That is exactly what I said, verbatim. Don't get hurt, just because I don't prefer an aging Wade to team with an aged Kobe. And. Bosh is nice, and I am sure you will bounce out a bunch of stars to thump your chest with, but he benefits from the two players he has around him. Bosh and Kobe would be good, but I don't think it gets them where they want to be, so why bother?

Besides, I'd be shocked if those guys head west.

Melo I like as a player, and perhaps, if Kobe follows his trend from last year of being much more of a facilitator, it could work on the offensive side. But despite their friendship, and the way Kobe goes out of his way to praise Melo, I just can't see that marriage ending great. I could be wrong, and certain innings seem to point towards us all finding out, but I just don't see them as good fits with Bryant. Not if Bryant is still of the mindset that he eats first...and second. That's why Pau and him get along so well. Pau isn't held up on being anything more than a team player and is fine dining on leftovers. Kobe can trust Pau due to Gasol's proven talent, and knows he won't have to fight him for control of the locker room either.

And defensively with a broken Kobe and Melo...yeesh.

But again, Lakers will sign somebody to run alongside Kobe in the offseason. It's just a matter of who, I suppose.

I'm such a huge Dion Waiters fan, really hope Cavs don't sell him for pennies on the dollar.

Kinda concerned about Kyrie having a fairly significant attitude problem. Lots of rumblings over the years and his play this year kinda supports it. Lots of Uncke Drew and very lilttle point guard.

IMO Waiters played best last year when Kyrie was injured and he got to handle the ball mostly. A trade might be great for Waiters, bad for the Cavs.

He's great at getting to the rim but has been abysmal at finishing. He's a decent passer, too.

What people don't realize because he takes so many bad shots is that he's really great in catch and shoot situations. Seems like that's what Cavs want him to do but he's not super excited and Kyrie isn't giving him many looks so there's tension.

Especially after they took him before Lilliard, Barnes, Drummond, and some of the other players they took him over.

That said I hope they do deal him to my Knicks. We need help

This is how bad things are, though its not undeserved. http://www.cbssports.com/nba/eye-on...nicks-fans-start-petition-to-oust-james-dolan Also, someone edited his band's Wikipedia page

I don't really get all the Barnes love but I wanted Drummond so bad.

I don't actually mind any of the players the Cavs drafted, but they passed on too many good center prospects. Jonas, Drummond, Noel, Len. I like the guys on the Cavs, but the roster fit is a disaster.

Yeah it's less about the players and more about the roster. Two PFs and two ball-dominant SGs/6 th men out of our 5 biggest moves is bad fit.

There's been some Waiters for Turner talk. Good value for Cavs but Turner/Kyrie wouldn't work either, but Waiters would be a great fit with former teammate MCW. I wouldn't mind that as a Sixers fans, especially if one or two of the Cavs 5 first round picks the next 2 years are added to the deal, or if we can get out of Jason Richardson's contract.

Like I told you before...The Heat started in 1988. Since then The Heat is spitting distance from the Lakers in achievement. SO ....RELAX. We ain't jealous of ****.

BTW, Bosh benefits from those two. Yes. But he was a numbers monster in Toronto. Now he is just Really Efficient.

Yes they are. And yes, I dont know why hes choosing to live and die by a guard shooting 32%. Smith hasnt been good since the Terry incident. And this is why Smith has always worn the "coach killer label". Hes extremely inconsistent. Last year he was more good then bad. Right now hes just brutal. Felton has been no better...hes gotten fat again and hes been a step slow on PnR and any kind of switch (another pet peeve that Woodson lives and dies by).

There arent too many other places for the offense to come from, and thats part of the problem, but Hardaway showed a lot tonight. 12 points in the 4th and 21 for the game. I like that he adds height at the 2. If Shumpert and he could handle the ball better Id be fine benching Felton too. Bargs played well too with 6 blocks but again inconsistent offense.

Best thing the Knicks can do would be to try and flip Jr to a team that can "fix him" or make his volatility work for them. The spurs come to mind since they had Jackson and Pop was ok with that plus Green is slumping so there may be a need there with Ginobli's age being a factor as well. A 1st and expiring would be fine. Id flip Felton out of town right now as well. Load up on 2016 1sts. Subsidize whatever free agent haul you get with draft picks. Wait for the right deal on Shumpert, Tyson and Bargs. Of course Dolan will never do it so I dont know why I dream up such forward-thinking ideas. So frustrating to have ****ty owners...

