It is what it is. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap20...hie-incognito-not-activated-by-miami-dolphins
It hasn't gone away yet has it?? News Flash: It isn't going to go away. The NFL is going to make rules changes and the Dolphins are going to be on," double secret probation." It is going to have a profound effect on player personnel going forward. The Dolphins will be very, very careful about who they bring in to their locker room in the future, especially when it is a possible leader type player.
I don't think Incognito is a bad player. He's a bad person, and he doesn't fit the scheme so the team is more free to act morally and let him sit on the bench than I think they would in other situations.
Nutcase. Always been; always will be. Better in the long run to let Brenner focus and grow into the position. No distractions. And Martin is still a wussy regardless.
I never will understand this. The guy played professional football, he catches and redirects 250+ pound uberathletes with his bare hands on national television. He could be unable to make eye contact with another human being and wet the bed relentlessly and he'd be more manly than 99% of this board.
Hard to agree with that, Dis. The man threw a tantrum, picked up his bat and ball, went home, and told tales out of school. I don't care if he's Superman. Physicality has nothing to do with it. He got into a situation that he mentally couldn't handle and gave up, leaving his team in the lurch and saying things publicly that damaged his team. So much for all the philosophy. That's not a teammate and that's not a professional.
I don't think the question is his physical cababilities, it's how he handled, or how he had his family handle his business. He has done nothing to make anyone think he can handle his own business.
Does anyone know what the (small sample size) metrics for linemen are for Brenner right now? I guess, what I'm asking is, will he be good enough to pencil in as your starter next year? Ever since the Martin/Incognito scandal, a lot of people have been saying we need four new starters on the line. Is that the case or does a guy like Brenner alleviate that?
I wonder if Richie picks up his game checks from the facility, gets it direct deposited, or has it mailed to him. Hmmm
