He's not stupid per se, but he's certainly got a reputation of being lazy and having bad judgement. I'd be shocked if any team has surrendered as many multiple score leads as the Dolphins.
I think the image on him was "out partying til 2am every night" vs working on football. Plus, let's not act like hanging in strip clubs and chasing girls has never gotten a football player in trouble (big ben, Pac man). All that said, as long as laws are abided and respect for others is given, agreed - play well and it's all good - run a train on 5 midgets for all i care. McKinney = less sacks = good.
We've had two multiple score leads blown. Hell Denver off the top of my head has one against NE far worse than what we've blown.
We've had five. It's true the Cowboys had six, which I haven't noticed, but that coaching staff will almost certainly be (rightfully) blown out at years end.
We have not had 5 leads of multiple scores blown. I am pretty sure it's only New England and Carolina.
Being up by 10+ points and then later falling behind(generally very quickly) is blowing a lead, even if you end up winning the game.
No, I know what you mean. Going back looking through games play by play, we did have more than 2. I was wrong there. However, my point still stands. This is the norm around the NFL. I'm not sure where Miami would rank but I don't think we would be far ahead of anyone else.
You sure love to keep saying Coyle is "in over his head" Yet, our defense is top 10 in scoring, has forced at least one turnover in every single game and is a top 5 pass rushing team and has had really good secondary play all year long.. So, I don't know why you feel that way. At all.
McKinnie averages at or near a sack per game. Considering he gets minimal help, this is a good thing. We need to solidify the RT position with a player who can win one on one match-ups. This will make the offense far more dynamic.
I don't really care what the numbers say. His substitution patterns suck, we play FAR too much zone and we blow leads like it's going out of style.
The defense is top 10 in scoring. What else do you want? I don't understand your line of thinking. No, they're not perfect but the whole point is to keep the other team from scoring, and when it comes to that they're one of the better teams in the league.
Awful how? He has been playing great for Baltimore actually. McKinnie upgraded our line, but Monroe would have upgraded it even more.
What is this based on? PFF has given Monroe an overwhelmingly positive grade for his time in Baltimore. His pass block efficiency for the time he's spent in Baltimore is 5th best in the NFL. Bryant McKinnie's is 45th out of 58.
Thank God McKinnie is here, but that stat along with the fact the line play has greatly improved since his arrival goes to show how God-awful things were with Martin on the Left. McKinnie grades out 45 out of 58 and is a major improvement!
I think that this thinking originated from MNF when Grudrn pretty much trashed the Ravens oline. I came away thinking wow has Monroe really been that bad?? I didn't research it or anything tho because I didn't care all that much.
I'm not why that doesn't count as blowing a lead, especially when in the cases I'm describing they ended up behind in score after that point, so it's generally 13-17 point swings. I threw a 10 point differential in a win % calculator, and I can't get up below 75% no matter what I do.