Woodson has been given the "dreaded" vote of confidence from James Dolan. Give it 3 more losses in a row (or 3 of 4) and hes probably gone. JVG is already being mentioned as supposedly he and Dolan are back on speaking terms. Supposedly Steve Mills likes him and worked well with him the 2 years they worked together in NY. That is obviously the first step to the Knicks getting back on track in my opinion. Get me a coach like that who can really coach defense and half court basketball. Absolutely yes! Go running with the checkbook Dolan.

MCW and Oladipo with triple doubles. First time ever 2 rookies accomplished this? Someone in Cleveland needs to be fired for their last couple drafts.

1st time 2 rookies have ever had triple doubles in the same game: http://ftw.usatoday.com/2013/12/nba-rookie-carter-williams-oladipo-sixers-magic/

Only 8x have 2 players ever had triple doubles in the same game...and Jason Kidd was involved in over half of them. Only 2x have 2 teammates done that (Kidd/Carter and MJ/Pippen).

A lot of teams were scared off by MCWs high dribble which lead to a higher turnover rate when being pressured. Problem with that line of thinking that it was going to make him a tweener or combo guard type is that scouts didn't account for the fact that no one in the NBA runs a full court or half court press style which are the types of D's that drove MCW nuts in college.

    That doesnt mean squat.

However there are some Knicks tidbits of interest...
    - Jeff Van Gundy shot down rumors that hes interested in the NYK HC job. That he had to shoot it down means theres smoke and where theres smoke....
    - A revelation by Stephen A Smith quoted him as saying that Glen Grunwald had Andrea Bargnani forced on his plate by Ducking Folan. That explains why Grunwald was reassigned. Didnt follow Dolans orders as SAS said he wanted to try and put together a deal for LMA from Portland. At the time Tyson Chandler and iman Shumpert would have seemed like a decent start to an offer. Probably would have needed to add a piece but still not bad. Not saying it would have gotten done just what I heard.
    - Reports that Melo is leaving NYK are bull. He doesnt even tell his closest confidants what hes planning to do and shot it down on Instagram. Dont put any stock in anything you hear regarding this. Just like half of these reporters swore Melo was going to be a Net.
    - Knicks played well tonight. Not a coincidence though that the two teams though that switch the most on defense are two of the worst defensive teams in the legaue. Defense is effort and thats the lazy playground way to play it.
    - Joey Crawford and KG were up to their usual BS. One prick deserves the other. Crawford had no business ejecting Bargnani. Guy is a hothead and a borderline criminal. He also makes Incognito's bullying look like ***** stuff.

SAS takes a lot of stuff and he dishes out some as well. But he gets 1 out of every 3 or so right. Melo is not one of those times. He had Melo plugged in to the Nets just like Wojnarowski and much of the rest of the media.

Also if George Karl would STFU regarding the Knicks that'd be great. I have no love for James Dolan but Karl comes out and said he wouldnt want to work for the Knicks last week as long as Dolan was there. How he didnt like the way the Knicks treated his buddy Larry Brown; I dont see how giving brown 18.5M for a garbage year of coaching is being treated poorly...more like a donation to Larry's retirement fund. Then today he says that Carmelo isn't a championship caliber player. Well I guess hes not a championship caliber coach since hes never won one? I guess Gary Payton and Shawn Kemp weren't championship caliber in their primes either? And I guess he wasnt championship caliber when his Sonics (as a 1 seed) lost to an 8 seed (ironically the same nuggets he now coaches) or when he got his *** whipped by a rookie HC in last years playoffs, when Mark Jackson ate his lunch and then he whined about it for the ensuing 6 months (and was still doing so as of last week when he complained that Jackson was handing refs 1 lineup but starting another at game time).

    Well that's a Win-Win.

Rondo can pass the ball to Melo and handle all of the rebounding. He'll rack up 15 assists nightly.

Then Melo can focus on just the shooting parts of the game.

Well it would be nice to have a PG who isnt chubby, can run an offense, rebound some, and score when needed. I want to see how Rondo's knee is though. Plus I still think it will ultimately be Kyrie and not Rondo.
