If it's even possible, 17's play is making Omar even more obsolete.

Ryan Tannehill, quarterback, Miami. Looked like more of the same seven-game losing streak to New England when the Pats broke out to a 10-0 lead in South Florida. But Tannehill (25-37, 312 yards, three touchdowns, no picks, 120.6 rating) led Miami on scoring drives of 82, 48, 66 and 60 yards in the last 33 minutes of the game, completing a 14-yard dart to Marcus Thigpen for what proved to be the game-winner. That’s seven straight games with a completion percentage of at least 60 for Tannehill, who outdueled Tom Brady when it mattered most.

    10. Miami (8-6). Ryan Tannehill looks more like the 12-year fix for the Dolphins every Sunday.

Miami ran plays to see how the Patriots would react , they found out and kept being productive. The calls were in the game plan and 17 would have taken the run option if the defense gave him that at the right time imo . Roll outs , yeah I would like to see a few more , with some well designed routes from them .

Im not really sold on that. You can tell from the snap if you are handing off or keeping. Once you hand off there is no reason to continue through the play.

I guess this is probably correct on the read option..

The lack of rollouts to either direction is bothersome to me even though we're winning , and I would like Ryan to consciously find a lane and run, like knowing he's gonna run before he drops, I think there should be some plays in the scheme that are designed for that very purpose..

How are you differentiating between a "fake read option" and a read option where the QB gives the ball off to the RB?

You don't think it can be some decoy look to run a traditional handoff?

I can see showing the look to see how their gonna defend but committing to a real read option play is what I'm talking about, my point is that they are showing the look but aren't committed to both options, just the handoff.

Tell me about it, I'm 61 but am sure I was only 40 before the last two games!

Tannehill my not be a Killer QB quite yet (at least not for a full 60 minutes in a game yet), but for only being in his 2nd season, he's looking like he can be, especially when we put an OL in front of him and get a running game for the guy.

I hear ya Deej, but remember the Pats are extremely disciplined to spot that type of play, it likely will work far better against other defenses not coached by Bellichick INHO.

11th. In every other metric they rank much farther back. PFF rates then 20th overall, and the 2nd worst pass rush.
Outside of them being coached by Belichick, there is little reason to fear the current Pats defense.

They're allowing 22.2 points per game average. We got 24. Right at their average basically

There is an ugly truth in that Rafi, since the OL shakeup THill has played a helluva alot better.

Who could have known merely adding McKinnie and Garner/Brenner would have such a positive impact, but to me, it is undeniable

What is their average if you subtract the Broncos game if you know? I'd imagine fairly lower.
