Good point there I forgot about Jake Long and was thinking more of somebody else.

You are correct. But I do not care how NFL scouts evaluate players. That is how I evaluate them.
Now, we all have our quirks. Your quirks is looking at the numers after the facts, regardless of who the QB or the system is. That is why you have Amaro over Ebron for example, because he has this many yards in redzone and so forth.
On my "chart" Amaro is not a Beastmode.

I think you're most likely severely mischaracterizing the reason he has Amaro over Ebron.

Nah it's all about red zone yards. That's actually how I rank my TEs, I don't take anything else into account. Austin Seferian-Jenkins #1!!!

But seriously, I wish we had Joe Fauria, having a real red zone target like that would be so invaluable. If you had a Fauria and then could pair him with an Ebron/ Richard Rodgers, that'd be a really nice set of TEs.

Hell I'd pair Joe Fauria with Charles Clay and fall asleep with a smile on my face every night. Of course I'd hope I have some tackle depth to bring a 3rd OT on the field whenever we needed our TEs to actually block, but that's OK.

But I've been talking up Joe Fauria for like three years so you're preaching to the choir.

I hear ya. I even have the Iowa games downloaded. He's next on my list of guys to chart right after L'Damian Washington.

Don't expect a lot of variety in Washington's game. But the thing he does well...he's built to do very, very well.

As for Fiedorowicz I like him. But I don't love him. I think he's a role player, and not the type you expect to end up with big stats at the next level.

With this year's draft class pretty much getting red shirted , we could have a double draft class next year.

Yet to be determined if the picks were merited of course , as when they don't play it is hard to evaluate.

Just FYI, dolphins hold the following picks

    1st round #19
    2nd round #50
    3rd Round #81
    4th Round #112
    5th Round #143
    6th Round #174
    7th Round #211

We owe the Raven's a late round pick for McKinnie but it is unconfirmed which pick. If we have a new GM I wouldn't be surprised to trade out of the first round to get more picks elsewhere. This draft is loaded with OL talent so moving back probably wouldn't kill us.

Ugh I forgot that the cycle among ties makes us have to work our way up from the bottom. I thought we would be #19, #46 and #79.

As for the 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th round picks...the ordering will be subject to the compensatory picks doled out league-wide.

Either way, my original point stands. I could see us trading out of the first round. Maybe even pick up some FA OL and bank a couple draft picks. The patriots have killed by doing that.

The more I think about it, the more needs we have on this roster. Like...damn. The Wheeler and Ellerbe signings appear to have set the defense back a couple years, imo, they need replacing but it just makes little financial sense to do that.

But at the same time we need BIG impact guys, guys who the other team fears. Right now I'd say those are: Cam Wake, Grimes who we need to pay big, and Mike Wallace if Tannehill could hit him when he's open all these times. That's just not enough.

We have holes at 4 out of 5 OL positions. We have 2 to 3 holes in the LB core. We will have one hole on the DL. We have a hole at TE, probably two at WR, 1 or 2 at RB, and depending on how FA goes, a few in the secondary.

I like Erving. I like Moses's combo of power and movement for a guy that size, but as a straight up LT Erving looks like a very good athlete to me, better suited for LT. Tall, sturdy, moves well for a big man. Again, no D'Brickashaw here, but he positions well and I'd be comfortable having him at LT. Strikes me more as a position guy than straight up power player, but has some power as well. Nice iso here at 3:18:

As to kelvin Benjamin- very intruiging. Physical beast, not only can jump with hang time, but he goes up the get the ball, huge catch radius withthat frame and desire to go get the ball. Great red zone threat and move a little better than I thought- my main concern with him is speed/quicks/explosion- he's not great there, but does have some straight line speed, especially for his size. Playmaker. This might not seem like much, but in the Erving clip there's a good wide screen shot at 2:25, gives a better indication of how Benjamin is moving, not bad:

He'll never be the fastest guy, but he's huge, a playmaker and he can block- I'd like to see him paired up with Wallace, matchup nightmare. He's an aggressive playmaker, we could use some of that mojo. He's already 23 iirc, was involved in some pretty serious shiznit apparently when he was younger, held back 2 years in school, could have been behavior issues, not sure, should be checked out.

Benjamin got caught up in his own hype. When he showed up to FSU, Jimbo benched him and redshirted him. Learned a lot of humility during that year. Has come out of it as a much better player and more responsible person from what I hear.

It's early to say for sure because we have so many FAs, but yea, it ain't pretty. I disagree only at WR - I think we're good there. A legit prototypical TE and feature back will make this WR unit look damn good, imo.

Glades Central will not have star wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin for its final two regular season games, including the Muck Bowl, and the entirety of the playoffs. The Florida High School Athletic Association does not allow students to participate in athletics once they hit the age of 19 years, 9 months. Benjamin will reach that limit in November, after the Raiders’ eighth regular season game.

Benjamin said he repeated third and seventh grade and also had a legal issue that kept him out of school. He declined to elaborate on that situation other than saying he “got in some trouble.”

    lol

Excellent job. That is beast mode. That's what the Phins need. Forget OTs.

(BTW as far as beastmode, Scout grading scale goes by numbers:
    • 90-100 Rare Prospect
Player demonstrates rare abilities and can create mismatches that have an obvious impact on the game. Is a premier college player that has all the skill to take over a game and play at a championship level. He rates in the top 5 players in the nation at his position and is considered a first round draft prospect.)

I'd like to have the High picks back that we gave up to move up and draft Dion Jordan. 2 O lineman could have been had.

Unless you're talking about Larry Warford, exactly none of those guys should be inspiring confidence over Dion Jordan.

I don't see him making it that far but if he does then its a no brainer to me. I think the league is seeing how important TEs are to a team and one like him isn't going to make it past 15.

That would be really cool. I love that guy! I'm convinced he'll do great. Arm, intelligence, mobility, leadership; it's all there. Just watch the bowl game again. That said, we already have a QB that's also quite good. So unless the new GM/coaches/whatever want their own QB, I don't see it happen. I personally wouldn't say no to picking him in that case, though. (I'm a Tannehill fan! But Johnny's too...)
