I'm starting to think our owner is a major problem we had a franchise low vs an 0-8 team and lost to a practice squad qb twice in 1 season. How that doesn't get people fired left and right is beyond me. I'm not even going to the fact all we had to do was beat a jets team we killed on the road at home to make the playoffs and didn't show up. Because I already saw that loss coming after Buffalo dropped our pants and bent us over the week before.

We can only hope. If he wants to put his neck out for Sherman then it's William Wallace time.

If Philbin and Sherman are as tight as everyone says, then I don't think Sherman lets Philbin lose his job over his. I think Sherman will resign, taking Philbin off the hook. If Sherman doesn't and Philbin refuses to fire him (assuming that is what Ross wants), then Philbin will be committing NFL head coaching suicide. Who would ever hire him as head coach based on his 2 year body of work. Sherman has to know this and should fall on the sword to prevent that from happening to his friend.

It was my understanding that if the Titanic had stayed the course (or turned much earlier) it actually wouldn't have met with such a dire fate. It was the fact that they turned when they did that led to the worst possible outcome. Seeing as how we already missed turning early (firing Ireland when we let Sparano go), perhaps not firing either is the best option. :shifty:

I would have fixed the glitch in the payroll system and the problem would have worked itself out naturally.

After the way this season ended, at this point, I couldn't give a s--t what they do or who replaces who. I'm still so bummed, pissed, burned out, etc, etc, etc. Long offseason. Ehh, I'll get over it soon...I guess. :crapstrom::favre:

I'm not saying full speed is at all the way to go, but head on may certainly lead to a "successful" (albeit damaged) journey.

We need to go full steam and straight a head instead of doing half measure moves. We've tried that already and it didn't work.

It's becoming apparent the Miami Dolphins is a business to Mr Ross and not a football passion born from the love of the game. I'm interested to know what if any background Mr Ross has beit playing or supporting a team beit college or NFL from his youth to now. Ross just seems like he only reacts by media coverage or ppl in his ear.

I'm not sayin I'll stop being a fan, but if Ross hires Mangini and Tannenbaum....I'm done with football indefinitely.

Tannebaum at least put together a roster that made it to the AFC Championship game twice. IMO replacing Ireland with him wouldn't be a step down, though hopefully a better choice could be found.

I hear Turner typically travels with an entourage of bodyguards.

By chance, were they the offensive linemen for the Miami Dolphins?

Never said he was perfect, but if you judge his personnel moves by the on field results, he did better than Ireland has done so far.
