I hear this term thrown out quite often this year, Franchise QB. If not Tannehill, then who? There is no one coming out in the draft that looks good, I think it's going to be a weak draft for QBs with some of the decisions to stay in school. But if someone like AJ McCarron is around in the 5th round, I'd draft him, give Tanny a young backup and someone to keep his fire lit. But to the OP yes Ryan Tannehill is the leader on this team, they only go as far as he'll take them, if they don't make playoffs, it's Tannehill to blame, he is the end all be all of this team. I'd say that's franchise.

I have been a little weary of anointing him because I also thought Henne was the guy. Well, today he broke through. That deep throw to Clay on 3rd down when all momentum was against us was the stuff of champions. There's no more doubt in my mind that he's going to be our guy for years to come. I've always believed in him, and today he took a huge step forward.

Tanny is our guy, he's going to have some growing pains...but that's normal.

Our offense is a year away from being dominant.

Think today was a pretty big statement win for RT17. His development despite suspect coaching, a makeshift O-Line, and no steady run game has been pretty impressive in glimpses this year.

In no way is he in the Russel Wilson category from that class but I do like what I see. Still think Tannehill has a higher ceiling than Wilson and if he can improve some things he could challenge Luck (who I believe is on his way to a pretty good career). But, still Tannehill's stats are better than Luck's and the Colts have looked pretty vulnerable sans Reggie Wayne.

Biggest things I want to see RT keep working on:

-Run more, now I am not talking on a regular basis but what kills me is on 3rd and 3 and he will roll out for what would be an easy 1st down pickup and he passes the ball. Great pass but Hartline got creamed and dropped it. Why not run it there, and I definitely believe that Taylor limits Tannehill's athleticism with his coaching.

-Stop staring down receivers. Now Polamalu is one of the All-Time greats and not many Safeties are as smart and talented as him. But, that pick was just him reading our QB. Locked into Hartline and didn't see it coming. Now another thing is too many times I see him turn his back to one side of the field on his drop backs, and I'd like to see him to start seeing the whole field. Lack of time in the pocket can limit the 5 step drop backs to give RT time but either way his progression with reading not just the 1st but the 2nd and 3rd options is what I am looking for.

-Stop taking stupid sacks. 4th quarter has been a killer all year. Finally we score today in the 4th but still we always seem to give up a sack in the 4th at a terrible time. RT has to know when to get rid of the ball especially on 3rd down too many times I see him hold onto it. Clay fell on his route today but that sack was costly at the time, and thankfully it didn't determine the outcome.

-Rip it. Him and Wallace have made strides the past few weeks but he's got to work with him this off season for sure. But, maybe its a case of RT not getting rid of the ball soon enough on the deep balls. He has the arm strength that is for sure but I think he just needs to know the timing Wallace usually breaks from a CB. Either way I'd still like to see Wallace at least give some effort on jump ball plays. I know that is not his game but for damn sake at least try to make a play.

Love to see us help out Tannehill and not address stockpiling weapons for him, and his supporting cast. Is Wallace overpaid and not a true #1? Yes. Am I happy to have him? Absolutely, he opens up the field in so many ways and he a true game changing threat any time he has the ball in his hands. Gibson was looking good as well before the injury. Hope he can come back at full strength and give the WR a boost in 2014.

What Additions and Changes could benefit Tannehill:

-OC. Yes, we won today but I still think Sherman is freaking clueless. Blame who you want for that last offensive possession but what kinda of calls were those. For a team that more often than not uses a one back set, we pick the time to use our jumbo lineup and run out of the I for 3 straight plays. You know what was working today? Read-Option. Not only today but its been probably our most successful running formation. So why not use it at least once? Oh, that was a Sherman. Honestly, I'd like to see us use it every time in the red zone. The fact that Tannehill makes some pretty good reads while operating it and has the ability to be a threat. In truth we abandon the run game too often despite still being in most ball games. The fact his doesn't utilize Wallace as weapon and change up which sides he runs his routes from is maddening.

