I don't understand the need of folks here to constantly want to place more blame on one person than another. Do you support one player or do you support the team? Does it make you feel better to blame one player more than another for what truly ends up being the team's failures?

WHO GIVES A **** WHO IS MORE TO BLAME!!!! The whole team failed. The whole team is equally to blame. Every single person involved with this team was a direct contributor to the final outcome. Blame one guy or another is as dumb as it ****ing gets.

Not good enough is this pathetic OL and running game. Not good enough is drafting 2 RB's that can't run, can't block and can't pick up a blitz. Not good enough is a WR who gets a truck load of cash and shows very little effort. Not good enough is running against the best run defense, not running against a horrible run defense, 4th and 1 dives with your TE and not doing anything to try and slow down pass rushes that accounted for 58 sacks. Not good enough is letting your QB get abused all season.

Yes, Ryan Tannehill needs to get much better. He needs to stop turning the ball over. And he needs to start hitting Mike Wallace when he's f**king wide open.

This is a team sport. This team was not good enough.

No... I never once said anything about the last two games, so quit putting words in my mouth.... Im referring to other games through the season, as the goofball in the original post was... glad you're paying attention. Unbelievable.

That being said... you're proud of the defensive effort today against Geno Smith and the Jets... or against the Thad Lewis twice this year? Or how about against Carolina? Saints? Baltimore? Tampa? Lacking some long term memory there are we?

Can we please get this joke of a thread off the main page and into the rant/junk forums already so we dont have to see this garbage?

Are you ****ing kidding me? Where did I say keep or cut anyone? Can't you read?

I'm just tired of people always looking to pin the whole team's failures on one or two players, on one or two plays. Everyone had the opportunity to make a positive impact and did not. Everyone has to shoulder blame for the team's failures, singling out a couple of players as the biggest reasons for the failures is obtuse, inaccurate and just plain dumb.

I'm willing to give Tannehill another year. He's just so incredibly inconsistent. He's also being killed by horrible coaching.

He was bad these last two weeks and same blame should fall to him. A lot of it. He's the QB.

I disagree with this idea that Tannehill is a franchise QB though. I don't see it.

It's called summarizing...............................If you can't place blame in specific areas, you'll never improve. Your touchy feely win as a team and lose as a team is laughable at this level.

How much more is Tannehill supposed to do? He's not Superman. Some of you are getting ridiculous in the blame you're placing one the one player who actually handled himself well this year.

But no, no. Everything is Tannehill's fault, right?

Get sacked in under 2 seconds? Tannehills fault.

    Receivers can't catch? Tannehill's fault.

Wallace refuses to fight for the ball? Tannehill's fault.

Running backs can't pick up a blitz? Tannehill's fault.

    3rd and 8? Tannehill's fault.

    No running game? Tannehill's fault.

    Bad play calls? Tannehill's fault.

Yeah, it was the whole team that threw three picks today, overthrew receivers consistently for 17 weeks, and consistently choked under pressure. Tannehill is a tough kid but he's just not accurate enough to be a starting NFL QB.

From accuracy issues to reacting poorly to pressure, he's not the guy to lead us in 2014.

tannehill played bad these last 2 games, but he had a good season with marked improvement. with another offseason working with wallace a lot of those misses this year are going to be turned into big completions and touchdowns.

like i have said a million times. when it comes down to what is wrong with the dolphins tannehill is not on the list.

    It's called being obtuse.

You can still point out the deficiencies and needed areas of improvement of each player, without single handily blaming them for the collective team failures. Each and everyone of the players, coaches and management did something to directly or indirectly contribute to the overall failure of the franchise.

He threw about 9 accurate passes the entire day...and that's out of 40 passes. Without Hartline in there, the guy who makes circus catches look routine, there was nobody left to cover up his wildly inaccurate tendencies. How many times did he stand in the pocket over the past two weeks on 3rd down when he could have practically walked for the 1st down? He's just not good enough to start at this level.

This is big boy sports, not Jr high. Decisions need to be made and you can't worry about hurting someones feelings. If you f*ck up you need to be told so and move on. Winning franchises do it all the time. We don't.

Consistent pressure, consistently rushing your throws due to the poor OL in front of you, can lead to many inaccurate passes you know...

Yup. Blame thew young quarterback, the same guy is THE ONLY reason we were in position to make the ****ing playoffs.

Ignore the defense, who allowed Geno ****ing Smith to drive the length of the field on us, twice. Who lost to 3rd rate quarterbacks on back to back weeks. Got shredded by Mike ****ing Glennon. Yup, ignore them.

Ignore the worst offensive line in franchise history.

Ignore the colossally idiotic playcalling of Mike Sherman.

Ignore the head coach, having his team completely unprepared on multiple occasions.

Ignore getting ZERO contribution from an entire draft class.

    Yup, all the quarterback's fault.

    Carry on.

He's supposed to be this elite athlete who happens to play QB. He has no athletic ability in the pocket and has no idea when to tuck it and run and use his supposed WR running skill.

WE(or they) picked him. I know how ya feel but 60% of blame should go on Dolphins front office.

He threw for just under 4,000 yards this season with a positive TD/INT ratio while playing behind the worst offensive line in franchise history with no running game. In fact, he threw for more yards than guys like Eli, Cam, Luck, RG3, Wilson, and Kaepernick.

But you're right, he doesn't deserve to be a starter in the NFL, even though half the teams in the league would probably kill to have him.

For evey Qb in the last 10 years, there've been plenty excuse makers. I remember we needed an Oline for John Beck too cause poor John Beck did not have time, and same excuses for every lousy QB we've ever had, except for Fiedler. I don't know why but Fiedler did not get that benefit of the doubt. I guess his Oline was awesome.

Are you seriously comparing John "Tiny Hands" Beck to Tannehill?

And we're not just talking about a bad oline. We're talking about the absolute worst oline in franchise history, possibly even in NFL history.

To be fair this reaction is expected, and justified in the immediate aftermath of two of the worst losses in the history of the franchise.

This site is still far from Finheaven. Strong post-game reactions happen on every fansite. Waltz on over to the Ravens boards. And they won the Super Bowl last year, and have won two in the 21st century as well as multiple playoff games and division titles.

Good lord was he bad today. We should keep in mind that one of the knocks on him as a draft prospect was that he folded in big games. Well, he laid 2 giant eggs with the postseason on the line for us here. That said, he has some great tools and made lots of progress with very little support from the other 10 guys on the field. I do think we go into next year with him.

Like I said, Tannehill threw 31 s&#t balls today....regardless of whether or not they were caught. The screen pass to Wallace's feet (which wasn't actually a catch), you guys celebrate that as a catch and a notch on TH's "awesome abilities". Everyone else sees it for what it is; a guy who can't complete even basic throws with no pressure at all. This happened DOZENS of times today and DOZENS of times last week, yet all the rah rah crowd can say is that it's someone else's fault. The three interceptions today; not one of them was a takeaway...all three passes were horrible. That's not the line or the receiver or the coaching staff; that's 100% on the quarterback.

Bottom line, Ryan Tannehill does not have the skill-set to move the chains for 4 quarters. The only reason we won this year at all was because our defense kept us in every contest and 2 TD's (plus a FG or two) was enough to win.
