I'm still in total disbelief that with what was essentially 2 playoff games against Buffalo and NY we came out so freaking flat and played incredibly ****ty football like we did. 7 damn points against Buffalo and NY. There aren't words for how frustrating that is.

If you took a shot every time Philbin said "execute" you would be dead after a 15 minutes or so.

If we had won the game, it would have probably meant another season for Ireland and the entire coaching staff, and likely been a one game and done in the playoffs. So it ends a game sooner, and hopefully it means Ireland and most of the coaches are gone.

fact is good teams dont depend on calls, luck etc, they make their own plays. we did that against NE and Pitt, yet shat the bed against buf and NYJ. sign of an undisciplined team

I'm 34 been a fan my whole life along with my father. He at least lived through the heyday.......I was to young to know when Marino was in the super bowl. I saw his amazing career but have not seen anything close to success for basically my entire life. Mediocrity is much harder to deal with than just flat out awfulness. I can't understand how Ireland is still here and if he survives this I might be done. He makes all the decisions and none of them work out ever. Yes he lucked out on Wake. he drafts two stud DB's and we can;t coach them up and then give up on them in Smith and Davis. His one good draft pick ever was Jake Long and he lets him walk. Then they trade up not to replace him but to take Jordan. Guy doesn't even see the field half the games. That right there is enough for him to go. You don't move up to 3 in the draft unless you are sure its for a gamechanger. jordan may be a great player but they didn't give him a chance and you can't tell me that a team with the worst O line in the league wouldn't have been better served "This Season" by taking a stud O lineman. He gets rid of Marshall and then signs a speed receiver when he has a young quarterback who can't through the deep ball. He lets Dansby and Burnett go and Ellerbee and Wheeler play worse. You can't live through these decisions.

Defense has not been great lately but the offense score 7 points in 2 weeks against under .500 division rivals with our playoff lives in our hands. That's on Philbin and Sherman. Its gonna take me a while to come down from this.

oh, i thought you were just typing out the things he usually say and nailed it. I thought I was watching it live.

I find it so weird that he takes responsibility for stuff but at the same time spreads the blame to himself, coaches, and players.

Well, he's not going to throw his players under the bus at any point in time in public. That's a good quality in him IMO. I know fans want him to say more and call guys out... but you cant do that... that's how you loose the locker room. He sticks up for his guys, says the right things, and moves on. Where I get frustrated is... its the same old story (on the field) week after week. If you're watching so much film, and working hard, and correcting things... why did the on field results not change? That's where he and his staff failed this team IMO. The issues we saw today, and last week, were the same ones we saw all year. Nothing changed... OL stayed pourous, D was inconsistent, no running game, poor playcalling, the list goes on and on... it never changed... to me that's enough reason to consider a change.

Watching channel 3 down here, Jim Berry, Sam Madison hammering Tannehill about the Wallace overthrow, a game changer. Should have been 14-0, altered the mood of the game after that.

People can talk all the s*** they want- they showed that play several times, Wallace got a great release off the line, smoked the CB and Tannehill overthrew him, wide open, no stutter, no slip. He over f****** threw him. Same s*** as what happened most of the year. But-

In all fairness I'll say that jeez, it'd be nice to see Wallace leave his feet once and a while and dive for a freaking ball. But he was wide open, and it's no mystery, at least down here in sofla, who screwed the pooch on that one, as usual.

Ireland Philbin and Sherman all deserve a ticket out of town, and I prefer a coach that can inspire his men in big games, motivate them to fight, and Philbin ain't it. He has the personality of a wet rag. And Tannehill- I'm all for seeing potential in a young QB, but that dude is a LONG way from being a franchise or an elite QB. A long way.

ps I just watched both near TDs to Wallace, and again in the name of fairness, since I firmly believe that Tannehill has sucked donkey wang throwing deep to Wallace this year- dammit Wallace, go get the f***** ball, get more aggressive, for Pete's sake. It's not that I ever denied that he was lacking in that regard, but I call them like i see them and Wallace was particularly bad at that today. Tannehill, as usual, lacked as per the deep throws, but come on Wallace, get a little kelvin Benjamin in your game.

pps Tannhill is going to get someone maimed or killed throwing those high lollipop softballs over the middle, receivers stretched out, Safeties have half a second longer to clean the receivers' clock. Keller and Gibson taken out this year, I wonder who it will be next year. I'm warming up to the idea of drafting Kelvin Benjamin, an inaccurate QB like RT could use Benjamins' catch radius.
Dude is a little like Megatron, a little like Bolden and unfortunately a little like Ernest Wilford- not enough explosion. Initial impression, I have to see more, but that damn catch radius, wow, at 6-5 230 and the dude can jump, hang time, works a sideline and endzone. We could use a dude like that.

the tannehill-wallace situation is all about timing, it is something they will work on and it will be improved next year. tannehill his rookie season never had a weapon with speed like wallace. tannehill is now overthrowing wallace instead of under throwing. next season a lot of these misses will be big gains and touchdowns.

Cam Cameron was pathetic, but Wannstedt drained the life blood out of the organization. The worst.

As frustrating as the overthrows are, I think that they're closer to getting it right than the underthrows have been. 3,2,1 for the obvious responses...

As much as we talked down about the Jets this year we both ended up finishing 8-8. IMO that's a testament to NY's coaching staff and a detriment to ours considering we had the better 2013 roster IMO.

I don't even think it's's debatable at this point. Ryan is light years ahead Philbin.

I agree. It's obvious his players would run through a wall for him, and as far as coaching goes he's not bad either. lol

As much as I'd like to hate Rex I just cant. How much he cares about his team and his players is just mind boggling. The guy will go to any means possible to try to light a candle under his team's ***. I think it's awesome that he integrated the whole Clemson "bus intro" and "player walk" before games as a means to give back to the fans and lend greater perspective and emotion to his players. You can tell that it really means something to him. Plus he's fuggin' hilarious in interviews and likes the freaky stuff in the bedroom.

Rex Ryan lead his team to the same record as us with almost no talent and cap hell situation last offseason. Say what you want about his personal life but he's a damn good coach.

Tannehill was not responsible for them getting injured. That's a bit disingenuous.

Keller wasn't hurt catching a high lollipop throw and when Gibson got hurt, as I recall he wasn't even hit. It was a non contact injury.

Another "**** the bed" season has come and gone, where, yet again, the anticipation of the coming season was better than the season itself. So damn tired of it......
