It's nice to get a blown-out win, but even then the same problems that have existed for the entire season were still present. The team left a tremendous amount of opportunities on the field, and could have easily won by a much bigger margin. You had six 1st half drives, and got 6 points out of them. That's hideous.

Ryan Tannehill played a solid game, but he threw a fair amount of inaccurate passes as well that could have had a big impact. I don't think you can fault him too much for an interception that came when he was hit as he threw, but there's enough other stuff you can't form a parade over the effort.

Lamar Miller would be a much better runningback if we had a coherent run scheme. He's really good on outside run plays, but they can't block an outside zone worth a **** and don't seem interested or able to pursuit alternate means for doing the same thing. His inside runs I'm not sure are such you can't expect him to be the primary ball-carrier in a best case scenario, but this show could be run much better.

I liked what I saw out of Mike Gillislee again, in the little of what we saw of him.

Mike Wallace had a good, relatively wart-free game. He didn't put a tremendous amount of effort into trying to defend the interception, but we're grading on a curve here.

The offense has seemingly moved a bit away from Brian Hartline's bread and butter comeback routes, but he doesn't really seem to be suffering much from it. They go back to it in 3- and 2-minute drills in using the sidelines, but other than that it seems a much less portion of what he does.

Unless a quality tight end falls into the Dolphins lap, I think Charles Clay has made a good enough case to keep the starting job.

The offensive line played a pretty adequate game. The run game was about what you'd expect given the circumstances, and I think it's hard to get too excited about giving up a single sack when the Jets don't really have any decent outside rushers, it's all about what they have in the interior and how well you do blitz pickup.

Olivier Vernon had a really excellent game. 10 tackles, 2.5 sacks, 2 tackles for loss, and hit the quarterback a couple more times to boot. He's a quality starting defensive end, when put in the right position.

This was a pretty quiet game from the interior, and a game in which the defense got ran on as well. Part of that is linebacker play, but I don't think the tackles played a great game.

The Dolphins really I think need to investigate what they can do in terms of getting out of the Dannell Ellerbe and Mike Wheeler contracts. They're bad.

I think it's hard to say too much about the defensive backs in a game where the opponents completed 13 passes and didn't break 100 yards in the air. Brent Grimes is amazing, and other than that maybe Will Davis looking lost is the big noteworthy elements.

Special Teams went from an exciting(but mixed) bag in 2012, and now is just bad. Marcus Thigpen is not returning well and Caleb Sturgis isn't a very good kicker.

Mike Wheeler?:shifty: I take it you meant Philip Wheeler. I believe his contract is the easiest to get out of between he, Ellerbe and Wallace.

Can't say I disagree with anything you said. Nice to win, but LOTS of missed opportunities today. C'est la vie.

Thank God we were playing the Jets. We had plenty of problems, but the Jets make them look minor by comparison at this point.

I loved how Philbin disrespected the Jets offense by going for it on 4th down twice. He spat in Rex Ryan's proverbial face.

We'll need to make more of scoring opportunities to beat the Steelers next weekend. This missed FG garbage can't continue. I just basically expect him to miss past 40 at this point.

To be fair it was early in the game and the Jets offense was performing pretty badly.

We both suck, The Jets just sucked more. Play calling was terrible, 4and 1 and you go to the end zone twice? Dumb dumb. Sherman needs to go.

Sturgis not hurt, correct? Just choking to death? He is a real disappointment.

What is the best site to get game stats? Thanks.

Couple of weeks ago he was on the injury list with a right groin injury, but listed as probable and did play. His kickoffs aren't as booming now, so I wouldn't be surprised if it's still bothering him a little. Can't be much worse for a right legged kicker than to have their right groin be bothering them.

I actually liked it. The stej were stout against the run on short yardage situations and they were flooding the gaps. Very unexpected and ballsy plays that would have been genius had Tannehill connected on both of them... Wish we had ran a bootleg or something though...

Cut it out with the lucky we played this team stuff. It was a good solid road win. Lamar Miller ran hard today. Good game from him.
Tannehill was good overall, Vernon is a beast and the D played very well and the Dolphins win in Jersey 23-3 .
Geez what else would ask for on a Sunday afternoon?

I make the call to go for it on 4th and 1 against the Jets all day everyday. That offense is pitiful.

    Good game all around.

I can see Ireland beaming in the press box watching Vernon hit double digit sacks with 4 games left.

What I don't get is why some fans will act as if shocked RT throws some passes that are off. Every qb throws bad passes in every game. Saw Manning throw a couple yesterday, Brady the same.

I agree the offense left points on the field. We have all year which is a big part of why we are 6-6, along with late game defensive collapses. Until each unit becomes consistent and takes advantage of opportunities, and I call getting the opposing offense in a 3rd and +10 yards an opportunity for the defense to get off the field of create a turnover, then we will remain a 500 team. But it isn't on one player its on all plus the coordinators who I think have their heard up their *** at times.

For our offense to execute in the red zone and on short yardage consistently?

Oline effects both, on those 3rd and 1's we get 0 push up front and create 0 lanes. red zone play calling is baffling at times.
