Are we lucky that Brown stepped out or are the Steelers lucky to have even had that chance? I bet Steelers fans are acting like they got robbed out of a win, lol. You guys lost and deserved to lose. We have been screwed enough for one season but we appreciate the effort!
To play Devil's Advocate, Pittsburgh would have been extremely lucky to win with that play. Give a little credit to Clemons too. He didn't play that very well, but he did have just enough of an angle to cause Brown to step close enough to the sideline where he did step out.
That play felt like half of my upper body was hanging over a chasm to hell in which the NFL refs had to pull me out.
Also first time we've had a winning record since the New England game. Who knows how this season plays out but this team has a lot of resiliency. If we can add a few pieces in the offseason, for the first time in a long time, we could be a threat in the NFL.
I agree that Big Ben threw that ball forward, I called it in real time, hard to believe the Refs missed it, he threw it a good 2 yards forward, it wasn't even close. I don't know if they would have overturned that call....in Pitt .....with us playing.....just sayin'
Hell of a time to do it too, couldn't have timed it any better. Plus finally getting a 4th quarter TD again. But, man, I'm sure my heart stopped on that last play...at least twice.
This isnt true. A pass beyond the LOS is a play you can review, and it becomes a dead ball at the spot.
that play can happen to anyone, that's not football..what we did prior was fair and square, oline making a hole for Thomas to bust thru it, Clay showing great player balance..Kracken turning it up..grimes making top 5 corner plays.
Thank you sir...Jesus Christ nay sayers we went to Pittsburgh and beat them in the snow. Charles clay made one of the best plays I've seen this year. Enjoy the god damn win. Sent from my GT-P7510 using Tapatalk 4
We beat an elite Qb in their house, in the adverse conditions that totally favor them, in a must win situation for them..that takes a great performance..
Nice answer back after the pick 6 though , all in all another step forward imo for 17 and also for this team. This win will be huge for moral and confidence .
And how about Daniel Thomas ripping off a 50+ yard run to put us in a game-winning opportunity. Daniel £$%&ing Thomas! Never thought I've ever see him running the football that far on one play.
No effin kidding. Anyone trying to paint it otherwise is just wrong imo. HUGE game , HUGE step forward.
If he had not stepped out, and scored, you don't think they'd have ruled there was an illegal forward pass on the review?
Also have to point out, when the weather is that bad, it will be less than a perfect game We gutted it out, and pulled it out
lol this basically sums up my afternoon! Great win. can't believe the friggin Pats and Bmore pulled it out their asses but oh well, bmore will lose later. Great fun in the chatroom today. See ya in there next week!
He ran hard, he always should be going north and south like he did today. Save that lateral **** for the second level.
what is though? you still had phins players all along the way even where brown stepped out of bounds. Would he have done so without the pressure? I'm willing to bet not.
You know that 100% for sure? Sounds like urban legend to me, unless you personally witnessed it or have unretouched photos.
I don't see any naysayers I see some that feel we got lucky and sadly we were just inches away from losing that game . had that player not steped out of bounds this would have been a loss. this win is a good win and I really like Charles Clay he is a good play maker. the Miami - steelers game wasn't on in my area but got to see the 4th quarter . how did Rashad Mathews play I didn't see him ? the one thing that scared me was the last drive and we were close to getting another touchdown but we ran 3 consecutive plays for little or no game. was the weather the main factor in running those plays?
I would not have wanted it to come down to an official review. That being said, they did a pretty good job today save for the ticky tack Lamar Miller hold.
Hey great game by him , really was , really nice upfield cuts on that run. He contributed big time , lots did , love to see that.
