Dolphins RB Ronnie Brown (ACL surgery) expects to be cleared for contact when camp opens July 26. "I feel good, feel no hesitation," he said. Brown is also optimistic that he will be 100 percent by the start of the season and that he will quickly return to his pre-injury form. It's an optimistic outlook, but Brown is likely to have an adjustment period in addition to splitting carries with Ricky Williams. Rotoworld.com
It sounds good...but it also sounded good a couple years ago when Culpepper was saying the same things. Granted Pep's injury was much much worse...but I still hope he doesn't push himself too hard too quickly.
This was also reported on 1090 in San Diego by Philly Billy Werndel. He went on to say, Ronnie is a 'fine RB' and that him and Ricky will be a formidable duo. THEN he went on to say, "you know, while at Vanderbilt Ronnie Brown also played some Fullback" LMAO
History of this injury is working against Ronnie to be 100% by the start of the season. I hope its fine and well, but Im worried that it might still be awhile.
I hope he doesn't rush it. We have Ricky to carry the load if need be. I would rather see him sit another month than to push to hard.
Exactly, Ronnie will have to take some contact before the season starts, but I do not want to see him push to hard and have a setback early.
Sounds too good to be true. Hopefully he takes it easy and we ease him back into things slowly. He's too valuable to just throw in there without being too sure he's healthy
Ricky starts the season and Ronnie takes his time to get back to 100% - that's the only scenario I want to hear. Anything else is too risky, Ronnie is too important in 2009.
