Watching the Lions end the game with 3 timeouts and knowing full well that the Raven kicker is having a historic run makes me realize how great Philbin has been with clock management.

Watching Matt Stafford blow chunks makes me realize how lucky we are to have Tannehill.

Watching the Cowboys do everything in their power to lose with an unbalanced game plan and poor QB play makes me respect both Philbin and Tannehill even more.

I know this Detroit loss stings.. But good teams like the Dolphins and Ravens take advantage. We will be playing in Baltimore round 1. Book it. The Bungles are just as soft and NE is going down next week in Baltimore.

No backing in to the playoffs this year fellas. I think we have the leadership at the top and at the QB position to put us in position to win against inferior competition.

I think when you watch other teams play, you realize that Tannehill is a really good NFL quarterback in only his sophomore year.

The haters are losing momentum with every passing week. Especially in comparison to the rest of the league. Imagine if we were talking about bringing Matt Cassell back? Or dealing with back breaking penalities week in and week out?

Say what you will about Miami, but they are a disciplined bunch and we now have a QB that can make up for our lack of talent.

One thing to note. It's NOT a coincidence that Tannehill leads the league in scoring drives at the end of the half.

You have to give a lot of the credit to Philbin for strategically using timeouts to give us a chance at the end of the half or at the end of the game. Brilliant strategies by coach Philbin which have probably directly resulted in at least 2, possibly three additional victories this year.

Aside from that, he has no feel for the game. Stafford feels the need to throw 30 yards down the field every third and short for some reason. Detroit has made a huge mistake being saddled to him. Id honestly explore trade options.

If we had Detroit's other ten offensive players minus the QB, but with Tannehill, on the Dolphins, we'd be almost unbeatable. They are poorly coached, and Stafford is inconsistent and takes too many chances.

I'd wouldn't mind playing Baltimore in the first round at all. It took two complete bull**** PI penalties for them to beat us earlier this year. And I think this team is a playing a lot better than it was in week 5

When was the last time the Patriots had a 9 game stretch where 7 of those games were one possession games, and their record in those games is 4-3?

In Ryan's last 6 games, he has posted a 93.9 quarterback rating, 7.11 yards per attempt, and has 12 TDs to 5 INTs along with 1,650 yards passing with a 65% completion percentage.

In December, Ryan has posted a 103.2 quarterback rating, 7.46 yards per attempt, and has 8 TDs to 2 INTs along with 843 yards passing with a 65% completion percentage.

If he keeps this up through next year, we are looking at a $100 million PLUS extension easily with probably at least $40 million guaranteed.

...if for no other reason than Mike Wallace's contract will be off the books by that time.

Watching Calvin Johnson drop two easy crucial catches makes you glad you have Wallace instead? :D

The level of talent the Lions have is remarkable. They have two equally capable backs, Bush and Joique Bell. Calvin. Those 3 alone on this team would make us contenders (if we could block for them).

Coaching. A new coaching staff could teach that old dog new tricks.

Disciplined team always tends to win in the end, we see that with the Pat's due to Brady but majority of that belongs to Belicheat.

Lions should or could of won that game if their coach had better time management no doubt but they are still very undisciplined. A good and more disciplined coach would of pulled a win out of that I'm sure.

Philbin is starting to grow on me but I still think he's just a stepping stone or foundation type of coach. Then again he could prove me wrong. I still think we need a coach that can bring out the best in our players and their talent. Plus, I still think Philbin & Co isn't using some of our players to their best abilities and being stubborn on it. At first, I thought the coaching staff was wrong in holding back TH but I'm starting to see their reasons why on doing it. While, Stafford is very talented and has tons of potential, he always makes the same mistakes. A better coach could probably cut down those mistakes. With that said, I'm willing to give Philbin and company more time but I still think we are going to need a different coach to bring out the best in our players. Also, still think our OL coach needs to be fired at the end of the season.

So all in all, I was wrong about Philbin and hopefully, we can continue our win streak to get into the playoffs. I'm ok with Philbin as long as he shows us that the team is continuing to improve and not show us what we saw in the first half, especially what we saw against the Bucs.

When was the last time what a team did in previous seasons with an entirely different roster mattered in the current?

I don't really care when the last time they lost two in a row was (Last year btw) or three in a row. I care what happens this year. Will they lose to Buffalo? Probably not, but not because of some Patriot aura but because the Bills are mediocre.

Patriots should be on a 2 game losing streak now if not for their typical sheer luck and officials.

If you really want to look at it...the Pats have lost two in a row. They got beat by Cleveland..but were gifted a win by the refs.
