This is the guy. When you put aside Jake Matthews, it's not even close as to Greg Robinson and the rest of this year's OT class. Better run blocker that Kouandjio. Better athlete, feet, kick slide and movement that Cameron Erving. He leaves those two, Lewan, Moses and Richardson in the dust. No contest. The film tells it all- the power, the size, the feet, the dominance, the speed, the quickness. This is an elite prospect, the one guy who I can think of who I'd trade up for if the opportunity arose. Ten to twelve year starter at LT. Pro Bowl, maybe All-Pro. Set it and forget it, problem solved.

    I know, and that's a bummer. He's just too good , I'm thinking top 10 for him.

A lot of the mock drafts I've seen, and this is early, have him at # 9 at this point. Admittedly, it's early, but I can't see Greg lasting until we pick unless we move up --- and unfortunately, it would be tough for us to lose second day picks (2nd and/or 3rd rounders). We need too much to do that. Obviously, free agency might change a little, but I still think we're going to need every high pick we have.

**** fans who advocate personnel decisions based on their withered, misfiring attention spans.

I also have Greg Robinson second only to Jake Matthews and I'm not solid on Matthews being on top either. I could be convinced.

I think that Matthews is outstanding. Robinson strikes me as the kind of player that just has it all, the Megatron of OTs. I don't see a weakness there- as to who is the better of those two, I don't really know- intangibles, intelligence, demeanor, all of that has to be checked out. All I know is that they are both top flight players, and personally I think that Robinson is one of the most impressive OT prospects that I've ever seen, I don't see a weakness in his game, at least not yet. I would seriously consider trading #19 and a 2nd rd pick for either if one of them slides, you never know. Lotuleilei slid to what, #14 last draft? Dude's a beast. I like Dion Jordan, but we could have had Lotuleilei and Menekik Watson if we held tight at #12, think about that one.

The bottom line is that Matthews and Robinson are elite prospects, and Robinson is a total, complete physical stud when it comes to his position, as both a run blocker and in pass pro. Dominating at both, what a player.

Matthews is also quite a run blocker and excellent in pass pro, darned good feet and kick slide. I'm not one to be all focused on second level blocking, but he certainly can do that well. he's tenacious as hell, too.

I'd have to say that Matthews is the safer pick, they're both home runs and Robinson is the potential grand slam. Every year I seem to get focused on a player or two, and this year so far it's Greg Robinson. Love, love, love this guy as an NFL LT.

Here's a good clip of one heck of an OT tandem, Matthews and Ogbuehi. To me, right now, if Ogbuehi comes out in the draft he's my #3 LT. I don't care if he's playing RT in college, his feet, movement and body positioning are that good. I haven;t heard much about him, and I wonder if because he's a sleeper stuck in the shadow of Matthews or because he hasn't declared yet. Whatever the reason may be, he's damn good.

    Hrmph.

I may have spoken too soon on Greg Robinson. It's easy to fall in love with his power especially on run plays...but when you take a closer look at his feet there are some serious problems.

Yeah that would be stupid. It's only one of the most important positions on a football team and Miami's biggest need is along the line. Morons if they pick one. You tell 'em

I don't know what you're referring to, but no other OT in this draft besides Matthews is even close to Robinson. If I had to pick who is ranked #3 I'd say the guy from Alabama, and if I was specifically looking for a LT then maybe the OT playing across from Matthews at Texas A&M. Love Robinson, love Matthews, but that dude from A&M Ogbuehi might have the best feet I've seen so far.

The best that I could say about whatever feet issues that you feel Robinson has- I hope that the feeling goes viral and by some miracle he falls to #19. He won't. Anyway, do share the flaws that you perceive.

Miami Dolphins Scout’s Take: OT Greg Robinson

    Strengths:

Robinson’s biggest trait, or rather strength, is his athleticism. The kid runs like a running back, yet has the power of, well, an offensive tackle. He’s a terror in open space as a blocker and could be the blue-print for a pulling tackle on screens.

My favorite trait about this kid, being an offensive lineman myself (formerly at least), is his ability to get to the second level. He uses his athleticism to get to the second level to wash out linebackers and even safeties on occasions.

Coming from a run dominant scheme, he’s almost perfected his run blocking to a tee. He is a very, very, very powerful run blocker and bends extremely well. The kid is as strong as an ox and rarely gets pushed backward off the line of scrimmage, which is a trait that offensive minded coaches really covet.

There is 0 chance he is falling to us. Possibly the best OL in the draft.