My hope is that the rumors of retirement are true for Sherman would be ideal. I think he's a good football man but don't believe he is a good play caller. Even if he stepped into a offensive line coach role and maybe had some front office say I wouldn't mind. Now the name Gary Kubiak is interesting. The guy has had a success as a O-coordinator dating all the way back to his days in Denver. He runs a balanced attack and has a long success of having a good running game. I also think his use of play action and roll-outs would play to Tannehill's strengths. Also believe he would find ways to recreate our run game without cleaning house. I do believe Miller is useful, not sure he is a the #1 we need but paired with a power runner that would be nice.

-QB coach. Zac Taylor is married to his boss' daughter. See I liked what I saw from Taylor last year with Tannehill but have not seen the progression in some facets that I believe Ryan should be making. Taylor seems intent on bottling up as much of RT's running ability as he can. I'd also like to see him coached to create a little more in the pocket rather than bottling up and taking the sack. Extending some plays would be nice.

A couple weeks ago I brought up I like what Carolina has done with Newton's development. First off to me that guy has the highest ceiling of any QB I believe I have seen. But, is it me or do his coaches just get what his strengths are? I mean 3rd and short and goal line they let the 6'5" guy got get it. A big reason I believe is Ron Rivera's trust in his Offensive coaches. Mike Shula has done a pretty nice job this year with the balance and schemes they are running. Not exactly like they have a plethora of high quality receiving options after Steve Smith who is in obvious decline. But, give credit to QB coach Ken Dorsey, yes that Ken Dorsey. I'd like us to employ that. A QB coach who could partner with RT and truly play to his strengths. Also would like to see someone with who is gifted in schemes, someone who has experience with read option. One guy I like is... Chad Pennington: I know he hasn't coached at NFL level. But, I always believe he was going to be a coach one day. He is familiar with RT from his off season work and he'd be a welcome sight in South Florida after his years of hatred for the NYJ.

-A revamped Offensive Line. They have played better as of late but let's get real this by no means should go unaddressed this off season. First off, McKinnie has played pretty decently since the trade. But, he has a history of looking for the paycheck and letting his conditioning plummet when his dollar signs go up. Still, as a end all be all worst case scenario bring him back on one year, and that is a last option. Pouncey is a safe bet to stay or as safe as anyone on the roster. Guy, hasn't had his best year but he been asked to really hold the fort together. Incognito hopefully won't play in a Dolphin uniform again. Sad thing is controversy or not the combo of Garner/Brenner has been much improved. Garner always is steady. He plays hen called upon and isn't a real liability. I hope Brenner gets some opportunity to show if he is worth more than just a backup role. Would be one less need on a laundry list for this O-Line. Clabo has played better but let's get real he should not be resigned. Respect his professionalism but he is not the guy. Incognito is good as gone. I hope the John Jerry experiment is over as well. But, with Jon Martin I hope we just don't release him and try to trade him for a mid to late round pick. Do NOT just cut him without trying to make something out of him. Lastly, please dear god make Dallas Thomas a guard and see if he has any value there. Put some options that I wouldn't mind us looking into for FA/Draft:

---Michael Oher RT, Yes, Baltimore's rush offense has been pretty dismal but I still think Oher is a top Right Tackle who can play Left Tackle in a bind. Think the Ravens will try to keep him but I would like to make a run at him.

---Branden Albert LT, after seeing the lack of Jamar Taylor this year wouldn't of minded trading that 2nd rounder for Albert back in March. Still, the Chiefs drafted a #1 overall LT. Don't believe that was to keep him at RT for the immediate future. Albert got hurt recently so that also might expedite his departure from KC. He is a guy that at 30 I'd try to get him around the 3 year deal but believe he is worth it.

---Zach Strief LT, anyone who blocks for Drew Brees and the time he has in the pocket I wouldn't mind keeping Tannehill clean. Again he is 30 but I don't think the Saints just let him walk.

