Everyone recognizes you feel like Mike and his contract are a mistake, but as far as the contract goes?? It's past tense, and extremely moot at this point.

The key is the O-line, said it before the season, we go as far as the o-line performs. 8-6 pretty much shows how the o-line has performed. No quick fixes but our skill players are right there.

ON the final drive of the half, on 3rd and 10 with 1:23 remaining the soft arching throw to Matthews was a thing of beauty; and that really set in motion the remainder of the game....

....then on same drive, after missing Hartline with similar soft arching throw, on 2nd and 10 near midfield, the pressure scramble to the right where Tannehill hit M. Moore on the sidelines, combined with just a few plays later the Wallace In-route for YAC & TD are the 3 amazing passes that gave us life.

What Joe Philbin had with the Packers is my standard for WR play. With Rishard, he reminds me a lot of James Jones. Similar body types, strong, physical receivers with strong hands. Now, Miami just needs to find their Greg Jennings and Jordy Nelson, and we will be set at WR.

I'm pretty sure I know who's picture we will find if we google "beating a dead horse"

Which is sad because KB is better than this anf has more to offer than the redundant Wallace stuff.

If other folks want to talk good about Wallace, then I have the right to talk about how piss poor of a signing he was. Everything I have said about Wallace, even before the signing, was correct. Poor route runner, doesn't fight for the ball, doesn't run out every route, has poor tracking ability. Yet, we are going to give this guy $60 million.

I see Miller as an Andre Ellington type (except Andre has more moves IMO). Miller has decent size but is not tough, his one downfall IMO. He goes down really really easy.

People were sucking off Daniel Thomas last week but then he reverted back to his 3 ypc :D Of course DT had limited chances and one big run can bring that average up, but DT is a 3 ypc back and has always been.

I'd like to see Miller with good run blocking though. I think he can be really productive.

He reminds me of Willie Parker. Parker was damn good for a few years. And I think Miller is a better receiver than Parker was. I have no knowledge or memory of Parker as a pass blocker. He's not a great tackle breaker but can be effective if given some room to run.

The fact that Wallace's presence keeps Matthews from playing the position he should be playing is very relevant.

And very stupid. Mike Wallace is a lot better than Matthews, and Rishard is pretty good.

Eh, the difference between the two is pretty big in the context of other wide receivers. Matthews is good in context, but he's not really productive enough to be a heavy contributor at this point either.

Sucking off Daniel Thomas? Exaggerating much?

He's having a nice season. His YPC is higher than Miller's. He also has 6 touchdowns.

Just a joke buddy, see the laugh. Thomas has TDs because they give him the ball near the red zone. Same as the Chargers re: Woodhead and Ryan Mathews even when Mathews is killing it running down the field. Coaches do what they do. Thomas had a great game last week with a 6.6 ypc. Let's see what it is at the end of the year. At the end of the day our running game is not working well. But I've seen more from Miller than Thomas

From what I see, he's converting well on his opportunities. Could be wrong.

I think the running game is playing well, personally. I don't think the coaching staff is handling it well, though. It goes back to Sherman saying Philbin doesn't like to run the ball.

But our blocking was atrocious. We gained what, 18 yards the other week and 16 were after contact? Tells you all you need to know.

I never saw anything from Binns that would make me feel him in the context your suggesting, regular season or preseason, especially since I've seen Rishard Matthews do things on an NFL field that impressed the hell out of me...

He's very strong in his body and hands, he's tough as hell, he runs good routes, he's dedicated to his craft, he's got good size, and he's got the best hands on the team.

I agree, there's more talent to work with, Gibby is a gamer though, and I know you know that, but were gonna have to make tough decisions, and making Rishard Matthews our #3 does not hurt our team so if we can save money doing it, we gotta do what we gotta do..

Think about this..if you had to choose, Gibsons production next year coming off serious injury, or Rishards long term potential and current production, who you got?

    I know who I got.

no matter the emergence of rishard matthews, brandon gibson should be a keeper, he will also be fully ready to go by OTA's with that patella tendon injury

why do some fans think that we have too many good players. we can never have too many wide receivers . there is no reason why we cant stock up at tightend and wr both .

There is a limit to the amount of offensive weapons you can use efficiently, but I don't think Miami is there yet.

    Yup and 3 at $100M (Wallace = 5/60M; Hartline = 5/30.7M; and Gibson 3/9.7M)

    and

    Matthews = 4/2.1M and Binns = 3/1.2M

Yup by NFL rule not until rookie contract is completed. 4/12.6M (FA = 2016).

Heck, same with Seattle and Russel Wilson, he is stone cold cheap right now at only $500K for them. Same thing, they have to wait and get to benefit in the meantime. I dont think legally you can even redo rookie contracts early, even if you wanted to from FO standpoint, per CBA.

Surprising, considering how reliable and sure-handed he was when with us. I'm sure having three different QB's throwing to him hasn't helped. I still like Bess, I hope he has a long career in the NFL...but I still think it was the right move to make to move on from him, Gibson and Matthews offer more upside in the long run IMO.

The problem with Sherman is the impact that his lack of ability to identify talent has on the salary cap.
If Matthews was developed quicker Gibson may not have been signed, therefore savings are lost 4/2.1M vs Gibson 3/9.7M
This affects the decisions Ireland has to make and of course with cap limitations the team suffers.
I can't believe Sherman would make a judgement on a guys look but a see it often in business its the tall blonde guy the chosen one even thou he has an IQ 2 points lower than a stick.
