Except Tannehill's foot longer! You know, I give Tannehill **** every week about something in his game and we know he made a couple wth throws. But every single time Pitt scored, I thought the game was over. Tannehill pulled out his 12 incher over and over and said FU nappy! Good for you Ryan! And obviously the entire team. Let's go get this last playoff spot.
I love how he threw a pick 6, then comes out and hits clay on the money deep down the sideline, then throws a td pass. Dude is cold as ****ing ice, and nothing effects him good or bad.
I like the nickname "The Surgeon" that someone around here gave him in their sig. Forget who. Was fitting yesterday
I was at the game and that pick pissed me off and was all on RT, never saw Safety and should have. Troy sat back and read his eyes and jumped it. BUT loved how he stoned.
This ran before the Pitt game What sets Tannehill apart from some other NFL quarterbacks, Clabo said, is that his demeanor is so consistent, no matter the situation. Whether ahead or behind, early in the game or late, he has the same look on his face. Clabo added: “It’s kind of calming. He just has a look of, he’s going to get it done, and he usually does. ... We keep looking at him and he’s this guy who’s obviously the guy who’s going to get us where we need to go.” Read more here: http://www.miamiherald.com/2013/12/08/3804514/quarterback-ryan-tannehill-on.html#storylink=cpy Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Tapatalk 2
Tannehill took a gigantic, boner-inducing step yesterday. He's had moments of brilliance before, but his resilience and calmness during the most tense and critical of situations showed me he has what it takes. Now he needs to build on it.
Disagree. Troy lined up as a DT. It was just a great play. In slow motion on replay you can dissect it, but it happens within 3 seconds. The dropped pick was a way worse decision.
Also what sucked about that Troy pick 6 was Daniel Thomas came out delayed and was wide open in the middle of the field. Tannehill took a shot from Troys knee to the side of his head too trying to push him out.....whats he do? Throw 2 tds and picks them a part, in the snow, on the road, with more pressure than possible.....and wins us the game. Fantastic!
Troy was actually lined up as a tackle on the LOS. I don't blame Tanny for that one, Troy came from BFE to make that play. it was all Troy.
It's just a danged shame there aren't more like him on this team. Does anyone feel really let down by this defense, compared to where they were a year ago ?? I know the weather affected things and understand that, but this D has never looked as good as it did in the first game against Cleveland. What happened to that D, and we've played worse teams than Cleveland ??
I don't know why so many people are down on the defense. I guess some people have pretty lofty expectations. We are a top 10 scoring defense. We also are one of the best teams pressuring and sacking the QB and forcing turnovers. Since the NE debacle we've given up: 20, 22, 16, 20, 3, 21 points. That's solid.
Troy lost a step from his prime without a doubt...but that was a play only a few guys in the league make...he's still one of them
Tannehill's explanation was so awesome. "They rolled to cover six; he was playing the SAM so I figured he'd stay on the right side of the field but I should have known... it's Troy Polamalu... he doesn't ever stay anywhere. He followed my eyes, came back to Hartline, and ran underneath it. I gotta be aware of where he's at and just not throw it to him."
I think that d is right here now, it was obvious to me since the charger game that they went to another level...fig newton beat them with his damn legs...yesterday, your gonna give up some yards, the conditions dictated that.
Because getting off the field on 3rd down is an issue. 3 threads for T-hill's third leg would be appropriate.
Yeah, and they've also struggled against the run at times. But overall it's still a pretty good defense. In the end, the points you give up are what's most important, and we're top 10. Being able to get to the quarterback is also very important, and again, we're one of the best in the league.
First the pick - this was a HoF play from a HoF player. We just have to call it for what it is. To track him from the defensive line all the way to Tannehill's left was ridiculous. Second - the pick six was in so many ways necessary for his development. Anybody (Wilson...cough) can lead a team when all is going well. It's not until it appears as if everything from the game to season is at stake that we can really peak under the good and see what these young QBs are made of. His response to this pick six was huge for his and the team's development.