---Jared Velheer LT, this guy is an animal. He looks 7'1" out there and is pretty solid. A young guy but has some injury issues himself. Think he'll resign with Oakland before the off-season but if he is available make sure we take a look.

---Jon Asamoah G, KC has a pretty good run game, and keeps Smith pretty clean overall. Asamoah is a young lineman at 26. With KC zone scheme I really think Asamoah would be a good fit.

---Not really a big fan of Taylor Lewan as I was before this season. Really reminds me of Jake Long 2.0 which wouldn't be terrible but if we are going to draft a 1st round LT, I really hope its someone who will be a stalwart for a decade or so. And Jake Matthews will be gone.

---Antonio Richardson LT, U of Tenn. The guy who moved Dallas Thomas inside to guard in college. Made Thomas a All-SEC and himself as well. Projects as a mid first round guy, but with good combine it could move him up. One thing is I like is he faced some nasty pass rush this year on a underwhelming Tennessee team.

---Cameron Irving LT, FSU. Winston has had a hell of a season, thanks in large part to his protection. Only a two year starter and he wasn't facing the best type of pass rushers this year. Still, he is a high ceiling guy who with a good combine could possibly put him in Top 15 conversation.

---La'el Collins LT, LSU. Mettenberger minus that last college attempt this year had some pretty good time in the pocket this year. Big reason was Collins who keeps him pretty clean. All-SEC honorable mention is a pretty good honor, seeing the likes of the Lines like Alabama. Late first/early second round pick.

---Greg Robinson LT, Auburn. That offense and rushing attack is something to behold. Robinson only a sophomore is a big reason for it. Wouldn't mind running off Left Tackle behind that guy and don't think our backs would either. Probably a late first/second round option.

---James Hurst LT, UNC. Probably my favorite option for us. I loved watching him handle Clowney in week 1. He is a very good pass blocker and even better run blocker. Good size and is a four year starter. Believe he will last to round 2. If we don't go round 1 LT, then he is my pick if he is on the board in round 2.

---Gabe Jackson G, Miss St. This guy seems to me like he has been in college so long. A good downhill blocker but not overly athletic. Would not want him in round 1 but round 2 is a possibility.

---David Yankey G, Stanford. An 1st team All-American, and a really good inside blocker. I love Stanford's toughness and run game. My hope is he doesn't become Martin 2.0 in this crazy locker room we have. He could be a 2nd or 3rd round option.

---Anthony Steen G, Alabama. A solid starter for Alabama, whom most consider one of the weaker links on the line. Well, not really a bad thing to hear when you think of some of the talent to come out of that line the past couple years. He is a definite mid round pick, as I don't feel he will blow away any scouts at the combine. More than likely could be a starter at RG day one.

-Add some more weapons. Now I am not talking about breaking the bank like we did this off season. But, I wouldn't mind us give Tannehill some more toys to play with especially give us some depth. If we can shore up the line and make that priority number 1 we will most certainly be more successful. But to compete with the Elites we need as many play makers as possible. One big thing I think we need is a compliment to Lamar Miller. Miller can be the lightning but we need some thunder. Sorry, Daniel Thomas is not the guy. I'd like us to bring in a downhill between the tackles guy, who can provide good pass blocking. Charles Clay has been amazing this year and I feel he is going to keep developing. Still, I'd like to see him paired with a big bodied tight end. Ideally, someone who can play in-line and block but who can challenge the defense on the seam, and be our red zone threat (something we really need). We lack a receiver who really can go up and get the ball. Wallace is a burner, Hartline is a possession guy, Gibson when healthy is a slot possession guy. Matthews as well. There all the same size too around the 6'-6'2 range. Wouldn't mind us taking a shot in the draft to bring in someone with size, or if there is an affordable free agent. Here are some options in FA/Draft we should definitely take a look at:

---Ben Tate RB, Texans. He's been the guy this year in Houston with Foster being sidelined. The guy is a pretty darn good back as well, unfortunately in a loaded backfield. Not sure he wouldn't be interested in being "The Guy" on a different team. Think he is the most coveted FA back this year. If we bring him on he would need to be the main focus and not sure we need to make that a main priority especially for the money, but would not complain one bit if he joins this team.

