This thread is for heros only. Daniel Thomas....man..I don't want to judge, I don't know many of you, but I doubt many will go through what Daniel Thomas has gone through to play these games for US. US. Think about that. Mike Wallace...made the plays he needed to make..when asked to make them. Mike Pouncey....that is TWO games in a row where he plays like the best Offensive Lineman in the NFL. You read that correctly. Rishard Matthews.....what a catch...when needed the most...What a find....Brandon Gibson is not missed because of this guy... Bryant McKinnie...had some rough moments in this game...but his consistency and steadiness has made this win streak possible. Now..for two guys... Chris Clemons and Reshad Jones...their communication was key to not having a monumental breakdown on the last drive...and thus allowing the win... TWO MORE! Ryom Tannebrady.....this is it. We found him. AT LAST. Our long local nightmare is over. AND... Michael Thomas? What a picture...check this out: Michael Thomas crying on the field after his interception.
Its one thing for a team to say "We like you, we want you in our future, here is a raise to your practice squad salary". Its another thing to have a team sign you, actually get to play, and seal the game for them in your first week.
Lots of positives , that 4th down play , 17 had to adjust his throw , and Sims needed to make a great block and CC had to make another make them miss play this week. He did and we scored , he doesn't we lose. Huge play with good to great efforts and adjustments by several players.
I saw him crying after the game and it nearly brought me to tears. You can't have a better moment than that. Hollywood couldn't write that script. I'm happy for him. I'm happy for us. Tannehill, yeah, the wait is over. 13 long years and 17 QBs later, but we have found the one. Now, keep it up and get to the playoffs!
I got emotional as well watching him afterwards. Guy didn't know the playbook but made plays when it mattered. Hope he's here for awhile. Sent from my Galaxy S3 using Tapatalk
By the way, I googled "Michael Thomas" and one of the first people that came up was "Michael Thomas (Nazi hunter)" The kid can do it all.
Michael Thomas' situation is why we watch sports. Imagine the feeling and emotion inside him when he picked that pass from brady. Imagine his family watching at home. **** that had to feel good.
That's great man. What an awesome story this is turning out to be. I saw an interview on NFLNetwork that Thomas made just after the game still standing on the field, the kid was speechless with joy. Just awesome.
Rick Ross hit up Michael Thomas on Twitter and asked him to contact him, so he can send him a case of Belaire Rose'. LOL You know the Miami Heat are gonna give him courtside seats to the next game right? This guy is bigger than the Beatles.
So uhm, Marcus Thigpen scores the GW TD on a helluva play, and he gets no mention in a Hero thread? C'mon man
Fair enough...but he needs to get his return game up..if we want to threaten the second round of the playoffs...... YEAH..I SAID IT.
No it is not. Thigpen is the worst returner we ever had and we have never had a great return unit. I have never seen a returner run when he should not and not run when he should to a fault, and Thigpen does that. He blows. He is consistently a liability at his primary job and hurts the team 100% of the time.
Thigpen is fine returning as long as he only needs to run in a straight line. I'd honestly be looking for an upgrade this offseason. He isn't breaking any big returns anytime doon without perfect blocking, he has no lateral quickness this season for whatever reason.
Well, Sect there are folks who study every position I study 2 things, pass rushing, and special teams Thiggy's talent is not of the Devin Hester stripe, he sort of saves up for key returns Keep in mind, we were out past the 30 when the ref's flagged the return, there are guys who rack up numbers, then there are guys who make key plays happen
Too bad you didn't mention how Tannehill choked that throw and how Thigpen bailed him out with a quick adjustment, an acrobatic catch, and one heck of a speedy burst to make the score. If we're going to play favorites in the "Hero Thread", then let's at least tell the truth.
Great play by Thiggy. Great adjustment to the ball. Big play. Still not a fan of his. His decision making on returns scares me. I'd much rather have a solid returner who makes good decisions as opposed to an explosive returner, but he's rarely explosive.
1) That would be Lamont Brightful. 2) Welker was a good returner when he was here, Bess was a decent PR. Jeff Ogden wasn't bad.
Wish the entire forum could give this baller one big *** group hug. cept TooGoodForDez. don't want that pissy whiner anywhere near a group hug.
That is idiotic. You may not like him or can want him replaced and upgraded , to say he hurts the team 100% of the time is not even close to being accurate. He has had some big returns , including touchdowns as we all know . I will say I think his performance has been trending down and that can't continue imo. He did finish the TD and that counts .
most important play of the game IMO. Play shouldve been blown up but the individual efforts saved us from disaster
Wait til you see the clip on the sideline..he was on the bench with ballin and the whole team was over there huggin him.
I would add Clay to the list of heros for his phenominal effort to convert on 4th down off a horrible play call. He saved that drive.
