Out coached...out motivated by a team that had nothing to play for.

Complete rebuild..make it happen..and get a new fu&$in stadium because it's obvious this team and past teams play with no emotion in this building..

    The building is a cancer..

Best running back in the draft and a new oline are the first steps this offseason..trading current players, releasing players to create room under the cap..

Ryan Tannehill..still not sure he is what a lot of folks think he is, I remain skeptical on Him being a franchise style Qb.I'll stand by that eval until he shows that he is engaged into a football game, until he understands how and when he needs to make plays..right now he does not understand how to use his legs and play with a sense of urgency from the opening play..kid doesn't get it yet.

That being said..FU$$ the pocket philosophy that was deployed by this staff, you neutered a perfectly good athletic Qb, and you suck for doing it....suck...it backfired on your dumasses, and I knew all along that it would...

Fire the GM and the staff..contrary to what some have been saying, your not gonna tell me these last two games was just a talent problem...it was bad coaching, not utilizing the players, bad gameplans, and a Qb that lacks instincts and awareness..

Oh, and I don't care what happens in San Diego..there is something seriously wrong around here..

I like Tannehill. There is talent here. You take the good, add to it and move on. Clean the front office and coaching staff first.

Why the **** should my taxpayer money support an absolutely pathetic franchise that historically loses at home when they need to win. Don't blame the stadium. It's the culture that sucks.

Philbin should be the first to go this team does not respond to him. I saw a total lack of urgency the whole game. Very bad play by this team for two straight games. Then Ireland of course but Philbin should be gone...Do it Ross, can them both.

I gotta see better coaching around Tannehill to see if he can rise to his potential, because there is potential. Lets not let the last 2 games completely overshadow the previous 3, or his improvement throughout the season. Last 2 games were complete organization meltdown, from coaches down to players.

I'll also like to see how he responds to this horrible end of this season, and how he responds to the clear shortcomings in his game that, at this point, should be very clearly laid out for him to work on.

    My final thought.

A college team could have scored more than 7 points over two games. Sherman needs to go. His offensive game plan is the same every week. We do nothing to attack our opponents weaknesses.

Say what we want about Coyle. Your defense gives up 19 and 20 points respectively you should win one of those games.

    Philbin I'm on the fence.

This scenario was my nightmare. I called for the house-cleaning before the Cincinnati game. I doubt it [fully] happens, despite it desperately needing to be done.

You have some pieces with Ryan Tannehill, Mike Pouncey, Cameron Wake and Dion Jordan to move forward with. Find a GM and coaching staff with the vision to build around that, please. That's all I want.

I've felt this way since the Buffalo loss after the bye. Others were more optimistic and truly it helped get me through. Thank you. I hate being pessimistic but it was clear how bad it got in Miami from a coaching and GM standpoint.

Take away the just unbelieveable plays by Clay and where are we? Where is Tannehill?

There are some things to like but most of it is just misappropriation of talent by the coaches.

that was awful. I knew the dolphins would not make the playoffs once it looked like it would come down to the last game. its typical. I believe the whole coaching staff and GM needs to be fired. you have to set a precedence that such losses are unacceptable WHEN THE WHOLE SEASON IS ON THE LINE.. philbin looked like he didn't want to be there... that probably trickled all the way down. it starts with him. I feel sorry for the guy, im sure hes a good guy. but not the right man for the job.

I'm turning the page on my previous opinion. Clean house completely. At the very very least Sherman needs to be fired immediately. I'm disappointed he hasn't been already.

Tannehill is the one guy I'd keep. The 2nd pick absolutely was NOT his fault and the last was garbage time.

It's not the players, it's not the coaches, it's not the GM. It the stadium's fault. It's Joe Robbie's fault for having such a sh!tty stadium built. It is all so clear now.

    And that's fair.

But here's my thinking...how many head coaches do well after their initial OC is fired due to poor success?

I mean tons of coaches move on to OC's after they were successful and hired as HC's...but how many HC's who are forced to get a new OC due to poor production actually work out??

Tannehill is literally the last thing this franchise needs to worry about.