---Maurice Jones-Drew RB, Jaguars. A lot of wear on those tires but still think he has a few more quality years especially if he isn't ask to be the only guy. He would provide some need veteran presence to a young offense, and would provide some very good pass protection.

---Legarette Blount RB, Patriots. Thought he got a raw deal with Schiano when he pretty much got passed over. He has played well in a limited role this year. I think he is a tough nose runner we need and he has kept his nose pretty clean for the most part since coming to the league. Don't believe he is a Philbin guy but hey who knows.

---Carlos Hyde RB, Ohio State. I do not believe we need to make RB an early draft pick but something in the 3rd or later would be fine with me. Hyde is an old school power runner. While he isn't a burner or speed guy he is quick enough at the second level. He is just a true workhorse for that Ohio State offense. Would like him in round 3/4.

---James Jones WR, Packers. Not having the year he had last year but how could he with Rodgers missing significant time. Still, he has had some pretty good games and will be around the 800 yard mark at year end. He is a jump ball receiver who has a nose of the end zone. Has familiarity with Philbin so that could help. He is 30 already so not looking to lock him up more than a 3 year deal.

---Riley Cooper WR, Eagles. He had a pretty darn good year despite being a racist (jk). Never realized how much size he really had but he goes up and gets the ball. Nothing more than a #2/#3 receiver but he fights for the ball and we could desperately use that.

---Kenny Britt WR, Titans. Yes, I know he has played dismal this year and has injury concerns. He also seems to have a diva personality but when healthy he is a legit threat. For the right price and right amount of years even if its a one year try and buy I'd look into it. Another guy like Blount I am sure Philbin looks to avoid.

---Kelvin Benjamin WR, FSU. If he comes out he is making a mistake. Not that he isn't talented but I think if he stays another year he could work his way into a round 1 possibly top 10 pick. You just can't teach that size. The way he goes and gets the ball and how well he uses his feet and positioning is amazing. If he does come out and on the table in round 3, learn from past mistakes and take the Best Player Available. He is a project and wouldn't be a day one starter but he is very intriguing.

---Matavius Bryant WR, Clemson. Sammy Watkins is the man at Clemson but look at the success Nuke Hopkins has had this year. Bryant in his own right may just be overshadowed but a a hell of a receiver in his own right. He is 6'5 but a little frail for my liking. But he goes up and gets the ball and has the speed to challenge a defense. Round 3/4 wouldn't be a bad time to take a chance.

---Brandon Pettigrew TE, Lions. Never really has lived up 1st round pick. He has been solid but not as spectacular as I thought he was going to be. He has had back to back 700+yard seasons and is having a down year this year. He is asked to block a lot and is quite good, he also has size and speed to be a receiving threat.

---Fred Davis TE, Redskins. God Shanahan just doesn't seem to get along with his players. Davis while talented doesn't seem the easiest to deal with but how do you not play him. Guy, is most likely done in Washington and probably not a guy Philbin would touch but he is 6'5" and an athlete some thing Tannehill would like.

---A lot of talented TE's coming out this year. But, as we have seen they are in demand in the NFL. But, I don't think we choose one early as it isn't a real desperate need. But, here are some mid round guys I wouldn't mind.

---CJ Fiedrowicz TE, Iowa. They have and always will be a rushing team. Hard to put up big stats when you run 40+ times a game. The kid is 6'7" and is a very solid blocker. He is believed to be a far better athlete than you would guess. In round 3/4 I would take him all day. Let him work in the red zone and the seam.

---Colt Lyerla TE, Oregon. He was off the team this year with some off field and drug issues. Not the best news to hear but we have seen people reclaim their issues and become a hell of a pro. Look at Tyran Mattheu who is a DROY candidate. Lyerla is a speed TE with good size. He may be a late round or even undrafted option who could be low risk high reward.

