I'm told Brent Grimes pulled his groin. Sat out the end of the game as a precaution. He will be fine.

And because it was so out of character I will give him the benefit of the doubt. It looked like he might have been out of position to make a sure tackle, knew it, and went for the strip instead. It didn't look good though.

Hello all, I'm new well sort of I usually visit here but never comment or anything... Just enjoy hearing other Dolphins fans bash tom brady and and enjoy a win... always a good time when that happens! Speaking of Brady being a cry baby and being "short" at the conference here is the link... well worth watch the full 31 seconds...

I'm about post 630... at halftime... some gems so far...

    yeah how'd that work out?

    who is Michael Thomas?

    truer words haven't been spoken

Gostkowski? You mean the one that's going to miss a field goal and kick the ball out of bounds on the KO in the 2nd half?

    :shifty:

    :pity:

    :pity:

 post of the first half

    wait till the 4th quarter...

    wait till the 4th quarter...

    look above

    always?

agreed. Wallace really kept us in it in the first half. Huge half. Not just the TD, but he made some plays that enabled us to switch field position which was huge.

    haha... had to byroan :

    ORLY?

ah yes, we should have gone for it there on 4th and 1 instead of kicking the field goal. Our coach is too conservative...:shifty:

    :shifty:

I wonder why we're calling timeouts here though? Maybe our coach has confidence in our offense to move the ball in the two minute offense? gasp

    ORLY

    hmmm

    :shifty:

    :shifty:

but why is he calling timeouts at the end of the first half? to give the Pats more time to score??

    hmmm

    hmmm

    hmmm

    heheh

    ORLY

    hmmm

hah tears are forming in my eyes from laughter

    yeppers

Phil Simms said in the 4th quarter that it was the loudest stadium they'd been in all year

for being "done" we're only down 10 to 7 at this point... brand new ball game thanks to the head coach having brass ones to call timeout and get the ball back... and thanks to the offense in supporting that decision. Huge catch by Rishard Matthews on third down. The underrated, understated play of the game, maybe the year.

Brady needs to get a grip. They'll probably end the season 12-4 and win the division. You can't win them all. I understand being disappointed, but answering two questions, uttering an obscenity and getting off the podium is classless.

I stand by my post about the field goal call in the first half. It was the wrong call then and the fact that we win doesn't change that now.

We also got more aggressive in the second half by going for it in 4th down. If they hadn't done that they would have lost.

If they had went for it in the first half they might have put the game away earlier.

Seriously, our fans were scared in the first half, I kept wishing for them to pick it up in the fourth, and they did..

We did it man..what an awesome feeling for this team to kick adversity *** and stay together like brothers...

Like I've been saying since Carolina, somethin changed and their were just signs from that game that made me feel like this run could happen..

Winning with Thomas and Jimmy on the corners and no Solai, for all of the fourth quarter, was just awesome to see.

Had a good feeling about getting the W today! I don't think I'm alone though hoping this nerve-wracking, till-the-last-play way of closing games out sees its end today! (that's surefire way to age people by several years ... and I ain't ready to turn that old yet!)

What happened to Grimes? If injury, minor or otherwise from the looks of it? He's needed.

  37. MrClean

    MrClean Inglourious Basterd Club Member

It wasn't the entire 4th quarter. I think Grimes went out on the Pats last TD drive. At that point, Davis was already playing RCB for Carroll. When Grimes went out, Davis moved to LCB, and Carroll came back in for a few plays. Then Wilson got moved to RCB, and Thomas to nickel back. Gawd, I was sweatin' seeing Davis up in press coverage on that last series.

He told Omar Kelly after the game it was just cramps, and he's gonna be ok. His actions at the time, indicated cramps. He was down on his right knee with his left leg extended, trying to stretch the left hammy or more likely the calf.

    ok then

    yep it will...

    We can all laugh now..

One of the biggest halftime adjustments... getting to Brady, We got to him here in the second half and was part of the reason we won.

I'm glad someone else noticed this. Something was definitely up on that play

But he's better than ours isn't he?

    hmmm

hehe... it's all funny in the end.

    indeed

special teams are apparently not his thing... however receiving the ball might be... maybe?

refs called a great game, i believe :shifty:

    right

this was on the Daniel Thomas touchdown pass. Amazing huh?

we know you didn't expect it.

    we almost did.

    third string corner.

he started out okay, but the second half, he was really playing soft.

    he's a rookie

at least he was making the tackles.

    hits hits hits!!

    truth and Patterson too remember.

yeah i was wondering this too. We really got soft with Ed and Am at the LOS, if we jam them, I wonder if we don't blow them out in the second half?

But Coach Bill is a hall of famer remember

    There... is... another... stand.. coming...

I agree. Huge at times. And I'll eat crow on this one, I was bagging on him early in the preseason.

hehe... but he's better than Sturgis recall...

    you don't trust Tannehill? ORLY

    Gone?

    Do we?

    no doubt

truth... it was a good call, going deep to Wallace... that ****er Jones (who had faked an injury earlier) got to Tannehill just as he was throwing it. I believe it affected his throw but I'm wearing a Tannehill jersey right now, so don't trust my word for it.

refs actually did a good job of just letting them play in this game... you'll see :shifty:

    Truth

Yep, again, not sure why we weren't pressing them.

    hehehe... :hi:

hahahahaha... the most randomest post of the day belongs to you.

JShady, you win the most vociferous award of the day. You really don't like the refs do you? How do you like them after we won?

That's an interesting point. Kind of agree with it in the end. Strange how going from 17 to 13 lead to 17 to 20 deficit affects the game and our offense. Now our offense MUST move the ball instead of SHOULD move the ball.

the one handed flag football attempt? putrid

    heheh

looks like he's a real quarterback

    pretty please?

yes, but Phil Simms thought we should have punted on fourth and five. Glad he's not our coach.

lucky? When that happens to the Pats, it's them forcing the opposition to make a mistake (kicking it out of bounds). When it happens to us, we're lucky?

    horrible refs... :shifty:

    is it?

truth... when it was third and forever on that last td drive, I also had mostly given up.

    quitter lol...

    how dare he?

    hehehehehehe...

just one play was all we needed

see this is where you totally redeemed yourself Rick, it was a good call... we knew they would blitz, they did and we threw the perfect play call at them to get the first down. it still grabbed me by the boo boo though lol...

    lucky again?

cmon, what game are you watching???

    who the Bears?

    waves....

    well...

    well...

so funny coming from you hehehe...

    damn right it is

    have faith!!

I actually wanted Thigpen to stop instead of run into the endzone. Stop and sit down at the one inch mark...

Tann and Philbin with the balls of glory!!

    yes

    no

    yes!!

    yes!

    we do... you are wise!!

true... coming right up.. not now, but later..

    haha...

    stop being positive

    yet we'll still win!!

injuries are a part of the game... who are we missing?

    That's right!

    !

    amazing!!

but how could Jeff Ireland do this to us?

    i know you can't

    just a guy

    hehehe

    truth!

it just might be, but we have to win one of our next two to secure it.

    ahhhhhhhhhhhh.... but he's too conservative!
