No. He would have led us to the playoffs despite the drama surrounding the Martin/Incognito situation and Offensive Line/Mike Wallace blunders by Ireland. That's with a second year QB. He should very well be in the running. Deservedly so, too.

I don't think we're going to agree on this. I just don't think it was a good signing at all. Especially for Philbin.

Thing is, we faced a veteran team who has won SB's at core positions, they knew it was win or be done for the season.

That changes a lot of things, Troy P's pick 6 for example

They were not going away quietly, and we were on the road and in weather we normally do not play well in.

To come back after gift wrapping them 7 points and having them act desperate at the end, shows toughness..

The worst field conditions I've ever seen were at the Ralph in the early 90s. The field with that astroturf frozen solid was a literal skating rink. I'd guess they have a better playing surface for cold weather these days though.

You know Philbin better than Philbin knows Philbin?

There is no doubt we are the better team but you know what, we were also the better team in October. We still managed to loose at home, after a bye, to their 4th string QB.

This team is capable of ****ting the bed on any week against any opponent.

Don't let them break your heart again.

I 100% agree with you. I didn't mind the fact we ran 3 times but I was expecting at least one of them to be a designed roll out to at least give us a shot at the TD.

Just remember the Bills game. I'm fine with running 3 times strait.

The guy is one of the best, if not the best in the league in a quality red zone skill. The fact that he's been under-utilized in that regard isn't really relevant.

What he is in reality is a player who can do one thing well, which a lot of people on this board claimed over and over isn't true. Wallace should have absolutely made some attempt to adjust on the ball, and the standard that Tannehill has to deliver a ball that Wallace doesn't have to adjust at all for is ludicrous.

His effort in general is atrocious, and I don't think he gets points for putting teams in a position to play very common coverage shells to defend him.

No, I think we should hold it against them how they've handled the run game, how they've handled the pass protection, or offensive play calling in general. Or how the team plays down to its opposition(besides the Jets). Or how they've given away 10 point leads in 5+ games.

Doesn't do pocket presence well, and he doesn't do the middle of the field well, and we've got Mike Sherman's son in law as the guy who is tasked with correcting it.

It was a WR not making a play that a WR who gets paid like he does should make. Megatron, Andre Johnson, Dez Bryant, Julio Jones, Brandon Marshall, A.J. Green, Josh Gordon.. they all have the ball skills to bring in that very catchable pass and beat the defender. That list is just off the top of my head, I'm sure there are many other receivers that would be expected to make that catch. Several that probably get paid less than Mike Wallace. It's not that Mike Wallace doesn't catch those contested balls sometimes, he NEVER does. If we only need a WR that can catch balls that hit him perfectly in stride and in the hands an undrafted rookie can do that.

Its Patriots week, so I'm not going to continue beating a dead horse with the Buffalo matchup not looming for another week but...

I don't know how this can be said with any confidence. You've heard of the term 'lake effect snow,' right? You also realize that there was absolutely no wind in Pittsburgh yesterday afternoon, yes?

I'll let you draw your own conclusions from the following video:

Pate do you think some of the leads we've surroundered are due to being a Young team??new guys in a 2nd year system making mistakes?.. Not overwhelming the opponent from a personnel standpoint.??.. Young Qb who has a lot of turnovers?
