No...He's not saying that Champ...He's saying that he likes our chances against the Patriots on Sunday. Pulling guard duty like a champ must have clouded your ability to properly read something. Obviously Ryan Tannehill isn't quite on Tom Brady the fourteen year veterans level just yet. However five years from now when Tannehill is entering his prime, Tom Brady will be long gone... As for the game i'm really pumped....Went to CHAMPS today and bought a new Ryan Tannehill jersey...
Nobody is saying this is a chance to overtake the Patriots. This is just an important game for the Miami Dolphins if we want to make the playoffs. You came on our board blowing your Tom Brady dickbreathe all over us because we said we want to win on Sunday...As if its against the rules to root for your own team. As far as Baltimore being the only team that the Patriots have had trouble with...Did you not watch your beloved Pats getting beat by the Wild Card Giants in two consecutive super bowls? This happened...TWICE! The first time is was literally dubbed the greatest super bowl upset of all time! That has the Patriots name CEMENTED in history forever. The Jets have also beat you guys in the playoffs as has Peyton Manning and he'll do it again this year.
We need to whip this team tomorrow. With the guys they're rolling out there to catch passes, no way in hell should they beat us. I mean, they're gonna try to score on us by throwing to 2 slot WRs and a scatback. Please.
At the end of the day we still need to win the game. Trash talking has been fun and all but once the game starts it's either put up or shut up for Miami. I know mathematically it's not a must win game for us, but it's a hell of a way to make a statement by beating them. Aside from the Saints debacle we've have held our own with every playoff level team we have played this year so I have no doubt that this will be a tight game either way. I don't think I have ever been this stoked about a regular season game since the Pennington year. This really is an important game for both teams in my opinion. Obviously New England is sitting pretty right now record wise but they have a really old Quarterback and I think winning a couple more games is a must for them if they want the first week bye. For us I think its more of just taking the next step as far as getting better goes. If there is something here we will know for sure after Sundays game. I just hope we get this win and keep moving forward. Having Tom Brady (all jokes aside) come in and stomp on us in our building is really not the way to go. Although losing this game isn't going to break us from making the playoffs, it will still cause us to have to root for other teams to lose, and that is a position I hate being in. I'm in TN but the game will be on so again...I'm effin jacked about this! This is a game we can win and for Pats fans to come on here and disrespect the way they have shows major arrogance on their part.....You guys are sleeping on Miami and they are just not the team you want to do that too. We play the good teams tough and thats been proven this year. Colts, Bengals, Chargers, and even the mighty Jets (who beat New England) are all either playoff teams are in the hunt to make the playoffs. I'm hesitant to remove the Jets from that list but they did have wins against New Orleans, and New England and thats impressive in my opinion. We played Carolina right down to the last second of that game and we hung with New England on their field despite playing 11 on 12 the whole game. Baltimore was another down to the wire game that could have gone either way. Point is I don't see the Patriots coming in here and beating the brakes off of us. It's going to be an epic game.
Here's to seeing our team play hungry as **** and lay the pipe on them. Cannot remember the last time I was so pumped for a game.
While I mostly agree, it's still Tom Brady. You and I can go out there and catch a combined 10 passes for 170 yards and 2 touchdowns. (Of course, I'd have both of them ) But this is a statement game as I've said. We need to come out from the very beginning and prove we belong. Prove we are good enough. Prove we deserve to be in the dance this year. I expect our guys to come out firing.
Me neither d-caf I figure their gonna put Talib on Wallace all game, take their chances of Wallace trying to sync up with Ryan..Rishard Matthews needs to open up the middle from the slot..we need him real bad this week..he can do it.
For sure man, I see him blowing it up if it plays out that way. But we are going to have a lot of options. Matthews due ?
nightmares of Ellerbe single coverage on Vereene I think we got this one. Just got to get to Brady, none of that letting him stand in the pocket for 5 to 6 seconds. I could probably be HoF if I had the time to throw that he had :P
Talking trash with the opposing fans is all we can do. Philbin isn't going to let any of us play or coach.
Just win, no excuses. The pats are primed to lose....they needed a huge comeback to beat the Broncos at home....they squeak by the Texans on the road.....they needed an on-side kick and a hand-job from the refs to barely beat the browns at home. We win today, period.