I am hoping Sherman takes the high road and retires, and Phibin escorts the Sherman tag-alongs to the door shortly after, and after the draft (i'd be surprised if it happens before) Jeffy get's his walking papers.

Not to thrilled with Kevin Coyle right now, but he sticks around.

Falls on the coaches. Talent in the NFL between teams is usually comparable and when not one of your guys is making the key play...it falls on the staff for not putting them into position to make them.

Philbin had a totally reasonable chance to win this game at half. He failed. I lost a lot of faith in him today. Awful low point for this team.

Sorry it took two absolutely awful , atrocious games to have you get to the point you now know what needs to be done.

Enjoy firing day tomorrow. Several years too late which will make us a long shot again next year , but that is what happens when you make poor decisions for your GM and then let him kill you.

The bottom line is this. You can support making coaching change. We can go after yet another first time head coach (no established coach will come to a team that fires an 8-8 coach who wins 8 games with a poorly constructed roster). We can go get Todd Bowles, Jay Gruden, or whoever.

It isn't going to matter until we get players that can win one on one match ups consistently on the field.

Miami's problems right now are 90% personnel and 10% coaching.

The way some of you are acting about the coaching staff, you would think Cam Cameron was coaching this team again.

You said it deej, it's obvious where this team is lacking most. We may not have the best Qb or most talented roster in the league..... But I don't think it would matter with coaching like this. Awful....it would be a shame if Sherman kept his job. The defense was dissapointing, but the offense was a total failure. Philbin needs to be held accountable as well. We can do better....... And yes, the stadium is an issue..... Everyone downplaying it like DJ is on some wild goose chase is completely clueless. There is a reason the NFL won't be bringing any superbowls back to Miami..... The stadium isn't up to par with NFL standards. FACT.PERIOD. Tannehill is the guy at Qb, we just need someone to mentor him, preferably someone who didn't move him to WR at one point........... That should have been a red flag to begin with.

    You are 100% wrong.

Any NFL offense should score more than 7 points over two games and should win one of two when allowing 19 and 20 respectively.

The way this offense is coached is utterly embarassing. Our scheme is hard to watch and I'm not sure Sherman doesn't draw up his gameplan using crayons, construction paper, glue and glitter.

    Fire Ireland first.

No doubts for me , far too late , but you know ...we waited till "next year "yet again.

Coaches are at best mediocre , fire them too. No way an average staff gets performances like the last 2 weeks.

Black Monday tomorrow , make it happen. It doesn't and Ross and this team loses any creditability they have left , which is almost none.

So sorry a state , once again , still .

Why is it so hard for you to understand that we just lost to a team with less talent?

Your percentages are backwards. They both need to be fired.

We don't need a complete rebuild but we need a restructuring and overhaul. First off, Ireland should go. I don't think his personnel choices are terrible but they aren't great and he is an awful face of a franchise. Sherman needs to go as well. Awful. Philbin can stay for all i care but if our new GM wants a new coach i have no problem with that.

I Kevin Coyle doesnt want to switch to a 3-4 then he can go as well. We have the personnel of a 3-4 defense.

Personnell wise- The only people you keep on the O-line are Pouncey and Garner as a backup. Draft 1 tackle, 1 guard who can start next year in the draft. Get rid of John Jerry. Sign 1 Guard who can actually run block and 1 tackle whose specialty is pass blocking for next year. As bad as people talk about our pass blocking, our run blocking is 150X worse.

Get rid of Daniel Thomas for a late round pick, sign Legarrette Blount as our power back if he doesnt resign with the Pats to be Lamar Miller's compliment.
Resign Dustin Keller. We missed a traditional tight end badly.
Draft Mike Evans or Kelvin Benjamin in the draft. Everything we do in the passing game is finesse. We need a guy who we can throw the ball up to when we need it.
Draft or sign a 3rd RB who can be a guy who goes off into the slot. A "sproles" type of player who can be a force in the return game. Marcus Thigpen needs to go or at lead not be our returner anymore.
Cut Wheeler. Don't care about the money, eat it. Just get him as far away from me as humanly possible. Sign a second ILB to complement Ellerbe who is great against the run.
Cut Patterson and resign Carroll and Clemons.

This team needs to be changed a bunch.
