    Why?

If they are alone, then he could yell at him back like a child?

It would be nice to put on a pair a gloves and settle it in the ring to solve most problems between men. It seems everyone want to sue these days.

    Sounds like you are deflecting.

Why don't you actually give some solutions, like a man, instead of waffling like a baby.

lawsuits can be frivolous sure. I don't think its really as high as has been reported, not to mention people now knowing they can settle things in court is not a bad thing. It means people are better educated about their rights.

Yeah, exactly. No one was there - they were alone. The dude let him spew his nonsense, then a while later, told the boss it was inappropriate and asked for an apology. He didn't get one, so he filed the grievance.

Like Dupree, I am curious what could he have done? Or why does that make him weak?

Boss or not, he can still stand his ground and let him know he will not be spoken to like that.
A lot of things can be said behind closed doors with no witnesses.

Now you are just being vague and talking in circles. What can be said? You asked me for details and I provided them, so tell me what can he say?

He essentially did what you are saying, he obviously inferred that he wouldn't be spoken to like that by asking him for an apology. Again, what else could he have specifically done in this situation to prevent that from happening again? I need an example of what he could say, because maybe I am dumb, but I can't think of anything besides threats.

No, incognito was suspended because they don't conduct themselves the way he did. Is this is another attempt to make the Gm the fall guy ? Because that would be sweeping it under the rug.

First off, why even ask for an apology? It's apparent that his boss doesn't respect him for whatever reason( which would be nice know) so it would be meaningless to begin with any way.

You could always call someone out without making a threat or yelling.

If you need an example, maybe something along the lines of " I suspect you have a personal problem with me based on what you just said, so lets settle it off these premises". Put the ball in his court and see if tries to weasel out of it.

The flow of the conversation could go in any number of ways that's just one thing off the top of my.

we have become a sissified society. when I was in the Navy my drill sergeant called us "ladies", "swinging *****", and routinely insulted our mothers.

Nobody sued, cried, filed a grievance etc.

    And we all lived.

Please tell me you realize comparing Drill Sergeants to many other types of "bosses" in everyday American society is sort of ridiculous?

Richie Incognito doesn't deserve your cheers or your sympathy for the place his crude behavior, past and present, has landed him for nearly a month. But he deserves his job back.

Give him that. Incognito deserves reinstatement to the Dolphins or his release to sign with another team after Sunday's game – and NFL rules dictate such a decision. He deserves to hit the re-set button on his career unless NFL investigator Ted Wells has a surprise before then.

Yes, I am out of my element. Your argument skills are flawless. I surrender. I must now be a member of this "pussification" and weak because I didn't ask you to deal with this outside of the board. See because off the board is where I could stand my ground and beat you in a game of ping pong or horseshoes so you will then respect me as a man.

Did you kill anyone in the Navy? Risk your life? I'm really having a hard time seeing now you possibly rate.

If Jonathan Martin is a *****, you've got to have done something extraordinary to be anything other than a huge, weeping, sand-filled gash. You ever catch and redirect 250-300 pound star athletes with your hands and body leverage?

Martin quit on his team and threw his mates under the bus. Unless this investigation comes out with something horrific, that's how I'll remember him.

I stopped paying attention to this "story" the second Incognito provided proof that Martin said stupid **** back to him. This whole thing was a giant ****storm of nothing IMO and Im not surprised nothing seems to be coming of it.

Hopefully Ross will be embarrassed by the fact the Dolphins have not had a winning season since he took over majority ownership of the organization. That is the main reason changes are needed for the Dolphin organization and not because of anything Martin claimed happened to him as a member of the team.

Going to HR isnt what Martin did though. there were avenues he could take, and it's been said that he never went to philbin about the issues, never complained to other players on the leadership counsel, never notified the NFL, he quit the team and told the press he was being bullied. that's the ***** way out, sorry.

your coworker, tried to get an apoology and went to HR, he kept things in house, tried to deal with it, and took the next step.

these stories are apples to oranges.

IMO asking for an apology is weak. There's no point to it. At best you get an insincere apology. What he should have done was simply told the boss that he was out of line and that he wouldn't be spoken to in such a matter. If the boss then did something else, something that was actually damaging, like a write-up or some other disciplinary action then he would have cause to file a grievance.

the martin way out would be to joke back with the manager and give him a nuggie and ask him to hang out that weekend, and then hire a lawyer and turn it into a national news story

  33. If it were me he said that too I would put one hand on his shoulder with pressure indicating he should get on his knees while unzipping my fly with my other hand, and me verbal response would of been "well if your offering"

I have been saying this for a while. ESPN used it to turn an unwatchable mnf game into a must watch event. The second the game was over they stopped covering it.
