OV made one of the best plays of the game says Coyle..it was the 4th and 10 that Ben almost got when he took off, Coyle says OV was on an inside stunt, saw Ben running and shout out like a cannon to stop Ben short to take over on downs..great play.

Coyle says Nolan was our MVP, says he made a great pd on the post and two critical break ups in the 2nd half..used the word phenominal when describing, real solid overall.

Coyle says the one big pass to Andre brown was a busted coverage, turf wouldn't allow the players to make amends.

Coyle compliments Philbin amidst the noise the coach never wavered in his approach and demonstrated great leadership and direction, said he demands accountability from everyone to become the best franchise in the league.

Says that He's confident his defense will play their best game, says they played well for most of the game earlier in the year citing their 52 total yards in the first half.

Sherman says DTs performance was critical and that he showed mental toughness by not only playing with pain, but playing WELL with pain.

Sherm says Ryan was very confident for this game especially on game day.

This has been stated but it was very cool when he said so I will reiterate, " he has a mindset ths is different than most people I've ever been around"

Sherm says that clays ascension is due to him believing that he could do things that he didn't believe he could do himself.

Sherm says Charlie Clay, if he continues to work as he is, has a chance to be real special.

    From my take this far...Nolan Carroll..Charlie Clay...Ryan Tannehill..Daniel Thomas...were the mvp's of this game.

    A 5th, a 6th, a 2nd, and a 1st...

Sherman on Philbin." You have no idea what it takes to keep a team together, to keep them focused without splintering, I have to give him tremendous credit for the focus he demanded from all of us"... He laughs to himself, and says " this is tough, I don't know how he's gonna do it, but he did a phenominal Job keeping us together and on task"

    2. The level of respect Ryan Tannehill has in the Dolphins locker room is 2nd only to Pennington during my tenure. His teammates believe.

    Omar Kelly ‏@OmarKelly 5m
And I'm not talking about that fake belief they gave Chad Henne, which was total BS. Tannehill now acts like a BOSS."

Have not been on Twitter in ages... Surprising to see Omar giving Tannehill love.

Must do it more consistently. Too many times Ryan and the team have a great game, and follow it up with a stinker.

Obviously I can't disagree with that, that's been our trend, but there have been signs since the charger game that there were units on the team that were starting to play at higher levels..I thought it continued against Carolina, people can say what they want, but we knocked the sh&$ out of that offense, but our own offense kept sputtering, then those legs by an athlete playing Qb got us by a play or two, but physically, we beat that team, then the jets then the steelers, their were signs imo, now for this game, you have to have the coaches help, the patriots don't believe in playing you strait up, they believe in misdirection, deception, and intellect..I think we should play smart in zone on the back end, and tell our Dline just to go hunt like dogs, and not worry what's going on behind them..just beat your man and hit that mother.

I think the most important part here, or at least the part that stands out to me, is the fact that this locker room did not splinter after the allegations of improper conduct and with all the media swirling around with the investigation. I think we attribute too much to coaching at times, but a really bad head coach would not have been able to hold this locker room together. See 2007. Cam Cameron was in over his head as a head coach, and he could not hold the locker room together through the adversity of that season.

Great stuff DJ. The coaching staff of this team is not the problem.

IMO, part of the difference was how the staffs were each assembled. Cam seemed to have a piecemeal staff. Not a lot whom he had a history with. Perhaps some had their own agendas.
Joe brought in a lot of his own guys whom he had a relationship with, especially in key positions. He only held over Rizzi, Rodgers, Campbell and Nixon, as I recall. Rizzi and Rodgers are top shelf at their respective jobs, and Campbell and Nixon are young up and comers at theirs. I'm guessing this staff has Joe's back, much more than Cam's staff had his back.

That was before Tannehill went all "killer" on Pittsburgh. Tannehill has "cred" with Omar now.

You mean like the week before the Pittsburgh game?

I don't have access to the Sun-Sentinel, but last week's Omar versus Tannehill article was titled:
    and it started,

But we won... so I love everyone. I love Omar. Heck, I even love Nick Saban.

You know C I've been trying to think this thru, there is that one angle of a team being motivated from within because of how their character was assassinated..I want to know that they love playing for their coach, not just because of a cause...but I feel like Philbin is just so pro professional, so organized, such hi morals, that maybe his ability to grind will endear him to his players??

    i know right..

You know what I think Meisterbrau, I think the development of Ryan Tannehill by these coaches has to be looked at closely if we finish 10 and 6, to not cave in to running Him early and giving him to much freedom, does not only go against what I believed that I wanted. but goes against the grain of what other coaches in the same situation did with theirs.

Will constricting him to the pocket pay off in the long run more than the luck, Wilson and Kaepernick's all inclusive type game....

Sherman...."he's GONNA be known as a pocket Qb before he's known for his legs"

    That's a pretty bad *** statement..

I love the way Luck, Kap, and Wilson play the game, and believe in all three, but I find myself fascinated to see if Sherman and Philbins philosophy pays off..Ryan does have the most pocket passing potential, but the game will come down to what style will win the pressure game, the pocket Qb, or the guy who can do both to a degree with that playmaking potential trait, getting you those key first downs.

The other thing I'm fascinated in seeing is when Ryan does feel like he's been broken of any bad habits to break the pocket unnecessarily , the legs actually become swifter because of it, and the running eventually creeps into the repertoire, making him eventually the dual threat that I always wanted with bonus pocket skills...

We'll see how it turns out and I hope all four get in so we can isolate a little bit more.

Does that make any sense at all?? Lol

Makes lots of sense. Passing from the pocket is Plan A. Running out of the pocket is Plan B. What is going to make Tannehill unusually good is that they have the third option of a Plan A-B, which will be combinations of Plan A and Plan B. But they have to get Plan A down first.

When Ryan took off on that read option, I can easily picture Mike Tomlin muttering: "Oh, s**t..."