That's my recipe for continued success for Tannehill, let me know your thoughts.

When you look at how far he's come, from being a project QB that wasn't supposed to play his first year to winning on the road in bad conditions at PIT, I think you have to be excited. He's thrown for 20 TD's and will likely throw for over 4,000 yards. More importantly, he has his team in a position for the playoffs.

It's easy to forget that he is still very inexperienced at QB. Yeah, he needs to get better hitting Wallace deep. Yes, he needs to clean up some of his mistakes and stop turning the ball over so much. Yeah, he needs to continue to get better in the pocket.

It's also easy to forget that it took Aaron Rodgers 4 years to become a franchise QB. To add to that, he already had a great team built around him. It's also easy to forget that Drew Brees was pretty mediocre until his 4th year in the NFL.

What I like about him is his ability to bounce back after a bad play. I like his confidence. I like how when he actually gets pass protection, he makes plays.

not a doubt in my mind. the big difference between wilson and tannehill, is wilson doesnt carry the burden of the seahawks like tannehill has to do with the dolphins. wilson only attempts a little over 20 times a game. tannehill 30+ a game.

The Tannehill-era is well underway. Whether he can match the personal records of Dan or the team records of Bob, remains unknown but I think he is a good fit for us. A mature player, intelligent, athletic, dedicated and responsible.

There are some traits that he possess that Dan never had or never could have; patience with his team. He is the perfect player for us to build around so let's get to it.

Yes he is. Yes...he...is. Stick with this guy.

The OC thing is a tough call for me. On the one hand I see frustrating play design that makes Tannehill's job much harder than it should be. But Tannehill is making strides under him and a good deal of that may have to do with the extended familiarity they have. Don't want to stunt Tannehill's growth, but also don't want to keep running patterns and plays designed by Sherman. Tough call, imo.

Tannehill is not a tough call. He's the guy.

This is what I have been saying. I was curious watching that game today because I knew SF would try to keep him in the pocket. Success was limited in this regard because he made plays on rollouts and broken plays.

What was very apparent was that he has happy feet and just isn't comfortable in the pocket. He has such an instinct to look at his first read then get the feet moving. Contrary to the belief of some, I don't think this is an easy habit to break.

They'll do well this season and Wilson is a good story but I'm not convinced that you can build a team around this style of play. At some point in time he won't have that defense or that running game and will be expected to lead his team and make plays from the pocket. From what I've seen, he can't do that consistently yet.

I think he's our guy for a lot of years to come. One of the things that I really like about him is his maturity. He has had every reason to complain this year, and he has not said a peep against his teammates. He takes ownership.

I very openly hate and hammer on things I dislike about this team..or on things I feel are hurting this team. RT...I Love. He put this team on his shoulders this season. He is winning games for us. He has been sacked a bazillion times. Love this guy. Love where he is going.

And to my recollection, he has not cost us a single loss this season. No 3 or 4 or 5 turnover fiasco on him. A lot of QBs do that. And he has won us games.

Tannehill was 8-of-10 with 3 touchdowns passing inside the RZ today.

It's just the 2nd time in the last 5 seasons the Steelers have allowed 3 passing touchdowns inside the red zone.

I always try to keep thread quarrels and/or opinions to that specific thread. We may differ on Motorcycles, or maybe the style of jeans we choose to wear...but what does that have to do with the team we both love? I don't hold another discussion against you in this one.

Yeah, the Saints game, we were doomed from the get-go. The Saints at home under the lights, as evident tonight, are unstoppable. Pedestrian on the road though. Like when Seattle pushed their poop in a few weeks ago.

You can almost throw that game out for us as the Saints dismantle most teams when at home.

They destroyed the Panthers just tonight and had Cam all crybaby pouty faced on the sideline.

