This Pats team is just ravaged by injury to their best players: Wilfork, Mayo, Gronk, Kelly, Vereen for most. They should not have won 10 games.

They're weak as sh-t, ripe to be picked off the top this year. It's is our time.

We thought this way when they were off to a horrific start to the first quarter of the season, where brady was rockin a 70 QBR or something.

but pats gunna pats.... and refs gunna ref...boom, 10 wins.

A win would be ****ing amazing, though.

I really feel that the dolphins are playing with a ton of confidence now. They should have won in NE, but a 2nd half let up and the refs picking up where they could kept them from a win. I think the fins are out for revenge...and we get it.

I wonder how many screens they are going to throw on us next week. I'm really not sure why teams just don't throw screens every damn play against us. If we stop a screen for 8 yards, its a major win for us.

WORK ON THIS COYLE!!! I can smell Brady chipping away at next weeks multi score lead already!!!

And PLEASE football gods...let D. Patterson suit up.

We gave them fits in their house, and Gronk didn't do ****.
Their best weapon is out, Brady always struggles in Miami.
    Yeah, its time for payback.

I was debating whether the win vs Cleveland was good or bad for us. The Pats rarely, if ever, lose 2 straight. But this win was ridiculous. Do they have the belief that they cannot lose? That level of confidence can be dangerous. We both won gut wrenching physical games today.
Honestly, giving up a pick-6 on the road in the 2nd half, and still beating an always tough Pitt team on the road, in their weather, is hell-impressive.

We need to bring the A game next week. No resting on laurels...no partying at Club-Liv or stuffing faces at Prime 112...no over celebrating. Handle the business of winning, and continue it next week. The way we, and the Pats have both been playing, we can win. Pats have been playing up and down to their competition this year. I expect an aggressive home crowd next week. Get after Brady, build a lead...AND HOLD IT! Throttle them, stomp on their throats...come out of the 2nd half gates on fire!!! We need this game.

Especially after that Minny-Balt horse ****.

I heard a stat yesterday that in the games with Gronk their offense averaged 32 pts per game. In the games without him they averaged 20.3 pts per game. Now obviously Gronk isn't scoring nearly 12 pts per game on is own, but he is impacting the game. Much like Wallace does for us (but to an even greater extent), he draws defenders to his area and gives other receivers more space and the QB better windows.

    What the Patriots exploit:

When you throw it deep to a wide receiver, all eyes are on that matchup. The over-eagerness of a ref to call pass interference on a deep ball is a point of emphasis for the Patriots, as you can see with the Boyce-McFadden play, and as you can see first-hand with the Jimmy Wilson PI that was called in the first game.

We are actually lucky we didn't get called a couple times against the Steelers when they threw it deep.

And Coyle is running him on stunts now, which is a huge change from his usual "speed rush to Qb" mode

Mhm...I saw us getting some serious heat up the middle from Wake...not just the normal from the side stuff. And thats how you kill Brady. Hard rush in his face...he wilts.

They dont scare me at all either. Against the Broncos it was an impressive comeback but there defense did give up a ton of points in that game, granted it was against Denver and all but still.

Againt the terrible Texans they gave up a ton of points again and had to barely survive against a team who cant get out of there own way.

Yesterday, they lose to the Browns at home and give up almost 400 yards to the newly aquired QB.

( yes,I realize what the final score was but the Patriots did not beat the Browns, the refs did.)

Hehe..consider this deej, w/Gronk out, Dio is now free to disrupt.

Not only does losing Gronk effect their offense negatively, it impacts our D positively, Jordan won't be shadowing Gronk in this one

Again...DO NOT ABANDON the run. Dolphins have to use Thomas, Gillislee and Thigpen to charge it up between the tackles. Hopefully Miller will be healthy too. Pats are second last in the NFL in run defence. Sherman must continue to run the ball in the second half. There is no excuse to make the same mistake twice. The Dolphins OL has to get some push and this is now a better OL unit than the previous encounter.

A Dolphin win could mean great momentum for the rest of the season. It will be a huge confidence booster.

Could be, thing is now the Pats can't influence where Jordan will be via formation.

I'd dearly love to see him used as JT was in 06, line him up everywhere, have no idea if he is pass rushing or dropping into coverage.

Would like to see him at MLB with his job being to cover the flats, try to throw those little swing passes and #95 may house it on him

I;d love to have him stacked on Wake or OV's side as well, a twist with those combinations puts one of them directly into Brady's biscuits.

This is one of the disappointing things about the Philbin era, he is soo adamant about the way things are going to be done that he does not always play the best guys enough

He had 6 pass rushes, 1 pressure v Pitt...6 rushes.

Wonder if they put him on Miller after he burned us a couple of times?

I have a feeling that the evolution of Tannehill will take another big step next week with some "wildcat" types of plays that broke him out for almost 50 yards on that play against Pitt. They've been dangling the read-option in front of us the past few weeks but TH hasn't really exploded from it yet (besides that one play)...maybe they're just pacing him for this match-up.

Make no mistake though, this is certainly a playoff game and the stakes are huge. We could probably afford to lose this one and still squeak in, but it will say so much more with a victory. I honestly think we're ready mentally and physically, plus the refs almost have to be on our side this week as well. If they give NE too many more free TD's, I hear Minnesota, Oakland and New Orleans are going to defect to the CFL.

Well I read somewhere (Football Outsiders I think) that Jordan had 19 defensive snaps vs Pitt.

I don't think I saw him except maybe once.

THAT my friends, is the death of "you need a franchise left tackle with a high #1 pick!!!"

The theory goes "oh, he protects the Qb's blindside!"

Brady, as much as I dislike him, has savvy and experience, Wake is rushing from his right side, in the Parcells theory, Brady would have seen him and gotten the ball out before Wake could hit him

As the video shows, Brady was far far to focused down the field to ever notice Kraken rolling in

This is why Jordan was the right pick at #3, not the left tackle, heck merely shuffling McKinnie in has made a world of difference for the offense, and he was a cheapy acquisition, in season

Which rarely happens in the NFL

THAT is why you do not overpay for a left tackle, realistically they are no more valuable then your RT in the modern NFL

We've got to protect the edges in this game, it's really been our weakness, if Brady draws pressure and gets it over our head we must come up and make the tackle...Ellerbe and wheeler have to play well..i would feel so much safer with Dion in the middle, crazy right..

I just watched that play about 25 times in a row. I'm probably hopeless. I don't want there to be a cure.

However, I will say I like the 9-Step program Wake takes to bury Brady.

If we're ever going to beat this effing team, now's the time. Their injury report and IR list is full of stud players at key positions.

If we lose this one, it will mean the Pats have swept us 4 years in a row. That's flat-out embarrassing and cannot happen. Can. Not.

Love our chances this week. Expecting a win!

Yeah I get the same feeling sometimes. But i can also see the benefit of this philosophy long term. Should have a group of smart, fundamentally sound players out there as a result.....sounds kinda like a certain N.E. coach actually.
