Well, if he did, that would change things. However, Don has never mentioned Jeff Ireland. We know Don likes to be around good people, and considering that Jeff is a prick, then I find it unlikely that Don would support him. I don't think Don ever really liked the way Bill Parcells went about his business.
He also said So is that an endorsement of Sherman? Not sure Shula should talk about assistance coaches as it was his reluctance to fire his staff that ultimately got him fired.
don shula...most overrated coach of all time...not able to get dan his ring, because he had no clue how defense works lol...tom olivadotti....its getting even worse, coach shula throwing himself under the bus
Yeah. Defensive back in college. Back to back Super Bowls with something called the No Name Defense. No clue at all. Olivadotti? Studley? Not good.
Went to 3 straight Super Bowls, and if not for the Sea of Hands game would have been to a 4th to play the same Vikings team they pummelled in the previous Super Bowl. Put The Dolphins on the map
yeah like that wasn't mostly dan on the field, its like phil jackson...he had michael jordan , shaquille o neal and kobe bryant...you do the math
I put him top 3 myself...Bill Walsh is the all-time best IMHO, and I HATE the Forty-Niners, especially being a Dolphin Fan from the Bay Area.
Halas Brown Lombardi Walsh Shula You can argue about the order, but you can't argue about any of them belonging on the list.
I can understand the frustration during the Marino years. A top 10 defense or any running game would have done wonders. But over rated...you lost me on that one.
Wait, so you're saying that Ireland is a dick? Interesting. Sent from my LG-MS770 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
You are lucky its Friday and its snowing here. Any other day I run you over with The Don's golf cart.
I've felt the same way since the 49ers beat us back in the day. From elementary, Jr High, high school & college and whenever my cousin brings it up that the 49ers beat the Dolphins in the Super Bowl. **** never gets old for them 49ers fan.
2 losing seasons in 26 years in Miami. Two. And he still won with guys like David Woodley and Don Strock at QB
Yeah, all Dan. That's why he went to the SB with 4 different QBs. And went undefeated with a backup playing 3/4 of the season. And had 2 losing seasons in 33 years.
Bet you Philbin is a big fan of Shula, too. Seriously. How can you not admire the man? It's like not admiring Lombardi.
Don Shula had his faults when it came to the Marino era but lets not sit here and pretend like Dan Marino didn't have anything to do with him not getting a ring as well ok?