Stop stop stop stop stop. Please stop. Stop comparing him to him. It's not fair and not close. With that said, I was thrilled when they drafted him. I'm still thrilled. I'm fine with him learning on the job. He's grown a ton in the last 3 weeks. I don't care about the term "franchise." Just be our QB for the long term, be successful and go from there. Very happy. Not a complaint to be heard from me.

    Thanks, it's all good man.

Yeah, Saints at home at night, and Seattle at home...those games are pretty much not winnable. I figured out our path for the playoffs though... If we get the 6th seed, we need to draw the Colts...because we match up well and can beat them.

Then we need to draw the Broncos, and finally the Patriots. Now I would NEVER root for a player to get hurt...but if we can knock Manning out of the game before he scores 21 or more points...we can win. And then, as division rivals...we have a fighting chance against the Pats. Boom.

This season I expected his efficiency to increase (which it has) and I was expecting him to become more prolific next season. I was thinking 3700 yards 20 TD's 12 INT's kind of production for this season. The 300 yard games and the 3 TD games are starting to come much sooner than I personally projected. Fumbles were an issue early, but someone brought up earlier in the season that his fumble rate on sacks was actually lower than guys like Manning, it's just that it looked like a problem because of the volume of sacks he was taking.

I have three main issues that I think will ultimately determine the type of career he has. If the game slows down by about 30-50% next season his INT's which are too high, bad decisions, and missed opportunities will decrease. This could help him to be prolific as well. He's throwing deep passes just a bit too late in the play, he makes some mind boggling passes sometimes, and he can sometimes miss the better receiving option on a play. Assuming a 30-50% slow down, he'll be closer to an Aaron Rodgers type passer. Pretty athletic, strong arm, good ball placement. Otherwise, I see him as a Brett Favre type passer. Feast or famine, prone to brain farts but still a good player. Good arm and thinks with it, rather than his brain. Can be prolific but not always the most efficient player. Note that I'm referring to those two as archetypes, not saying he will be on their level.

Tannehill is 10th in the league in passing yardage. Ahead of name QB's like Colin Kaepernick, Andrew Luck, Tony Romo, Joe Flacco, Eli Manning, Russell Wilson and Cam Newton.

He has a better completion percentage than such QB's like Tom Brady and Matt Stafford (amongst most of the ones listed above).

Oh, and his 20 TD's on the season are good enough to be tied for 11th in the league, one score behind Tom Brady and Matt Ryan.

In use areas that matter most, Ryan Tannehill's numbers have him near, or in, the top ten in the league.

He isn't an elite QB right now, but he is certainly trending upwards and certainly one that most franchise would hitch their wagon to.

If he could get some actual protection, you would see his sacks (and interceptions) go down.

With the emergence of Charles Clay to go with the four-headed wide receiving corps (Wallace, Hartline, Gibson and Matthews), RT is set up with quality weapons in the passing game.

Now if we could just find some consistency in the running game...

Great game by RT yesterday. Especially since he never played in the snow (pretty sure that's what they said). The Polamalu pick six aside (and the one he dropped to start the game), I thought RT played a great, great game. Loved the 48 yard run (I just don't understand why they don't do that more often, unless it's concern for his safety). His throws looked good (again, the two to Polamalu aside). Love the chemistry between him and Hartline. I think he and Wallace will even eventually click much in the same way. I'm really excited and think he still has a lot of upside.

Yes sir, it looks like he may finally have the answer we've been looking for at the QB position ever since #13 retired.

Hahaha, thanks. Nah, just a fan who thinks we are a lot closer than it may seem. But, we can't get complacent with what we have when we still could use a few more tools. Still, I think RT17 is our guy for the foreseeable future. I like his progress as the season even from a coaching standpoint. Still, a lot of stuff we could clean up. There are times I wonder what universe Philbin and Co. are in. Not having the defense set on that last play...inexcusable.

