lol Ok so we just won't put any blame on players, coaching, or performance. Got it. No more personal accountability for anyone in the nfl except for GMs.
So amazing to go from such excitement and pride last two weeks to the low feeling of gut wrenching pain today. I can't even stand the inconsistency.
Amen. Yet some are happy with that loss because MAYBE someone will be fired. I guess that's more important to them than playing in the playoffs.
Absolutely. How the heck do you come out so flat and play so little emotion with playoffs on the line? Beyond me.
You have a great Christmas also. Give me a few more minutes and I be over this game. Because after the last decade, I have certainly gotten used to performances like today's by the Dolphins.
When was the last time Miami has gone into Buffalo, or even New England for that matter, in December with a must win game, and took care of business? I'd guess it's been since the 1980s.
i dont even know who to blame we had 0 fight today we got straight punked but coaching staff is lame if u ask me
You guys realize there are plays you can run against an attacking, blitzing D? You realize we didn't run a single one? There's no coaching excuse for being shut out by this bad Bills team. Maybe we still would have lost due to their DLine, but to get shut out, amass almost no yards, not throw a single screen, it roll out, not adjust at all. I mean wtf, really? You just drop back over and over and over, that's he game plan?
It will also probably be the last game I will ever attend in Miami. So I will be there rooting on the Dolphins and hoping after 47 years attending Dolphin games, I will get to see them win in my final home game I will attend. A win over the Jets will only enhance how great a win would be next week.
Yeah, in 2000, ended the season with a win @New England. In 2001, ended the season with a home win against Buffalo. The first thing I always check when the new schedules come out is when we play @Buffalo and @New England. I wish we would have gotten out of the AFC East when we had the chance. I hate watching games played up there in miserable conditions. Miami should be in a Division with Tampa Bay, Jacksonville, and Atlanta, IMO.
Blame Huizenga for this, the NFL wanted to put Miami in the AFC South with Houston, Tennessee, Jacksonville, but Huizenga threw a hissyfit and the NFL backed down.
OK people. We lost. We were embarrassed. Get over it, because here's what happens next. The Patsies come out with fire in their eyes and bury Baltimore. The Chargers beat the Raiders. We get a chance to redeem ourselves and play the Jets next week for our playoff lives. Watch it happen.
If all this happens today, what else has to happen next week? We need to win. Anything else? I know I'm in the minority here for wanting to get into the playoffs, but still wanna know...
I could understand if this was a game against the Patriots and they had been outplayed as badly as they were today. But this was the Buffalo Bills with a backup QB and their best WR out for the entire game. They also lost their second best WR for most of the second half. The Dolphins just didn't show up today and they were completely over matched by Bills team who seemed to want it more than the Dolphins did. This has been the history of the Dolphins in late season games for too many years now.
Hats off to any Dolphans who actually attended that humiliating collapse. Can imagine sitting there was an ugly one, to say the least.
I don't know how that would have helped. The Dolphins have NEVER beaten the Texans and the Titans came to Miami last year and handed the Dolphins one of their worst home losses in quite some time. As far as Jacksonville is concerned, the Dolphins lost to Tampa Bay this year when they had zero wins going into the game. So there is no assurance that the Dolphins would have beat the Jags this year either. You have to beat the teams on your schedule if you expect to get into the playoffs. The Dolphins were beat twice by the Bills and once by the Bucs. These losses are probably what is going to prevent the Dolphins from being a playoff team this year. Quality playoff teams don't lose three games like this to what was suppose to be inferior talent. Obviously the talent on the Dolphins roster isn't as good as many people on this forum want to believe it is.
In the end this could be a blessing. We knew the team had TALENT problems and they were disguised in REALLY REALLY good stretches. I think we learned that Tannehill is potentially a really good QB, he has some things to improve on in the offseason and I still think we should draft a QB in 3rd Round JUST to be cautious. But I like Tannehill and Grimes and that's it, no one else on this team is untouchable. Lamar Miller, Daniel Thomas, Charles Clay, Wallace, Hartline, Wake, Pouncey, none of these people are Pro Bowl we can't get rid of them type, even Clay has had a deceptively good year, remember Kyle Rudolph had a breakout season cause the vikings fed fed fed the TE's because of a lack of WR, so yeah even Clay is replaceable - except for Tannehill and Grimes, i think it's a replaceable team AND i think the next GM has a TOUGH TOUGH TOUGH road ahead but I'm excited for the future because it will be NEW FACES, NEW PHILOSOPHIES, there is HOPE Dolphins fans even on this dismal bleak sunday, there is HOPE.
It's not the running backs. Miller and even Thomas are serviceable backs when there are holes. It's not Tannehill and it's not the receivers. They can play. It isn't the defense. It held the Bills to 19 points. It is the offensive line. Pure and simple. No running lanes. No time for Tannehill. No room to move. No points. Manhandled. Overpowered. And it's the drooling, senile old idiot who doesn't know what plays to put in to compensate even a little, and the other mental midget whose solution when he saw the state of the offensive line during the preseason was to lowball every free agent who could have helped, and when they told him to cram it, let them walk and took us into the season with what we have. It is not over, people. We'll play some games before we see another defense that matches up with our offensive line the way the Bills do. If we get some help tonight, everybody with a pair is going to come out in practice next week breathing fire, ready to eat the Jets alive. These are men. These are NFL players. These are the Miami Effing Dolphins. There'll be plenty of time after the season to fire Sherman, who Philbin hired after the Aggies canned him and keeps on just because he was his teacher; and Ireland, who besides having no clue is a world-famous a**hole to boot. Demote some offensive linemen to backups, and draft or sign an offensive line that can allow this team to grow. No more pear shaped, slow, weak offensive linemen, and no more spoiled wussies and head cases, and no more settling for what's available cheap. In the meantime, if we don't get eliminated tonight, it's time to get started preparing to exterminate those green vermin who will stand between us and the playoffs. Listen to Yogi. It ain't over till it's over.
Bills were playing chess on defense and Sherman waa playing checkers. Hartline had his head somewhere else.
