role in that mediocrity at QB. That said, I believe he is still this team's QB. You can't just ignore how much he improved from last season to this season. Put a line around him and better offensive coaching and he'll reach his ceiling which is still very high, IMHO.
