Im not completely blaming our coaches at all. I'm just saying I don't see how 99% of the fan base completely blames Ireland while the coaches get a free pass. Especially when before the season not many people thought our Oline would be so bad.

Also, just bc we have a better record than other teams, doesn't mean their mistakes our similar. That's poor logic. I think Philbin n co. are fairly good but have a few shortcomings at the moment. One is being slow to adjust with the examples I mentioned (and they are still issues) and many more examples. Obviously, other teams may have a worse record for completely different issues. I'm glad that the main issue most people see with our coaches is something fairly easy to fix, but that doesn't mean I can't blame them for some losses this season. I'm not calling for them to be fired.

Worst OL in team history...i agree, let's let the guy who's spent 6 years "building" this unit attempt to completely revamp it this offseason!

I honestly can't even think of a stupider idea.

Even if we win this and make the play-offs this OL should be a fireable offence.

Don't forget about Philip Wheeler. Did a fantastic job there. Our run D has gone down the tubes because of Ireland. The terrible O-Line killed our season. A terrible O-Line that has had hundreds of millions spent on it over the last few years, plus numerous high draft picks.

A mediocre team might luck their way into the playoffs at 9-7 during a bad year for the AFC and get blown out in the first round. yay. Let's show him some more love by extending him a few more years because they eeked out their Super Bowl win against the Patriots at home last week, so we're basically the 2009-2011 Jets. I'm betting we finish 8-8 and in 3rd place though.

He can't build an O-Line, we'll never be a true success with him. You NEED an O-Line.

Look, losing to Buffalo in a close one in Buffalo isn't very alarming, they aren't THAT bad. But this game is a wake up call. Our oline is one of the worst ever and our LB core...a highly paid one put together in the offseason....is horrible. Oh and our Rbs are backup quality. And this is after years of drafts and offseasons by Ireland. Hopefully some kind of miracle happens in this game or its a clear indictment of Ireland and the front office.

Losing to Buffalo with their backup QB and your own playoff destiny in your own hands is bad no matter how you slice it. The Bills are definitely no slouches, but if we are a true playoff team we go in and take care of an injured Buffalo team (with a backup QB, and missing 3 WRs for most of the game).

Losing to Buffalo in this fashion is just inexcusable and beyond embarrassing. With 2:23 left in the 4th, we have 100 yards of total offense. Let that sink in.

Ireland has been around for 5 years, we have ZERO RBs, we have ZERO OLinemen outside of Pouncey, we have ZERO LBs worth a damn, and our coaching is pathetic/piss poor. How do you still keep your job? Baffling.

That may have been the worst offensive performance in Dolphins history. I'm not sure I'll count the 3-0 loss to Pitt in 2007 in a monsoon where Pitt barely did anything on offense as well.

Jeff's gameplan included assembling one of the worst OL's in the NFL, which is completely ineffective running the ball and will likely give up 60 sacks. He spent 3 out of our first 4 draft picks on defensive players all the while our defense has managed to regress since last year. I won't even touch on the 2 garbage LB'ers he brought in.

I'd say after 6 seasons, we need to move in a different direction.

Hahaha this thread is so classic Dolphins fans....and classic me.

Trust me. I was the same guy. All the belief and optimism in the world.

Tannehill is the guy. Philbin COTY. Ireland getting live.

Listen. They all have stink attached to them at times. We have nothing. Absolutely NOTHING set in stone right now.

Without playoffs, this season is a complete failure.

I'd like to see some turnover on the coaching staff but I think Philbin is actually in a bad spot with this team talentwise. Honestly I don't know how anyone can look at our talent and think we actually have a good team. We would have been playing and coaching well above the talent level if we could have won 10 games.

I disagree. i was the opposite, iw as negative when we won as well because I KNEW as a realist that this team was a disaster still. I don't have aqua glasses just because I am a fan, I have reality in my vision and this team is a disaster. EVERYTHINg that was an issue 10 weeks ago is still an issue and I am not talking about the OLINE. I mean the coaching, the play calling, doing the pistol run hand off to the RB instead of having RT tuck it away when the entire right side is open but this team is so adamant that RT will not be allowed to run the ball.

So damn stubborn and blind they all deserve to get fired. As fans, none of us deserve this but those that allow it by believing and having faith instead of accepting reality and constantly funding this team with attendance and TV views deserve this. Things won't change until Ross CONTINUES to lose MONEY.

WHY THE FLYING **** DO YOU HAND THE BALL OFF TO THOMAS ON 3RD AND INCHES WHEN YOUR AVG. PER RUN IN THE GAME IS .6 YARDS A CARRY INSTEAD OF A QB SNEAK? PLEASE EXPLAIN THIS TO ME AND I WILL SAY THE COACH HAS SOME BRAINS IN THAT **** FILLED HEAD OF HIS MAKING MILLIONS OF DOLLARS WHILE MAJORITY OF US IN THIS DAMN ECONOMY STILL CAN'T GET A JOB WORTH A DAMN.

So to put this topic to rest, they're both culpable. The coaching staff has put together a game plan today that read, "Slam head into wall repeatedly." Meanwhile Jeff Ireland has assembled the worst offensive line in franchise history, that has or will surpass the sacks allowed for one season record. Also, outside of Cameron Wake every other week, we have nobody on the team that can take over a ball game. No one on this team can be successful despite the opponent's plan to erase them from the game plan. Here in Dolphin-land, when a team schemes to erase a player from a game it most likely is going to happen the way they want it to.

INVID, that is exactly what the game plan was.

run into the wall on 1st down, gain 1-2 yards, throw on 2nd because now its obvious, get sacked, now its 3rd and 10+ and punt.

I kid you not, we did that 8 times in this game. best part, down 10, 2 minute warning approach, its 2nd and 8 already, quick quick hurry up snap the ball and run to the shoulder with thomas for -1 yard just so we get 1 more play in before the 2 min. warning.

    this team has talent.

How it is now Jeff's job to game plan also.

This was absolutely one of the worse prepared Dolphin teams I have ever seen. No adjustments, no roll out's, no screen's, etc.

Still not sure how this falls on Ireland. Surely no one is suggesting he had something to do with the line falling apart. Seems like maybe we might need to look at another line coach, maybe It's time to replace Turner. He came here with absolutely no NFL expierience. Geez at least promote Mosley then. ****, do soemthing.

The term game plan can be used in a lot of situations. It doesn't always mean a plan for an actual game. GM's come up with a gameplan on how they are going to address their roster in the offseason. I come up with a gameplan on how I am going to approach my business for the week(I don't actually coach or play in a game).

There is talent on this roster. There are also glaring weaknesses at OL, RB and LB.

I wasn't happy about the gameplan either and really dislike Sherman.

At the same time, I figured we'd lose this game because it's a bad match up for this roster. They have a dominant DL with a great pass rush and we have a horrible OL that really isn't effective at much. It's usually a matter of will the hemorrhage be slow enough to allow this team to win.