I really do hope we make some changes this offseason in our Front Office and Staff. The reports of Ireland being safe means next to nothing to me. I believe what Ross almost never and if we lose out trust me no one is secure. I hope if Sherman is gone Taylor will be as well. Turner can be shown the door. We have too many tools on offense to not consistently be scoring. That last drive was putrid yesterday and the fact is to be as effiecient as can be right now we need to the "Read Option" in the Red Zone. Tannehill really does make quality decisions out of that formation, and I love to see his rushing numbers increase and he doesn't take unnecessary hits.

I've been thinking about our chances along these lines. I think we can make the playoffs and possibly even win out. The pats are a different team w/o Gronk. They're a team that averages 20 pts per game and we can clearly hang with that. It's still NE, so it'll be an uphill battle, but it's one we could win. The other two division games will be tough as all division games are, but we will be the better team. I don't think it's likely that the Ravens win out. I would actually say it's more likely than not that they lose 2 out of 3. We've already proven we can beat Cincy or Indy (our most likely 1st rd opponents if we get in). That's not a guarantee or anything, but it's hardly a stretch to think that we can beat either of those opponents. After that, however, things get tougher. I assume that as the lowest seed we'd play Denver in round 2. Our best hope is that it's a cold, windy day in Denver. Manning is just a different QB in those conditions. He can't attack all areas of the field. He still has a ton of weapons and he's still great QB, but it may bring down their offensive output to about the 30s. I don't think we can hope for more than that unless our run game and most likely a heavy dose of read option just keep them off the field. Even then we're hardly a scoring juggernaut. Obviously we've been improving as the season progresses, but we'd have more improving to do to have a realistic chance of winning a shootout against Denver. IMO we'd have to play a near perfect game to pull a game out against Denver.

I saw a Madden commercial during the games yesterday. It was talking about the future QBs and the three they showed were Luck, Wilson and RT. That surprised me. A year ago, I can't imagine that RT would have been one of the featured guys.

ATM, I'd say he is working on it.

A "franchise" Qb does everything, they find ways to win games and beat teams we "should" beat

THill does find ways to win games, as of yet he does not consistently find ways to beat lesser opponents.

When you see a Qb leading the team in rushing in a win, that is a sign, when you see a team consistently come from behind for wins, that is another sign.

V Pitt we were down 3 times, including down 4 with 4 minutes to go, he found a way to get it done

Loved RT since the moment we drafted him (and was begging for it leading up to the moment it happened). I always thought he would eventually be a great QB, and I feel even more confident today.

I think a lot of us (and the media, especially national media), get confused by the track he is taking to greatness. Because of his inexperience playing the position overall, it is going to take longer, and we're going to have to experience some fairly unique growing pains before he gets to where he'll eventually be. Compared to other young QBs, who appear more polished coming out, such as Luck.

I think if Ryan had started 44 games in college or whatever, he'd have hit the ground running a lot better. Now, we are starting to see just what he's capable of, and it's a beautiful thing.

As has been stated here and elsewhere about 10,000 times, yes, he still needs to work on some things, but he's getting better every week, and it's obvious!

I would say, just enjoy the ride up, because we're not even close to being done yet! The destination is going to be wonderful.

We had been discussing for days why the team hadn't been running Tannehill more. Some of us speculated that this was due to the team wanting to develop Tannehill's pocket skills.

Check Sherman's press conference today. He confirmed that this had been the plan.

Should watch Sherman's interview, very revealing about Tannehill before this game, and his general mindset and attitude.

The odd thing with RGIII, his stats are not horrible. He has an 82 rating to RT's 84.

    RGIII = 3200 yd, 16 tds, 12 ints.
RT has 3300 yds, 20 tds, 14 ints.

I mean, the Skins completely quit as a team this year...on a 2 time SB champion coach no less. But I don't get why RGIII has to come out of the conversation. His production is right there with RT, and Luck...while Russell Wilson has a much higher rating with a 106. But I'd like to see any QB put up a triple digit QBR with 45+ sacks allowed. Wilson easily has the best supporting cast, so that takes a lot of the mistakes away from his game. My point is that those 4 still all have the potential to be great. I will say, what RT has accomplished through such turmoil and duress is pretty amazing.
