Go to the link to play through all the scenarios.

Dolphins control their own destiny. They win 5 straight December games, and they are in.
I believe that a Ravens win tonight will clinch a playoff spot for New England.

Wild card control: The Dolphins now control whether they will get the final wild card spot in the AFC. The simplest formula for Miami is to win its final two games to finish 10-6. Its that simple, just win these last two and they are in. No worse than #6 seed, and possibly as high as #2 seed with bye.

If the Baltimore Ravens (7-6) also run the table, they will forge a three-way tie with Miami and the Cincinnati Bengals (9-5), who play the Ravens in the regular-season final. In that scenario, the Ravens will be the AFC North champions, the Dolphins get the wild card and the Bengals are out.

Miami also can get in by winning the final two weeks and Baltimore losing at least one of its final three games.

yes the Bengals loss last night was huge. We no longer need any help. We just need to win the last two games.

Now if somehow NE lost their last too and we won the division? that would be a dream come true!

No, NBC will have an AFC and NFC game on Saturday. CBS will have an AFC game on Sunday, FOX will have an NFC game on Sunday.

NO if Cinci loses next week, but beats the Ravens in week 17 then we would also need the Pats to beat the Ravens in week 16 too.So we win, Cinci loses and Pats win, we are in. So says ESPN Playoff machine!

I think I was counting a Ravens lost last night, which obviously never happened.

If we win and Bengals lose, do I root for a Patriots victory? It feels wrong, but I probably will.

The only reason to root against the Ravens at this point is if we lose a game.

If we win and the Bengals lose, there's got to be consideration given to rooting for a Ravens loss. That would clinch the six seed next week.

The flip side is it would remove the possibility of winning the division.

All things considered I'd take the guaranteed 6 seed in week 16. I don't see the Patriots losing to the Bills in week 17.

True there, but we need to take care of business and beat the Bills and the Jets. We do that and we are in the playoffs.

I believe so, because then our best possible record would be 9-7. If the Ravens lose vs Bengals, they also go to 9-7 but with the tiebreaker over us, and if the Bengals lose, they get to 10-6 and take the wildcard spot.

Not if in week 17 we win, the bengals beat the ravens and the chargers beat the chiefs (and win week 16), we still get in at 9-7. We win the three way tie with Baltimore (9-7) and Chargers (9-7)

Wait, there is one caveat to that though. The Chargers are 7-7 right now, if they win their last two, they'd also get to 9-7, and in that case we'd need the Bengals to beat the Ravens and drop them to 9-7 and force a three-way tie. In that case we'd get in because of our conference record.

Dolphins just need to win last two and control their own destiny for no worse than #6 seed that way. With 10 wins, we still have shot at #2 seed and bye , and also shot at #3 seed w/AFCE title too with home playoff game.

    [h=3]Looking ahead to Week 16[/h]
New England Patriots at Baltimore Ravens: Suddenly a game with massive implications in the AFC.
Oakland Raiders at San Diego Chargers: San Diego, you have our attention.
Indianapolis Colts at Kansas City Chiefs: Chatter about Indy earning a bye likely to be reduced to utter nonsense by Sunday night.
Denver Broncos at Houston Texans: Denver's wiggle room in the division has shriveled up, but the Texans won't put up much of a fight.
Miami Dolphins at Buffalo Bills: Buffalo's a tough out at home, and their defense is legit. Not a gimme for Miami.
Minnesota Vikings at Cincinnati Bengals: Lose this one, and Cincy's in boiling hot water.
