If the Washington Huskies' Running Back, Bishop Sankey, drops to round two in the 2014 Draft, should he come out, this is a guy we should consider drafting. Check out his highlights on YouTube, if you haven't seen him play. He is around 5'10", 200...about the same size as Reggie Bush, maybe an inch or two smaller.

One of the most unlucky guys with injurys. He's a player that never complains and just tries to do his job. We all could use more people like that around us . Get healthy soon

It would seem that way but he ranked in the top 10 for successful runs last year.

    http://www.footballoutsiders.com/stats/RB

    This year he's 14th.

The biggest indictment for this pick, is that Ireland was afraid to lose Thomas in the draft. :D

Gillislie hes more ofe bigger body guy than Thiggy. Whats it matter we only run 16 yards a game

I say give Gillislee a shot... I don't want to think that we wasted a draft pick on him to do nothing... I mean I know that's usual for Ireland drafts but come on... get one right at least..

Anyone think this might be a blessing in disguise? Teams already don't respect our run game, and we abandon it. Now it's going to be even more so. Do we recommit to the run here?

Don't think so, Miller isn't strong enough in my opinion for 20 carries a game.

He should be getting 15 at least. We need to do what AZ is doing with Ellington and Mendenhall.

    Where is the love?

Pity about DTrain, thought he had turned the corner the last couple of games. Thiggy is not really suited for that role b/c it is so blocking heavy a role

Is Owen Schmitt on the market?

3.6 yards per carry behind that line is much better than 3.5 his rookie year...

Too bad for DT. I dont think much of him as a RB, he's missed alot of time to injuries though. I dont see him being here next year. Hope he recovers though.

Interesting to see if Gillislee gets the call up now. Like to see what he can do before the season ends to see if he's worthy.

Im sure Thigpen will get more touches instead though..

I would agree with that if his average didn't significantly trail the other tailbacks he shared carries with in each year.

Not with Lamar Miller. That is a disaster.
Unfortunately our best running back is done for the season.

we don't need to draft all olinemen so I think drafting a fullback and a runningback would be wise at this juncture of time.

Sucks for DT. I feel bad for him as injuries and maddening inconsistency has swallowed his career so far.

I don't know what his future is here but wherever he ends up, I wish him the best.

You smoking something? Thomas has been dragging down the average for 3 years now. He sucks. I'd take Miller every day and find a warm body off the street to match Thomas.

Thomas will avoid a huge hole and then hit a pile of bodies. I've seen him have a hole to either side of a defender and then run right into the defender. It's literally a deer in headlights running. Good riddance.

I agree, good guy but just no vision. Misses huge holes. Blessing in a sense, as we can really find out about Miller.

Who you joking here. Lamar Miller sucks ***. At least DT finds a hole. Miller dances around and loses big yardage. I want him gone.
He is worthless. Miller can't make anyone miss and shows none of this flashy speed I've heard about. He is another John Avery.
All you hear about is he is a one cutter who can get through the hole and break big runs blah, blah, blah.
It hasn't happened at all. So you go ahead and give star treatment to a mediocre back. I'm ready to move on and bring someone in who can get the job done.
    DT stays as a backup.

This shouldn't be a Daniel Thomas verus Lamar Miller argument. Niether one are very good.

But Daniel Thomas has been terrible. The numbers don't lie. I'm sorry for him that he is injured. I'll be glad if he never takes another snap for Miami. I hope we cut him in the offseason.

Through 3 years, and 333 carries DT has o runs for 40+, and 4 for 20+. A 3.6 ypc. The "holes" you claim DT can hit are more like pinholes. Meanwhile everyone on this board sees him missing huge holes. Even during this game the announcer at least once, pointed out a huge hole to the right of DT while DT hits another pile of bodies. He is literally a heat seeking missile. If there are warm bodies in front of him he hits them.

Through 2 years, half the carries Lamar Mill has 2 40+ runs and 6 for 20+. Don't forget 5 fumbles vs 1. That's a 125% higher rate of fumbles per carry, roughly.

Lamar Miller might not be a star, but he's a good back. DT plain sucks. He's been given the chance. There is no there, there.

Interestingly enough, Miller moves into the 1a role, Thigpen moves into 1b

Which in a way, for the best, who we kidding, we throw the ball, Thigpen can make plays.

Hope he makes good use of this opportunity, to me he has game breaking potential, he does have his doubters though.

To me, DTrain running to darkness is not likely to change, we are probably better off just going the Tony Nathan route at Rb, a guy who can run okay, can catch the ball etc

To me, that is Thigpen, real thing is DTrain pass protected and tried to handle short ydg, those roles still have to be filled..would hate to see Clay doing them, not sure Egnew can do it

Based on what? He's 216 lbs. There have been a lot of smaller backs that have handled 20 carries a game.

Wow! I can't believe I just read this.
Using two of the greatest running backs of all time to defend Lamar Miller.
This player love thing for the guy is truly out of control.
Wake up. Miller will never be anything but mediocre.
