This guy is actually pretty good nickel corner. The whiners are so deep in that area and that is while its so hard for him to make the team, they are counting on him for next year though when one or both of their corners are free agent. Acorn, that's all I can say.

Probably a special teams replacement for R.J. Stanford if R.J. really did break his leg; I've not seen that confirmed anywhere yet.

well, he is on the active roster now , doesn´t bode well for clemons (he was a game time call last week), Patterson (gimpy and out the whole year), the rookies (will they finally show something ? )

The niners actually gave him a raise in his salary while he was on the squad, they told him they liked him and wanted to show him so so that he would keep working hard..

Clemons had 12 tackles last Sunday against the steelers, I think he's fine.

I think he might be a good investment, however we can't expect much more than ST play until he is comfortable with the defense.

Maybe if he excells he can play some basic coverages as well.

Now Patterson is placed on IR. Justin Rogers has replaced him on the roster. Don't know much about him.

He has been on the weekly injury report almost every week, with one nagging thing or another, but he is a gamer.
I hope we keep him even if we have to Franchise him.

I know that Jim Harbaugh recruited him, and that he's very smart, and he runs 4.4..and looks explosive in his three cone drill..and that he's an athlete that can play many different positions, watched some high school stuff where he was a joystick on offense, Qq, receiver, running back, returner..he's small , 5'10 185-190

Rogers actually saw some heavier playing time for Buffalo in 2012. IIRC, he played in a reserve and special teams role in both games against Miami last year. He was with Houston this year after he was picked up on waivers. Looks like a special teams guy/5th or 6th CB. He has had one INT in all three years of his career. He played 13 games for the Bills in 2011 and all 16 last year.

it's kinda funny... 4 weeks ago, this thread would have been littered with the following:

    "can he play left tackle?"

"I wonder if he can pass block"

"he's an upgrade to Tyson Clabo at right tackle"

my how a few games changes that?

Not to derail this , but since you opened up a door , albeit slightly :) does it tell you anything that the oline is better after Martin and Incognito are jettisoned? Two premium acquisitions , two players that Philbin supposedly told Ireland he wanted gone or replaced or placed in a far less significant role?

Things that make you go hmmmmm? ;)

It isn't Michael Thomas the dolphins need. It is Michael Johnson and a 3-4 base defense.

Our defense is giving up way too many points.

Vernon is a paper tiger and should be traded for an early 2nd round pick. Yah, really.

Greg Camarillo like on defense with that play. I don't think it would of been completed but still the interception and the corresponding middle fingers I made to Brady on the tv screen made it sweeter.

Not just the pick, but the play he made on Amendola when it looked a sure fire catch to me was as clutch as it gets.

That play may have been even bigger. The pick had it not been made was likely not going to get caught anyway. The WR was blanketed by the primary coverage. All in all, he was the hero of the final drive.
